Ipod shows usb arrow to itunes ,will not resound ,and will not restore give error1604
I have been trying to restore a Ipod I purchased used and during the first attempt the computer went into hibernation before it had finished and now the Ipod is locked up and I can not get it to complete the restore. the code I keep receiving is 1604. I have troubleshooted this code and it says that there is a issue with the usb cable or port, this is not the issue because I have tried 2 differen computers and 2 different cables. Also when I plug into charge the ipod it will not show the charge icon will only show the usb arrow to itunes.
If you tried everything here:
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the white Apple USB dock connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.
If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode, put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for error 1604.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while iPhone remains connected.
iPhone should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.
Try to restore again.
If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Whenever I update from Windows 7 get error 1602, iPod shows USB connection to iTunes, but iTunes will not recognize the device. None of the Apple documentation helps. The Apple Mobile Device driver is loaded and operating. The anti-virus software and firewall are not at fault (were uninstalled, and made no difference). I synced my ipod to my computer and all my music disappeared. I tryed resyncing it and it would only sync my apps and not my music. I cant add music to my ipod. I something wrong with the USB port in the IPOD, the USB Cord, or ITUNES itself. Itunes still shows that all my music is there on my ipod. Itunes is recognizing that my ipod is connected, but it doesnt recognize that theres no music on my ipod anymore. Im so sad. Someone please help me. I miss my music.
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases.
The ipod is not a storage/backup device. It simply mirrors the selected content of your computer.
As the music came from your computer in the first place, it should still be there and in your backup copy of your computer. -
My iPod shuffle ( 1st or 2nd generation) will not recharge and does not show when the doc is connected to my MacBook Pro. I'm running the latest updated version of iTunes.

my ipod nano4th gen will not download the purchased songs in itunes v11. Just upgraded to mac 10.6.8-won't synch new songs since this upgrade. The ipod is seen in the itunes as the devise, and the nano screens says synching when plugged into the macmini usb port, but the itunes window does not say it is synching like it has before so whats the culprit? Techno virgin in distress!
PS - I added an iphone5 which is whay these upgrades happened so this synching to the ipod error is since the iphone began synching.I just learn in some post that the most common lapses in syncing is not checking if "sync music" in music section of the ipod is ticked. So double check if it is. Cheers!

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

my ipad screen is black and will not reset and does not come back after restoring, the info is still on internal because i can see it on itunes in the apps catagory it's the display is not working, can see backlight but black...does anyone know how to fix, other than take it to apple.
thanks!The wish list only works on apps you have to pay for. To get it tap the icon of the app you want to save. After it opens at the upper right corner is a box with a arrow. Tap that then tap add to wish list list in the box that opens.

iPhone 3G plugged into PC(Windows 7) 'USB is Not Recognized' and unable to restore; stuck on 'Connect to iTunes'
I was in the process of putting another firmware for my iPhone(an .ipsw via. itunes) and the house had a power cut. The computer was in the middle of restoring the iPhone but never finished. The apple logo came on and then came onto the 'connect to itunes' screen. My sim card was in but there is no option to slide for emergency. When I Plug it into my computer, a message pops up saying that the 'USB Device Not Recognized', I've tried to plugging my iPhone into my laptop and other Computers but the same message occurs (all windows 7). Other articles say that the error is with the iPhone, I need help!! Can anybody offer some advice on what to do?

Had to have my hard drive rebuilt in my PC (not a Mac). When I reinstalled my music library from itunes, some of the songs did not properly download. They appear in light colored ink, but will not play and will not synch with my iPod. How can I get all of my songs back?
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

After trying to download ios 7, iPad will not charge, will not open and will not connect to itunes. Sometimes, screen will switch from Apple logo to low battery notification, but doesn't look as if battery is charging.
Connect with cable to computer. Your ipad is in recovery mode.

Just Upgraded my IPOD 5 to iOS 7.0.2 and it will not charge the battery anymore.
When I plug it in, it now gives the message "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this IPOD".
Anyone else have this issue after they upgraded the iOS system?

- Try another charging source
