Ipod Shuffle say's its half full when there are only 11 song's on it.help..
Ok i hav a 512mb ipod shuffle i was putting song's on for a friend then i quickly did my ipod after (same thing 512mb shuffle) what happen when i put my friend's in it came up with all my song's an after wen i removed all my songs it said his ipod was half full sumthing like 256mb already used but i no this isent right..so please help me sum1

Are the songs you put on your firend's shuffle the same as the ones you tried to put on yours?
If not, then maybe you need to check the file format of the songs you tried to put on yours. If for some reason they are WAV files, this is your problem because WAV files are massive (~20-50MB each!)
If you find that they are WAV files, I'm sure you can google or ask someone with more knowledge than me how you can convert them back to mp3's.
If your WAV file songs were imported, you can just delete them and re-import them again but IMPORTANT:
Click edit>preferences>advanced>importing> and make sure the box next to 'import using' is NOT WAV encoder, but either mp3 or ACC.

Did you get the flash drive from a reliable source. There are some available on the net that show a large capacity but are only 512 mb. or 1 gb. drives that have been altered to display a much larger capacity.

I continue to receieve an error message when using Final Cut Server "Sorry, the current license only allows 10 simultaneous client logins" and there are only 9 machines connected to this server, 8 iMac's and 1 Mac Pro. They are all running 10.6.8 are Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 GB Ram, FCS 1.1.1 (1C36, 1.3.36). The server is 10.5.8 Dual 2.7 GHz PowerPC G5, 7GB Ram.
The temporary solution was to have some clients log out of Final Cut Server but this should not be necessary if we only have 9 computers logged in. Any help from anyone on this problem would be much appreciated. I have scoured the forums and have not had any luck.Do you have the Microsoft UAM module installed? That was causing a similar problem for us with 10.3.9.

My ipod 1G says it is Full, but there are no songs on it
Ok i have tried, reseting, reloading sonds, deleting and then reloading songs
Now my iPod is saying that it can't hold anymore songs, but when i go to my iPod settings" then to "about" it says:

Available: 128 MB

How can i have 128 MB available and have no songs or photos (note: I do not load or use the photo's)

Have had problems since downloading iTunes 10. First it moved all my iTunes music files to another location. Next, I lost all my songs on my iPod. I went to replace the music to the iPod that I'd lost, but it only allows me to add about 20 songs (on a 4gb Nano) then says disk is full. In the Summary on the iPod, "other" is taking up all the remaining space. I have no videos, pictures, or anything else on the iPod. How do I free up that "used" space? Please help? And Thanks!

LR 4.3 says drive is too full when there is 468GB remaining
I just started working with LR, importing photographs from my Nikon D800 folders and storing them on an External USB 3.0 WD 3TB drive (I drive).
I'm using LR4.3 Dell Optiplex 990 Intel Core i7-2600 CPU W 3.4GHz 16.0GB RAM Windows 7 Ultimate SP1, Storage 2TB Hitachi (E drive), 468GB available...
I've told LR to use drive I and I confirm in both LR and in Windows Explorer that that is what it is doing.
When importing, why does LR4.3 continuously tell me I have to delete files on my 'E' drive to "make room" the drive before LR can continue? The importing is being done to the I drive.

Batcave2Hello Jim – thanks for your note. In response to your questions:
1. No, I’m not using the “make second copy” option
2. When I began using LR 4.3 the first catalogue was created on the E drive, which is resident in the Dell desktop. It was the original catalogue I used when first working with LR 2.0 etc. The OS and User files are on the C drive which is a 256GB SSD. For space reasons I recently moved all LR activity to the external USB 3TB drive and that is where the catalogues are now.
What you say regarding the E drive, which has 468GB remaining, makes academic sense concerning “20% space remaining”. What is slightly confusing is, LR constantly asked that I delete “20MB” to satisfy the Program’s needs for space. I think you’d agree that such a message doesn’t make sense in this day of huge TB drives when we’re talking factors of just over 10 in terms of space availability and Program requirements. All the same, I’ve “removed” the E drive and the catalogues from LRs “Folders” section and have only the external I drive doing the work with the catalogues. I will let you know if the message re-appears. I don’t expect it to for the reasons you’ve given but we’ll see. I hope this info helps.

do anythingTo update apps you have to sign nto the account that purchased the apps. If the iPod has apps frm more than one accont that need updating you have to update them one by one until the remaining were purchased from one account.

