My iPod settings automatically reset to default after it turns on from sleep mode or being docked to the computer...I have also tried restarting the iPod...but nothing seems to work...any suggestions to fix this?

  • JMS Settings --- Automatically resets

In one of our client we are using JMS (Message Queue 4.3 Broker).
In JMS we have created one broker which has three request queues and three response queues/topics.
IN Request queues there are multiple paramteres that can be set using admin screen.
For Request queue i have set the following parameters as
    1. Max Number of Producers == Unlimited
    2. Limit Behaviour --- Remove_Oldest
    3. Use Dead Message Queue == Not checked
Whenever i restart the Message Queue 4.3 Broker(service) or server, the above mentioned values are reset as mentioned below,
    1. Max Number of Producers == 100
    2. Limit Behaviour --- Reject_Newest
    3. Use Dead Message Queue == checked
So whenever i restart whehter i have to reset the values that i want. Why it is resetting automattically, instead of persisting the old values.

Queues and topics are there. Only Properties are getting reset. Then I can't say what is going wrong there, given that this "works for me". Are you sure that these properties were getting correctly set on the broker before you restarted it? (There are various ways to query the value of these properties: I used the VisualVM plugin for MQ)

  • HT1695 i bought a used ipod touch and reset it to the factory settings via itunes and now i'm trying to set it up like new and it won't let me sign in with an apple id it says it can't connect to the server.  Other wireless devices are working HELP?!

I am trying to set up  my daughters ipod touch after resetting it to factory settings.  So I am trying to sign in using an apple id.  It says won't connect to the servier, but I have other wireless devices connected, so I know my wi fi is working. What now? Thanks

Return it and get a refund. Without the prior owner's Apple ID and password that device is useless. Find My iPhone Activation Lock- Removing a device from a previous owner’s account. You were screwed by the ignorance of the pawn shop owner.

  • What iPod settings should be checked to automatically sync

    Hello,
At iTunes what iPod settings should be checked to have iTunes automatically add the latest songs. I played around with them that I can't remember how they were before I messed with them. To be clearer - I mean where you can see that long status bar that tells you how full your iPod is and there are 4 boxes to checked or not checked.
    Thank you,
    Nick M.

    Thank you for your reply,
Yes, that's the section - what I want to know is which of the 4 boxes there should be checked in the Options section for normal operation?
    Right now I have checked:
Open iTunes when this iPod is attached
    Sync only checked songs
    (unchecked Manually manage music)
    Enable disk use
With these settings I have to now eject the iPod after syncing.
I know this isn't a major problem - still, it would be nice to solve it.
    Thank you,
    Nick M.

  • IPod 5th gen loses settings after reset

After a reset (menu & select buttons) my iPod video loses settings. Backlight timer, bass boost, shuffle mode, max volume, etc. all go back to default. Battery is fully charged. Is this normal?

I'm not sure exactly which settings are reset and which aren't, but I highly doubt that your iPod needs fixing on these matters.

Try doing a Spotlight search for the Contacts app.

  • IPod Stuck in an Automatic Reset

    Hi everyone,
I need some major help. Today, I connected my iPod photo to my iBook as I always do in order to update it with some new music I recently loaded into iTunes.
Everything was fine, but when I disconnected the iPod and tried to use it, it was stuck in some kind of weird automatic reset. I've reset the iPod about 20 times and performed a complete restore to no avail! The iPod continues to reset itself.
It will go through the reset and then make it to the menu, but will automatically reset again. I try to play music and scroll around to avoid the reset, but it happens no matter what I do.
Can anyone help? I'm wondering if this happened because of the new iTunes. I can't recall if I've synced my iPod with the newest version.
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Allison

Place the iPod in recovery mode and then restore via iTunes. For recovery mode:

  • Automatic reset on iPod Touch

Hey has anyone had their iPod Touch randomly reset and lose all their info? Is there a hard reset that can bring it back without the restore from iTunes? There was no back-up file created. Trying to assist a teenager from having her world end as she knows it. Any thoughts would be great! Thanks!

Not without a backup and restoring from that backup by using iTunes.
If the iPod does not show any data, there is no other way than a restore,
Apps and other media can be downloaded again for free, but app data and setting will be gone.
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • When connected to my 2014 Buick Enclave, the iPod touch automatically begins to repeat songs.

Hi - When connected to my 2014 Buick Enclave via USB, the repeat function on the iPod touch automatically engages and the songs repeat. I have to manually disengage the repeat function to finish an album, then do it again when the next album begins to repeat. There is no "repeat" button on the Enclave's system, only "shuffle", which works fine with the iPod. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

First I would go the the car system's support site.
    Next:
    - Reset the car system.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Ipod Classics automatically switches to repeat one song!

Hi, hoping someone can help. I have an issue with my ipod classic when connected to my car stereo, after a while of playing and especially after forwarding a few songs using the stereo controls the settings automatically switches to repeat one song, how do I solve this?

Please do a Hard Reset  as below
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the  next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs till the Apple Logo comes ON
    Then release the buttons
    Select your preferred language.

  • My ipod 120GB keeps resetting while playing, any hints?

my ipod 120GB keeps resetting while playing, any hints?

The problem is the "screen saver". Normally after some time the backlight of your ipod is switched off automatically and a clock appears. This doesn't work properly and leads to resets.
The solution: You have to go in the main menu to "settings/backlight and activate "Always on". After that your ipod should work properly. To avoid a very low battery runtime now, you have to adjust the brighness settings to a low value.
This also solves problems like radomly skipping songs or stopping playback.
I really would like apple to solve this problem, but i doubt this will ever happen.

  • IPod touch automatically added playlist

Has anyone ever experienced the iPod touch automatically adding or duplicating playlist, if so what would cause this

As far as I know, the touch will only reconnect to networks it has been connected to before - ie the ones you have told it to connect to. Having said that, a number of people are too lazy or unlearned to change the name of their network from default set by the manufacturer - like linksys. Open networks, default names, once you connect to one the touch might just connect to the others.
You can, in fact, forget these networks. When connected, tap Settings > WiFi > then the blue > next to the network name. Tap Forget this Network.
If you really want to get rid of all of these, probably a Restore as New would be your best bet. That will reset everything and the touch will not connect to a network unless you tell it to.

  • How can I make my iPod sync automatically?

When I first got my iPod I chose for it NOT to sync automatically but I should have. I have no idea how to get back to those settings but want to change it so it syncs on it's own. I've read a few topics here and noticed stuff about Summary tabs but the thing is, I have nothing like that on mine, I have no setting options whatsoever. I tried registering my iPod on here to see if that would do something but the thing is, it asked for payment details but I don't want to pay for anything. I don't use the iTunes store to download my music, I transfer it from another downloading software.
So, my question is - how do I make my iPod sync automatically and how do I find these 'settings' that everybody else appears to have?

how do I make my iPod sync automatically and how
do I find these 'settings' that everybody else
    appears to have?<<<
Connect your iPod to the computer. That will cause
    the settings panes to appear.</div>
No it doesn't. Instead I have a screen with a picture advertising 3 different iPods.
