IPod recognizable on one Mac(older) and not another(newer)
Just recently out of the blue, my eMac stopped recognizing my iPod. However my much older powerbook still recognizes it. My iPod was updated to the present software version. My eMac will just charge my iPod. I have tried EVERYTHING, even going as far as restoring the thing on the older mac. Needless to say I am quite vexed. Any insight?

You don't need to do anything. iTunes will automatically recognise different devices as different devices. Just plug it in.
You can rename the device by clicking the name in the side panel in iTunes for your own identification purposes, but this name does not matter to iTunes. -
ITunes 12.1.2.7 works for one user profile and not another on the same PC
When using iTunes 12.1.2.27 with my user profile in Windows 7, it will run for about a minute before I get the message that iTunes has crashed and that Windows is searching for a solution. It never finds one, and the problem persists. I've tried doing a restart of the computer and uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. Nothing works.

Bookmarks are not syncing to ONE of my Macs, but showing up on other Mac (work), iPhone 4 and iPad 1. Macs are on Mountain Lion. Tried all of Apple's suggestions - and the one Mac is still not updating/syncing Bookmarks or Reading List. What's going on? Do I have to wait to OS update? It seems lots of peolple were having issues before ML, but I as fine. Since ML, I am having all kinds of issues!
Yeah, I literally have tried everything except deleting my iCloud account (I'm close, but that would require so many changes that it is way too painful to consider at this point).
I am still waiting to hear back from Apple Support. Hopefully something can be done, or they can do a reset on their end.

I created a new library so I can use it for just my music, but now my ipod will only sync to my old library and not the new one I created, even though I'm in the new library when I open itunes. Any solutions?
The point is that there are four i product users for one computer in my house, and not everyone wants the same music on their device. Like I said before, the ipod is not syncing to the new library even though I plug it in when the new itunes library is pulled up. It keeps syncing to the old library...

I'm trying to up my new Ipod Nano, it appears in Windows and not in Itunes, if I reinstall Itunes, will files previously set up by other Ipod users sharing the computer be lost?

It also sounds like that computer is not authorized for the account. You can only have 5 computers authorized for one account. If yo go to iTunes>Store>View account and then sign in it will tell you how many (but no what computers) are authorized. There is no way to find out what computers are authorized.
You can deauthorize all computer once a year.

But I also have a lot of Blu Ray disks.
I am going to load windows 7 via Boot Camp for other reasns. After that is done, and even with an external Blu Ray player, is it still not possible to play Blu ray movies?

- If Safari is having problems, go to Settings>Safari and delete cookies, history and cache
- Also try the following one at a time:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost

this is just one video, but i've seen others where they use quadro and gtx together. he runs davinci resolve in video, but not premiere. there is an icon for premiere in the taskbar, so they probably do use it. with nvidia, its possible to go into the control panel and assign only one of the video cards to be used for cuda processing. if just need 10bit out, there are dedicated cards that are designed specifically for display only and shouldn't conflict with a gtx and premiere. some of these display out cards are cheaper than an old cheap quadro or firepro too. ADK has several different kinds, so they should be able to set it up. -

You need to check iCloud to see if they are actually there. Go to iCloud.com and sign in and then look at your Contacts there to see if the old ones are still showing on iCloud.
If they are not, then you can either re-enter them while you are on iCloud.com, or you can restore your device from the backup where you saved them:

In the photos app I have 2 camera rolls and 1 photo gallery. Each new photo that I take gets stored in one of the camera rolls, but when I back up the photos to my computer it only backs up the one camera roll, and not any of the new picks. In the one I backed up I have 500 plus photos and the other over 1000. I need to back up the 1000 one- camera roll. Any help would be sincerely appreciated. Help .... Please

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

hey all, I have been getting the "cannot get mail" error message on my iphone5 suddenly.
ive been using iphone to check two email accounts for months now, one is gmail and not troubled. the other is mail from thunderbird and i get this error message now saying it is not responding. no settings have been changed or anything, it just suddenly stopped receiving mail on my device as of Tuesday afternoon.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.

Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -
iPod is stuck in recovery mode, and not recognized by iTunes.
Tried all of the recommended resets and combinations mentioned, but the ipod is still not recognized. Genius at apple said it may be a hardware error, "The button is broke" but all of the buttons and cords work and i proved it to him. He then said he doesnt know, ma Now what?If it does not work on other computers then I agree with the Genius
