IPod problems after Flashing with 1.1.1

I downloaded and flashed my iPod with the 1.1.1 updater and went as far as to completey wipe the iPod and reload everything. I did this and the iPod has been working fine. Well I got some new songs the other day and went to plug the iPod into the USB port. The computer proceded to ding several times as if I had plugged in then uplugged the device several times. While this was happening the iPod would go from "Do Not Dissconect" to the main menu and back, until finally it stops at "Do Not Disconnect". The computer never recognizes the iPod and finally I have to disonnect the iPod, I know that's bad.
After that the iPod will either be stuck in "Do Not Disconnect" until it dies or will "seem" fine for a while but freeze doing something until it dies. I also noticed in one instance it seemed fine, but I noticed that the Play/Stop/Pause icon in the top left of the screen was not there. It finally froze playing a video and I had to wait until it died.
Incidentaly, if I do wait untill it dies, it really does reset and works fine, I can even charge it with the car charger. Also, this happens no matter which of my 4 computers I try to use.
I would just re-flash it with the origional firmware, but I won't be able to do that untill I can get a computer to recognize the iPod.

Try backdating to iPod Updater 2006-01-10 (1.1 for Nano) and restoring with that updater. If you're having problems getting the iPod to be recognized by the updater, put it into disk mode first.

If it's a one-time "glitch," you can try restarting your computer with the iPod still connected. Try ejecting again after the restart.
If the problem recurs, you may have a process running (other than iTunes) that is accessing the iPod's storage. When connected, the iPod's "disk" is like other mounted volumes. This process may be some type of utility that continously monitors your mounted volumes for security reasons, such as to prevent access by malware.
If you know of such a program that you have running in the background, there may be a setting to exclude your iPod's disk.

Sound Problems after Flash 11.3 Update

This reply is to the post by Ortho_Fan, number 28, which references a Firefox forum and "Firefox Hates New Update." This thread is specifically about problems that Flash 11.3 is causing with Firefox but the problem isn't with Firefox, it is with Flash Player 11.3.
I have no sound with Firefox, Chrome or Safari. I do have sound with IE9 but some people do not.

I've branched this discussion into it's own thread, because the issue you're describing is different than the issue from the previous thread, which was related to a specific crash instance. We'd like to keep the threads focused on particular issues to help both investigate and collate the information coming in, and to aid in discovery for people that are experiencing similar issues. For the sound issue you're experiencing, I would recommend that you follow the advice in the threads you've referenced above.
Flash Player 11.3 included new sound enhancments to facilitate support for low-latency audio, to facilitate more repsonsive sound in complex Flash games. While we try to test a wide array of hardware, and conduct months of beta testing, it's impossible to hit every device, OS, browser and driver combination.
Please ensure that you have the lastet drivers installed for your sound card/chipset. If the problem persists, please post details of your configuration to that forum thread so that we can track down that hardware/driver combo and investigate the problem.
As a workaround, you may wish to roll back to Flash Player 10.3, until a new version is available. Flash Player 10.3 contains up-to-date security patches (we maintain one major version back for Enterprise), and will revert the sound change that is causing problems for you.

K7N2 Delta problem after flashing from 5.0 to 5.3

I was using my K7N2 Delta nicely but after flashing the BIOS from 5.0 to 5.3 in LiveUpdate3 (all OK) and then when LiveUpdate ask to reboot... GOOD BYE!
When bootin the D-lights show that I have a processor damaged or not intalled properly (two red light up, and two green down...).
My processor is an Old Tbird 1.2 Ghz with 100FSB.
The question is: Why the mother stops recognicing the processor if before flashing BIOS worked nicely?.
J10 and J11 jumpers:
When I opened case to check out, I had the green J10 and J11 jumpers closed in the mother. The J10 was in safe mode, and the J11 jumper was closed...(133FSB-166FSB??).
I only have another athlon 1.1 ghz FSB100 processor to test the mobo, but I don´t want to take the risk of burn that one two (if is that the problem, of course).
So... I want to know how can I reflash the bios back (I have the old BIOS in a backup floppy disk, of course)... or if anyone else have the same problem as me....
Thanx a lot guys, and please help me... I´m very sad by now... because I don´t know how to get my computer to work.

N95 - Problem after flashing F/W No 12.0.013

After flashing F/W 12 to my N95 / (RM-159 07.01) through Nokia Software Updater, I found that the phone was loaded with a different set of available languages. As a result, Greek language was no more available.
Before the update, the phone was operating with 'Automatic' menu language (resulting to Greek) and English writing language. It's an unbranded model.
Note: A month ago, I had upgraded another (unbranded) N95 with no problem (Greek language was existing also after the ugrade). However it had different settings: Menu in English and Writing in English.
Can anybody help to recover the lost set of languages in the last N95?

