Ipod says very low charge but then doesnt charge

i have had my ipod for a while now, a 30gig video, and this is the first time it has played up. i was using it and i ran it all the way down to no abttery. then as usual i brought it home, plugged it into the computer and it comes up very low cgarge - wait a moment or what ever it says; fair enough. but its been that way for 3 days now. every now and then it goes to the apple screen, the black screen with the apple sign in the middle. has this happened to anyone and does anyone know how to fix it or whats wrong?

Have a look at these. They may help.
iPod battery doesn't charge.
iPod shows only an Apple logo and doesn't start up.
Only the Apple logo appears when turned on.
Sometimes if the battery gets completely discharged, simply connecting to a USB port on the computer doesn't supply enough power to "kick start" the charging process. In theory it should do, but yours seems to be a common problem.
Do you have access to a wall charger?

Yes. The battery appears to be shot and in need of a replacement. This can either be done by Apple or a third party repair company.

I dropped my ipod now it says "very low battery"!!

I dropped my old ipod from 2006 and now it says "very low battery" and "www.apple./support/ipod !!!
and also a picture of an weird looking iPod with X as eyes and sometimes sounds come out of the ipod.
Please I´m in desperate need of help!

Try going to Settings>Store and sign out and sign back in.
It also could be due to an Apple server problem. and yu will just have to wait and try again.

Yep, it does matter. You won't be able to update or get anything until this is fixed. Contact iTunes support to see what's wrong:

I keep getting "waiting for activation" on my iMessage. I can only send/receive iMessage from my email address, NOT my phone number.
I have done all kind of fixing suggestions that I can find online, but nothing works so far.
- Date & time set as automatic (I don't know why this matter, but mine was already set as automatic from the begining)
- Reset network setting
- Changing the DNS to 8.8.8.8.
- Restore to factory setting (from back up & as new iPhone)
- Turning on/off iMessage & facetime
- Sign out/in of apple ID
- Change location from apple ID
- Hard reset/reboot
And many others.

I had a similar problem and after deleting endlessly...and weeks of frustration I (without even realizing what I was on to) deleted my text messages. I had been letting them add up since it seemed easier to text someone if it were readily available. Needless to say, I ended up with nearly double the space/memory available.

Mail says it's downloading, but then nothing appears

I'm having an issue after the latest ios 7 update. My mail accounts won't sync or download messages. It says it's downloading, but then nothing appears. I've tried manually fetching and automatic push. It was working for about an hour this afternoon, but that's been it.

My problem is that I can download new mail, but not old email, so I can not manually clear the 6500 emails I have in my inbox for 1 account. I tried every trick on the forums to no avail.

Hard reset by holding down the home button and the sleep/wake lock button (BUtton on the bottom of your display, button you use to turn the screen black) hold them both down for 15 seconds till you see the apple reappear
