Ipod restartting again and again and again
Its been only a week and a half since i just bought my 80 gb ipod classic, yesterday i was playing it at my ipod dock stereo, and suddendly it didnt recognize some songs, thing that hadnt happened before. So i had to restart it and suddently it started restarting again and AGAIN AND AGAIN and its been like that, I have tried all buttons but didnt do nothing, i connect it to the computer and didnt respond, it continued restarting. Anyone have a solution? im so frustated. Thanks a lot.
I have that exact same problem my friend... It got screwed up while playing in my Logitech PureFi Anywhere dock. Called Apple, sent it back and they sent me a new one. This new one worked for a while, then while i was listening to it through the speaker dock it randomly froze and skipped songs and is now in the restart loop again. I can't believe this - Apple could at least make a product that works!

IPod restarts when trying to listen to a podcast
I have been downloading the "This American Life" podcasts each week. It seems that each week when I download the latest episode, when I go to listen to it on the iPod as soon as I select it my iPod restarts. After removing and adding it back numerous times sometimes I am able to get it to play, but not always.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way around it?This is a known bug, Apple's working on it. For now, there are a couple workarounds. You can turn off the EQ on your iPod, start the podcast in itunes for a second or two, and then pause it and sync your iPod, or you can convert the podcast to a different file format (the hardest option). One of these should work for you.

Alright, so I downloaded iTunes 11 when it was released. I used it with no problems until last night, syncing it every night to update my playlists.
Well, last night I plugged in my iPod to let it sync and it seemed to be taking longer than usual. It was stuck on the "Connecting" screen. I went to go watch TV, ended up falling asleep, and got up a couple of hours later to shut down my computer and go to bed. My iPod had finished syncing, but I noticed that in iTunes it said something along the lines of "Welcome to your new iPod!" I thought that was strange since I've had it for a few years, but since I was tired, I just ignored it, shut down my computer, and went to bed.
In the morning, I picked up my iPod only to notice that it was completely wiped clean. No music, no videos, no photos: Nothing. The actual software seemed to be working fine, it was just empty. I turned on my computer again and plugged in my iPod to hopefully restore a few playlists before I had to endure the car-ride to work with no music. Since last night whenever I plug my iPod in, iTunes freezes. My iPod starts switching between "Connecting" and Connected" every couple of minutes, but since iTunes is frozen, it never goes anywhere. The weird thing is that when I unplug my iPod from my computer (not something I usually do), iTunes "unfreezes" and resumes normal working order. That part puzzles me. So far, I have tried restarting my iPod a few times and reinstalling iTunes and neither one has worked. I don't really know what to do, but I rely on my iPod quite a bit so this is a pretty big issue for me. Anybody out there have any ideas?
Oh, my my iPod is an 80 gig 5th Generation, if that makes any difference.I just fixed my own problem with this. Go into the Summary page of the ipod and look at Options. I unchecked the box that said Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 kbps AAC. It then started to work!

Extensions like Ghostery, WOT or AdBlock stop working after two or three times. Restarting the webpage in a new tab the extensions will work again for several times and then stop again. Has anybody an explanation or a workaround for this bug in Safari 5?
Remove the extensions, redownload Safari, reload the extensions.

And if you really want a better experience, use Firefox, tons more choices and possibilities there.
Firefox's "NoScript" will block the Trojan going around on websites. Best web security you can get.

my bluetooth says 'Not Available' how do i get it to work again. I have restarted the computer several times and have replaced the batteries in both the keyboard and mouse and yet it still is not working! please help
I have had the same problem. It was cured by turning computer off and/or restarting it. I am not sure if once was enough. I think shutting down must cut out whatever it is that blocks bluetooth. Good luck

I regret agreeing to download Firefox 3.6.10 update, as it is somehow corrupted, and will not load when I restart. Subsequently, every time I start Firefox, it warns "Update Ready to Install", then when I don't restart (if I restart, it won't load) it exits, and I have to start Firefox a second time. Then it works without the warning, but when I exit and start Firefox again, the warning returns and the cycle repeats. This is such a nuisance I have gone back (reluctantly) to Explorer. Is there anyway for me to get rid of this corrupted update and go back to before I downloaded the fateful update?

In Firefox 3.6 and later versions you need the Next-Generation Java™ Plug-In present in Java 6 U10 and later (Linux: libnpjp2.so; Windows: npjp2.dll).

somehow i couldn't get rid of one website called www.searchqu.com/405 set as my homepage... I tried all solutions given to change the homepage but whenever i restarted firefox that homepage used to come automatically.. So, I deleted the profile (even from recycle bin!!) and deleted the firefox and downloaded it again hoping to get my problems fixed (which didn't happen!) because i'm getting dialog box saying- Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system.
You don't say which operating system you have installed?
Assuming it's Windows, right click a blank part of the Windows Taskbar and go to Task Manager. Then click the ''Processes ''tab, find '''firefox.exe''' and then right click it and choose '''End Process'''. -
Ever since the latest update, my task bar (if it's called that - it's the one with "file, edit, view, etc") will "grey out" and I won't be able to type into any websites I visit. Only way I can proceed is if either restart Firefox (very annoying) or reduce the window and open it again. Please help!
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Ipod classic has been wiped saying 'no music'etc.
Cannot see it on the 'device list' in my itunes. I have tried restoring to factory settings and reloading...it reloads some of the music, but when I plug the Ipod back in, it wipes it again. Ocassionally Itunes freezes when I plug in the Ipod.Make sure your headphones are plugged in all the way, meaning you cannot see any of the silver still showing from the headphone's plug.
A feature of the Nano is to put it to sleep when the display goes out and it does not detect any headphones.

As I downloaded new software upgrade in my iPod nano 7 th gen and also new iTunes upgrade then all data on my iPod got erased and now when I am trying to sync it again then sync button is disabled on the windows screen . Kindly help
From the OP: "My old computer got a virus and when that happened all my music was lost. "
They don't have the music on their computer so they cannot transfer the iTunes folder, from the computer to their iPod and then to the new computer. And if they try to enable disk use on the iPod it will erase all the music that is on it. The method you cited is moving the files in a data format using the iPod as a flash drive. It doesn't work if they are in music format. That is why I suggested Yamipod. -

My ipod is disabled and says try again in 21,816,004 minutes
My ipod is saying it is disabled and to try again in 21,816,004 minutes. How can i fix it?
Connect the iPod to its syncing computer and restore via iTunes. If iTunes asks for the passose and oucan't enter the passcode, place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
for more info see:

IPod sync failed. Disconnect and reconnect, then try again.
Over the past month or two, I have gotten this message quite frequently with my iPod. It usually happens after I sync my iPod once, leave it hooked up to my iMac for charging, and then try to sync again (sometimes not even more than a few minutes later). I also often have trouble getting my computer to recognize the iPod (or getting my iPod to recognize that it's supposed to start syncing) without having to disconnect and reconnect it and shake the USB cord around a few times.
I had a little bit of this problem with my iPod 5G and XP PC, though no "iPod sync failed" messages ever. This is a new iPod classic and an iMac. What's going on?
Does anyone else have this happen to them?I'd been having this same issue and kept trying all the suggestions on the forums to no avail. Then I just disabled "Enable Disk Use", which required me to first disable "Manually manage music & videos". I unchecked all of my music, videos, podcasts and photos, applied the settings, then chose which media I wanted in my iPod. I synced successfully and even cleared it out completely a couple of times to re-sync. No issues anymore.
