IPod reports 3.5 gig video loaded, but I a have no video synced to it (according to iTunes)

I have combed thru everything I have set to sync to my nano, and confirmed ther eis NO video being synced, yet the summary shows 3.5 gig of video is loaded on it. That's a lot of space I would like to reclaim.
Any ideas?

Make sure the Sync Videos option is not ticked from under your iPod's Movies tabs.  If you have to disable it, hit the Apply button in the lower left hand corner to update the changes to your iPod.
Otherwise, if nothing else, restore your iPod to factory settings and start from scratch.

    I have multiple Apple IDs. Is there a way for me to merge them into a single Apple ID?
    Apple IDs cannot be merged. You should use your preferred Apple ID from now on, but you can still access your purchased items such as music, movies, or software using your other Apple IDs.

    What is the Other on my iPhone and How to Remove It
    An "other" larger than abount 1 1/2 GB usually indicates that the "other" includes corrupted files.
    First try:
    "First you go settings/general/usage/music/then left swipe over music and press delete and you would think it deletes your music but it doesn't instead it deletes your other but make sure your ipod is connected to a computer while doing this"

  • How do I delete files on my iPod second gen?  This is a NEW problem I have only had with the latest version of iTunes.  I have not changed libraries.

    How do I delete files on my iPod second gen?  This is a NEW problem I have only had with the latest version of iTunes.  I have not changed libraries.  All files are grayed out.  I have already read related posts in the iTunes community.

    Thanks but I had already read this, and it was no help at all.  Under the Summary tab, "Options", there is no check-box to manually manage my stuff.  I suspect this is because it is a 2nd gen iPod, with ONLY manual management.  The only way to delete my stuff seems to be to reset the entire device.
    I like to listen to podcasts.  What is particularly frustrating is that the 4th gen shuffle CANNOT play podcasts, but ONLY music, which I discovered after a lot of research and multiple visits to an Apple store.  So I have to resort to an older version of the shuffle to play podcasts  And now with the latest version of iTunes there seems to be no way to delete any podcasts on the older version.  Apple just makes it harder and harder for us podcast-lovers, driving us away from Apple -- driving me away from the entire brand and from ALL Apple devices, not just iPod.

    Had my ipod for a year but now I cannot access my music.  ipod want me to create an account but I already did this a year ago.  Says my email address is already in use.  Any suggestions?

    You said "In order to enter ipod I had to create a new id. " Just why did you have to create a new ID? iTunes/App purchases a re locked to the account that purchased them.
    You also said "Says my email address is already in use." You can only have one account with one email address.
    I do not understand what you did or why you did it. What is current status of the iPod?

  • Loading an Australian application onto a phone sync'd to a Canadian iTunes

    I am a Canadian living in Australia. I have bank accounts in both Australia and Canada because I travel between these two countries frequently. I purchased my iPhone in australia and sync'd it to my itunes on my canadian computer so itunes treats my account as a canadian account.
    My bank in Australia (ANZ) recently released an iphone application. When I search in itunes, my canadian account cant find it because the application is apparently limited to Australian computers. When I choose "change country" in account settings and change my account to Australia, I can find the application but when I try to download it, it tells me to enter my itunes username and password and when I do, it says I can't download it from that account.
    Is there anything I can do? I don't want to sync my phone to an australian itunes account because then I would lose access to my Canadian bank application

    Is your phone jailbroken?  I haven't heard of anyone using iBoot in quite a while. There are several different things it can refer to. One is a hack to allow installation of OS X on a PC, another is a hack for the iPhone. Either way, I doubt you're going to be able to get support here.

  • Ipod 60 gig video sync error messege(-68)

    i just bought a 60 gig ipod video it doesnt sync all the time i get the error messege that says (-68) and then it begins to delete some songs off my ipod i dont know whats going on i purhcased it online so i cant return it also i have a mini and that syns fine im using the latest itunes(7.3)please help thanks

    Have you tried the basics?

  • New IPOD Nano will not sync.  iTunes recognizes it, I think.  It knows its there and says I can transfer purchases from it but it will not let me sync it to my existing itunes.

    I received a new IPOD nano for CHristmas.  Itunes shows it there on summary, it is showing with the eject symbol.
    However, when I go to file/sync, it allows me to transfer purchases but not sync it.  It also does not show up in my playlist like my older NANO does.
    I have reset, I have toggled security on and off.  I am current on the software on both my IPOD and ITunes.

    I was having the same problem...plugged in my new device and although I was able to set it up and it was recognized in iTunes, hit the sync button and nothing...even when it said it was syncing, still nothing. I am not sure this will work for you but I did two things that were suggested in this forum in combination with one another.
    First, I plugged my Nano into different USB port on my laptop from the one I was using. when I reconnected, my devie again was displayed in the top right corner. I clicked on it and the summary page appeared. The one thing I hadn't done is go to the "music" tab. When I arrived there I found that the "sync music" tab was unchecked for some reason. I checked the block and instantly the download started.
    As I said, I don't know if you have tried this or if it will even work for you but after an hour of frustration...I felt a little silly that it was something so simple I had negelected and thought I would share.
    Good  luck!

  • Hi, my name's Michael and I had a question about my iPod touch. I recently dropped it but I still have a warranty and Apple Support said they couldn't fix that my screen doesn't recognize my finger is on there trying to do anything?

    Hi, my iPod touch was recently dropped but afterwards I called Apple Support and they told me I have a 17 day warranty for my Apple iPod Touch, so then I asked them if I could send it in to get fixed but what had happened to my iPod was that when I click the home button and try to ''Slide to Unlock" it doesn't recognize that I'm trying to do anything else the only thing that I can do is press the "Sleep" and "Home" Buttons and nothing else. Anything you can do to help me please??