Very strange.
I would suggest that you contact your network and tell them that your sim isn't working properly but don't tell them what caused it (so they can't blame it on you).
They should replace your sim free of charge as it's not your fault.

4G iPod problems after installing iTunes 7.3.1

Immediately after I upgraded iTunes to 7.3.1, my 4G iPod ceased to sync correctly. It's not in disk mode, and it's set to sync automatically (not manually managed). The battery is fully charged. Nevertheless, the sync process never seems to complete. "Do Not Disconnect" blinks continually (for hours at a time), and trying to eject the iPod from the Finder or from iTunes results in iTunes hanging or crashing.
If I reset the iPod while it's disconnected, it seems fine after the reboot, but the sync problem persists. Nothing changes if I let iTunes launch automatically when I connect the iPod instead of connecting it while iTunes is already running - same sync issue. I also tried restoring the iPod, but got the "iPod could not be restored" error in iTunes. I've tried rebooting the computer itself, also.
Any suggestions? Is this even an iPod problem (as opposed to an iTunes problem)? My iPhone is having no syncing problems, for what it's worth.

Sorry, I am going to be no help to you. I just wanted to chime in that I am havng the exact same problem since updating Itunes to 7.3.1. I can only sync a few songs before things hang as you described. I was able to restore my Ipod once, but still have the same syncing issue. Mine is a 20 gig 4G.
When it's hung trying to sync, you can here some funky noises coming from the Ipod, I thought the harddrive was just going out on it. It also gets hot if you let it keep trying to sync once it gets stuck. But, if I do a reset and connect it again, it will sync a few more songs, then hang up again.

but i think its because the ddrs were made by 2 diff manuf. and the new bios reports the cas lwrong for both both are actually 2.5 but it shows 2.5 for one and 3 for the other....dont know why thuis happened...and cpu-z shows one clocked at 166.7 and the other at 200......
also the ddr 533s would not be able to give their full potential in my config?...
as i am planning to get new ddrs as i have to give these to my bro...

Flashed to version 3.8 and lost both sound and modem (both PCI cards).
Sound card is Creative SoundBlaster 5.1. On-board sound already disabled.

Problem after flashing 6156 board

After trying to install a 80 gb hard disk in a computer with a 6156 motherboard, I wanted to flash the BIOS with the version 1.6 one from the MSI website. First, after trying to run the flasher directly from the disk, it just hanged without writing anything. I "fixed" that by using the command /F and forced the flasher to use the flashing code from the onboard bios. That worked a little and the flashing was successful, but now the computer doesn't boot anymore
I can take the bios to an electronics store to get it reflashed, but that will cost, and i'm still uncertain why it didn't work.
1. I read from other threads i found through search that some series of 6156 boards use AMI bios, not Award. The bios chip has a little holographic sticker on it with AWARD written on it, so shouldn't that be an award bios? I can't check the identification string because the computer doesn't boot.
2. If it is an award bios, why didn't my flash work? Could it be that a faulty download leaves a corrupt bios?
3. On the side of the little board where the processor is on, the identification MS6905 is on. Does this mean that I have to flash the bios with the 6905 version?
Right now I'd like to carry the chip to the store and get it flashed with the 6156 bios, but if that doesn't work then I'm out $20 and still at the same place...

Problems after flash player update with firefox

I have problems with video streaming on firefox after the flash player updated to 11.7. The video plays but the audio suddenly stops while the video continues to play but will also stop after a few seconds. Does anyone know what may cause this problem?

Flash Player installs to the Windows directory that standard user accounts do not have access to, therefore, Admin access is required for installation.

ITunes 11.0.4(4) - problems after synching with iPod

iTunes was working beautifully, until I syched with an iPod that I hadn't used in a few months. Following the synch, when I open my music library in ITunes, I no longer have a "playlist" button along the top edge. There are only a "songs", "albums", "artists", "genres", "videos", "radio" and "match" buttons. As well, when I click the create new playlist button (located at the bottom left-hand side), a blank screen opens with the new playlist title at the top, rather than a new playlist screen to the right of my music library. So now, when creating a new playlist, I can no longer "drag & drop" songs from the music library into the new list. Also, there is no longer a quick disconnect button in the top right-hand side of the screen when my iPhone is connected, and no ITunes Store button in the top right-hand corner either. Instead, the iPhone shows up only on the left-hand side of the iTunes window, under the "devices" heading, and the ITunes Store button is also available only on the left-hand side, under the "store" heading.
I am wondering whether I can "reinstall" iTunes to recover the lost features? I'm worried that if I do reinstall, I might have issues with my saved playlists, etc. Perhaps it would be best to wait for the next iTunes update?
Any advice, help, suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.

