iPod is disabled try again in 23,312,874 minutes how do I reset
The first thing you should try is restoring the iPod. (Find out how here)
If it doesn't allow you restore it, put the iPod in recovery mode (Find out how here) and then try restoring it again.

Forgotten Restrictions Passcode Help
iPad,iPod,iPod Touch Recovery Mode
You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

It will not turn off & it will not go into recovery mode. I had to completely delete & reinstall itunes just so it woulkd even show up there. Now it says "Can not connect enter correct passcode on ipod" Which of course I don't have that option. He did not enter the wrong passcode so we have no idea whats happened. I have tried everything I can find on here to fix it & still unable to. Any help would be greatly appreciated

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup).
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
You may have to force iPad into Recovery Mode

You'll need to connect the device to iTunes and restore it. If iTunes doesn't recognize the iPod still, try manually placing it in recovery mode first and then performing the restore in iTunes. See this article for instructions on putting the iPod into recovery mode.
