IPod shows apple logo and nothing else
I managed to put it on disk mode, and iTunes actually "saw" it. I even uploaded some tracks, everything is ok supposedly but when I reset it, it shows the apple logo and won't do anything else after that. All you see is the logo.
That was the case even before I upload any of the tracks.

You need to put it back into disk mode, connect it to the computer, and restore it with the ipod updater. The ipods software is not installed correctly. Here is a link addressing your exact issue. I have an iPad 2nd generation and all it does is show the apple logo continuously and nothing else. I cannot get into the iPad and I have tried to restore it numerous times but it comes up with error 19 or error 14. Or it restores but after it has it just comes back up with the apple logo once again and nothing changes or it flashes a few times. does anyone know how to fix this?
Cheers MegYou need to put your iPad into Recovery Mode. Follow the instructions in this Apple support document very carefully. It might take several attempts to get it to work.

My new iPad mini would not download an update bnor allow access to app store downloads etc, I decided to revert to original factory settings, the screen is now frozen, showing only the Apple logo in white on a black background, it is now frozen, what can I do?

I picked up my iPhone 4 today and was preparing to pass on my 3G to my wife. I had recently upgraded to iOS4 on it so thought that the best option to clear all my stuff off was to select the option to clear my data rather than reset it. This was going fine with the Apple and a progress bar on the screen. But just before it reached the end, the phone reset and the Apple appeared on it's own and just stayed there. I left the phone for over 10 minutes and then it flashed and went blank. The power button brought back the Apple on screen again but still nothing else. I can soft reset it using the 'Power' and 'Home' button together, but it still just ends up going back to the Apple.
Is there any way, like a different key combination or something, to restore the phone to it's factory state?

Yes and no. Just because you're convinced email isn't designed for large email attachments doesn't mean people abide by it. It happen to receive emails with large attachments at least twice a day (not on my Iphone luckily). Granted I don't like it either, but reality is people still do it. All I'm expecting from apple is to make sure that it's email client can handle deleting such an email so I don't have to wipe the iphone and re-install everything. Expecting it to be able would indeed be a tad optimistic. -
i have ipod 2nd generation 32 gb and i had reset > Erase All Content and Settings it is longer than 3 hrs it is still showing apple logo and blink like if it will restart but again it shows the same logo!! is it all right with the erasing...??? i am confused!!
For a 1G and 2G it can take hours. Make sure it is connected to a charging source otherwise the battery can fully drain before it is done. If still problem

Same here. I tried to update my iPhone 5S and iPad 4 to 7.1 but iTunes wiped out them. This thing already happened for iOS 7.0.6 update. What happened to Apple? I am really curious whether Apple is aware of this problem.

I disconnected my iPad unconsciously while it was updating ios 7.0.4 and it just stuck on that screen showing apple logo and a loading bar that just won't move on what to do now ????
It's not uncommon for it to not work the first time and sometimes, you have to try it a few times. Turn off your antivirus software and your firewall while you are trying to restore the iPad. Enable them again after you restore.
If that still won't work, post back with detailed information as to what exactly does happen as you go through the process. -

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter "BOOT_TIME" (without the quotes) in the search box. Note the timestamps of those log messages, which refer to the times when the system was booted. Now clear the search box and scroll back in the log to the last boot time when you had the problem. Post the messages logged before the boot, while the system was unresponsive or was failing to shut down. Please include the BOOT_TIME message at the end of the log extract.
Post the log text, please, not a screenshot. If there are runs of repeated messages, post only one example of each. Don’t post many repetitions of the same message. When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into a message.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.

Still in Console, look under System Diagnostic Reports for crash or panic logs, and post the entire contents of the most recent one, if any. In the interest of privacy, I suggest you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful.