IPod Problem after problem after problem

Is it just me, or are there a rediculous amount of problems with iPods? They really are an appauling piece of kit! I had an iPod Mini:
I had the Do Not Disconnect error all the time;
I had the -36 error all the time (why not put out a proper flipping error message, that means absolutely nothing to a user!!!!);
it sometimes didn't update all the songs;
iTunes didn't always recognise it;
I got an error message to say there was an unexpected error with iTunes nearly everytime I connected it (this being the first time I connected after I had loaded up my computer);
So I thought, maybe I just got unlucky with this iPod.
Well......I decided to buy an iPod Nano! I'm thinking this might be a mistake.
I've had it one week, one week!!!! and just look:
I've had all the errors I had with my Mini apart from the -36 error;
First time i use it, not all the Album art had updated;
then I started to get Cannot read or write to iPod error;
Now the whole flipping thing has gone busted! I get the error with the Folder and exclamation mark which says contact Apple support website.
I'm just appauled with the whole thing. Just an unbelievable amount of problems with them!
I've searched about on Google to see if there are problems with Sony Walkmans but can't see anything! I may just get shut of it - stick with Sony, always come up trumps with quality kit!

I also have that error {-36} problem in my ipod nano! I dont know why it always disconnect itself after updating itself automatically when i open the itunes. Like the mini, the nano should be on the "DO NOT DISCONNECT" shouldn't it? I've always had to disconnect and reconnect for me to avoid the {-36}, sometimes i'm lucky and sometimes i'm not. When i'm not, it shows the {-36}. When i am lucky, it does it automatically. I just dont know why it always disconnect it self automatically. When it disconnect and you try to sync it, it shows the {-36} What do i do to stop this from happening? It really gets tiring to disconnect and reconnect just to put music or to sync the photos in the ipod nano. I had follow these steps shown in http://www.apple.com/support/ipod101/help/2/#3 and it still doesnt help. I've done the update on the windows, and the software interferance? I do not know which program that might be interfering with the ipod nano or the itunes? I know i have zonealarm antivirus, mafee spyware, and ad aware but i dont know if they are the cause of this. Do you think it can be the ipod drive, damaged maybe? I've reformated 2 times and i think that should be enough but still the same problem. Somebody please help me!

Problems after Flash Player update

i am writing because i have some strange sensations in my
application after i updated my flash player to version 9,0,115,0.
this is the problem:
i have a dynamic textfield with htmlt text, in this html text
i have some img-tags which i use to add Sprites into the htmltext
that have some kind of user interactivity (rollover, click...).
until now everything worked fine, just with the update i have
the problem that i lost the interactivity to this objects.
just some sprites which have embedded assets from a swf have
the interactivity (rollover, click...) but also jsut on the
embedded symbols and not on the whole sprite.
example: if i put the event on the sprite:
this.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, doSomething)
the event will be just dispatched if i click on the embedded
symbols.
i tried Security.allowDomain('*') but this didnt solved my
problem
its like i am getting no focus on the sprite.
like i said before... it was working before the update :-(

Hi Alex, It could be that with the Upgrade to SP2(a major upgrade) it upset Flash Player:-) I've had various glitches when making system changes as well. Then with the 10.1 version of Flash Player being released at the same time, you may have just got caught in the cross fire:-)
It sounds like you did everything correctly, but I just want to touch base on the ActiveX Control not being registered.
When this message is received it can mean the Administrator Account was not used, giving the permissions needed for that. It could also mean that your Anti-Virus/Firewall could have blocked it. Some A/V's even when disabled prior to Uninstalling/Installing, will re-enable upon the first Reboot after the Uninstall.

DR8-A2 problems after flashing to 160d

i have a msi dr8-a2
recently (after upgrading the firmware) it just does not read sony dvd+r discs(previously burnt)..
it used to read them fine before....also reads any other dvd media fine
what seems to be the problem?
the same disc also reads fine on my msi 16x dvd drive...

yeah well i had to update my firmware for burning fuji discs at 8x otherwise even though it would burn at 8x the disc would be unreadable...
this was fixed with the 160d firmware...
however the sony read problem is a major one which should be rectified...
since the msi dr-8a /a2 family uses the same sanyo chip which is also employed in the optowrite ddo401 which also has the same problem...
basically the 160e firmware in the optowrite page is just modified so that it would be able to flash the msi drive as the msi shows up as atapi8xmax instead of generic 8xmax

Ipod problems after the iOS update

anyone else having trouble with their ipod after the iOS 8 update? like it won't charge past 20% and it keeps like restarting itself and whenever it does that like I usually have to unplug the charger and plug it back in for it to turn on since it acts like its dead when it does that

A very few have reported problems:
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try another cable
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