Ipod has very little space despite the fact there are only 647 songs
I have a 6GB iPod mini with 647 songs. My file shows that almost all of my memory is gone. I recently used the hard drive function to move my iTunes from one computer to another. Would this effect how much memory I have on my iPod? If so, how can I remove this extra stuff (the stuff tranfered through the hard drive option)?

I use iTunes exclusively. Before I moved the files from one computer to another, there was plenty of room. Now there is not. I assume this has something to do with storing the files on the iPod as a harddrive. -

If your iPod shuffle is locked and can't sync, there are a few methods you can try to get access to it. See this article for help:

Unlocking iPod
You can unlock iPod in one of two ways:
Enter the combination on iPod using the same controls you used to set the combination. If you do not enter the correct combination, the digits onscreen flash red. When you enter the combination correctly, iPod will unlock and return you to the last viewed screen.
Connect iPod to the primary computer you use it with (the first one iPod synced with), and open iTunes. When you disconnect iPod from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you can't unlock iPod using either of these methods, you can restore your iPod to factory settings. Please note that this will erase all data on your iPod. Afterwards, you can add your music and data back to iPod.If you want to change the primary computer that your iPod is associated with, do this:
Restore your iPod. Warning: The restore process cannot be undone. All of your songs and files will be deleted. Always make a backup of your important data.
Connect your iPod to the computer that you want to be the primary computer.
Open iTunes and synchronize.

I am combining 2 related records of legacy data together that make up a marriage record. I am doing this in APEX using a before header process using the following code below which works well when there are only 2 related records which joins the bride and groom record together on screen in apex. I have appended a field called principle which is set to 'Y' for the groom and 'N' for the bride to this legacy data
However there are lots of records where in some instances there are 3, 4 , 5, 6 or even 1 record which causes the PL/SQL in APEX to not return the correct data. The difference in these related columns is that the name of the bride or groom could be different but it is the same person, its just that from the old system if a person had another name or was formally known as they would create another duplicate record for the marriage with the different name, but the book and entry number is the same as this is unique for each couple who get married.
How can I adapt the script below so that if there are more than 2 records that match the entry and book values then it will display a message or is there a better possible work around? Cleaning the data would be not an option as there are thousands of rows of where these occurrences occur

The data is from an old legacy flat file database that has been exported into a relational database.
It should have been normalized at the time it was imported.

I am trying to restore my phone, but when i go to do it on iTunes, it Updates to 4.3.3 however everytime the 2 and a half hour update finishes, it FAILS. So the update fails, and the restore fails. Its happened 4 ties.

Cannot boot my MacBook Pro. Tryed CMD+R, reinstall OS, error message :damaged HD. When trying to repait it says it's OK. Yesterday HD wasn't even half full when I turned it off, now it says it's full.
What may have happened is an error and a kernel panic, filling up the logfiles.
What I recommend is first to find a way to backup your data without booting the hard drive directly if it isn't already backed up, and then get Alsoft Disk Warrior to repair the hard drive. You'll probably want an external drive from http://www.macsales.com/
And you'll want to go into Hard drive -> Library -> Logs, System -> Library -> Logs, and Users -> yourname -> Library -> Logs to remove whatever you find there.
If after booting it fills up again, start by removing all startup items in your System Preferences for your user, and rebooting in safe mode with the shift key held down. If the hard drive is over 85% full after removing the logfiles, you may want to look at what were the last applications you installed.
Peer2peer software if installed can be as bad as a virus, because it enables others to access your computer. Insecure wireless networks are just as bad, if they are WEP or no encryption and someone is within 1500 feet of your computer.
If no such software is installed, your RAM probably has failed. Run the hardware test that came with your computer, by booting with the 'D' key.
If nothing shows up there, it can still be the RAM. Especially if you've seen any 4 language screens telling you to restart.