    Even if you were still under AppleCare warranty, it would not cover damage from a fall.
    That "17 day" warranty makes no sense, though. iPods have a 1-year free AppleCare warranty for service, and 90 days for free phone support:
    http://www.apple.com/support/products/ipod.html
    Apple can repair just about anything that might be wrong with your iPod, but it will cost you. Call, explain the problem, ask for a repair appointment at your nearest Apple Store (or get a case number and ask for instructions to mail it in for a repair), but get a firm quote on the repair cost before authorizing the repair (or mailing it in for repair).

  • SOLVED: kernel loads, but doesn't have a root file system

    Hi,
    The system is an Asus X202E. It does UEFI and has a GPT partition system. I've gotten through that part. And it is clear to me that the kernel loads.
    It's the next step that's giving me grief. I've tried this with two bootloaders: gummiboot and rEFInd.
    With gummiboot, the kernel panics because it can't mount the root file system. With rEFInd, it gets to the intial ramdisk and then drops me to a shell, apparently because the root file system is set to null, and it obviously can't mount that as "real root".
    Here is what I posted on the Arch mailing list, documenting that I have indeed specified the correct root (I'm copying this from the email, eliding the unfortunate line wraps):
    bridge-live# cat /boot/loader/entries/arch.conf
    Title Arch Linux
    linux /vmlinuz-linux
    initrc /initramfs-linux.img
    options root=PARTUUID=d5bb2ad1-9e7d-4c75-b9b6-04865dd77782
    bridge-live# ls -l /dev/disk/by-partuuid
    total 0
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Apr 15 19:26 0ab4d458-cd09-4bfb-a447-5f5fa66332e2 -> ../../sda6
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Apr 15 19:26 3e12caeb-1424-451c-898e-a4ff05eab48d -> ../../sda7
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Apr 15 19:26 432a977b-f26d-4e75-b9ee-bf610ee6f4a4 -> ../../sda3
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Apr 15 19:26 95a1d2c2-393a-4150-bbd2-d8e7179e7f8a -> ../../sda2
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Apr 15 19:26 a4b797d9-0868-4bd1-a92d-f244639039f5 -> ../../sda4
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Apr 15 19:26 d5bb2ad1-9e7d-4c75-b9b6-04865dd77782 -> ../../sda8
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Apr 15 19:26 ed04135b-bd79-4c7c-b3b5-b0f9c2fe6826 -> ../../sda1
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Apr 15 19:26 f64f82a7-8f2b-4748-88b1-7b0c61e71c70 -> ../../sda5
    The root partition is supposed to be /dev/sda8, that is:
    lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 10 Apr 15 19:26 d5bb2ad1-9e7d-4c75-b9b6-04865dd77782 -> ../../sda8
    So the correct PARTUUID followed by the one I have specified in
    arch.conf is:
    d5bb2ad1-9e7d-4c75-b9b6-04865dd77782
    d5bb2ad1-9e7d-4c75-b9b6-04865dd77782
    I'm guessing that this is really the same problem with both gummiboot and with rEFInd, but don't really know. It's clear to me that the initrd is not being correctly constructed. So I removed /etc/mkinitcpio.conf and did, as per the Arch wiki,
    pacman -Syyu mkinitcpio linux udev
    No joy.
    I don't even know which way to go at this point. If I even knew how to tell it where the real disk is in the initial ram disk shell, that would help. Better of course, would be actually solving the problem.
    Thanks!

    I have made extremely limited progress on this issue.
    My previous attempt to specify the root partition in mkinitcpio.conf was insufficient. Furthermore, this is no place--despite the documentation--for the orthodoxy about using UUIDs rather than the straight /dev/sdx. In my case:
    root=/dev/sda8
    and run
    mkinitcpio -p linux
    It still drops me into the shell at boot. I can do
    mount /dev/sda8 /new_root/
    and exit the shell. It still won't believe it has the root device and drops me back in. I just exit.
    At this point, for a very brief moment, things look promising. It appears to be starting normally. Then, gdm.service, NetworkManager.service, and dbus.service all fail to start. There may be others but the screen goes by too quickly. At this point, it hangs trying to initialize the pacman keyring and all I can do is CTRL-ALT-DEL.
    It occurred to me that this might extend to the rEFInd configuration and so I modified it to also use /dev/sda8 rather than the UUID, but this made no difference. Trying to boot via gummiboot still yields the previously specified kernel panic.

  • Can I find photos from an entire event that were just loaded but seem to have disappeared?

    Can I find photos from an entire event that seem to have disappeared?

    Larry,
    I have a Mac Book Pro  2.53 GHz  Mid 2009
    Using OS X lion 10.75
    I don't know what version of iphoto....just what was originally installed but I use an external storage drive for my photos and use time machine for back up.
    I loaded the photos Friday night- thought they went into an event, deleted photos from my camera (dumb, I know) then in the morning a grey box with event date shows palm tree and sunset image but no photos.

  • My "storage" says I have 48 gigs of audio, but I only have 33 gigs of music stored?

    Topic

    Because I took exactly 33 gigs off of my external hard drive and put into Itunes. Itunes also reads 33 gigs. But the "storage" section on "about my mac" is reading 48.

  • My iPod Touch storage is almost completely full, but I barely have anything on there! Why is this?

    So, when I tried to record a video, it said my storage was full and I couldn't. So, of course, I started deleting things to give myself more room to put things.
    However, I deleted all my apps except for four, more than half of my pictures I have erased, and I only have four songs in my playlist! However, even though I also deleted all my email messages and turned off the iCloud back up, my storage is still completely full!
    I don't get it, and it's kind of making me mad, so could somebody please tell me how to reclaim my storage?
    Thanks.
