IPod Shuffle Sports Case Cable Adapter??????

Does anyone know where I can get an iPod Shuffle Sports Case Cable Adapter?
I purchased a Sports Case but it did not come with an adapter. I talked with Apple Support for an hour one day and they said they never heard of such a thing. I told them that it is on the Apple Forum and they still said it does not exist.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful!!
Thanks!

The adapter is to use non Apple headphones with the case.
The hole in the case is made to fit the Apple headphones, which have a very small covering over the plug.

"This is a great product. I'm an ironworker and wanted to keep my shuffle white, so i bought this the day my shuffle arrived . My shuffle still looks brand new . Unfortunatly if you want to use headphones other than the apple ones, you have to use an adapter that comes with the package and it makes the cord extra long"

  • IPod shuffle 3G USB cable for 2G shuffle

Does anyone know why you can't use the iPod shuffle 3G USB cable to connect an iPod shuffle 2G to a Mac? The jack plug that plugs into the shuffles looks the same in both cases.

Although the plug looks the same, the "rings" have different meaning...

  • IPod shuffle and A1205 W005B050 adapter

Can i charge my iPod shuffle via A1205 W005B050 adapter? (I don't know is it 12W or 10W) Thanks!

IF you download the latest Ipod updater and use it to install the latest firmware (1.1) on to the shuffle the charging indicator lights will be fixed. Ipod updater can be found at http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/

  • Ipod shuffle with integrated cable?!?

My son came home from school with what to all appearances is a 2nd gen ipod shuffle (bought from a friend that upgraded to the standard ipod).
The only problem is that this shuffle has a 36"cable coming out of the side opposite the headphone jack. I can find no information about a 2nd gen shuffle with a cable. The shuffle is white plastic and 1"x3/4" with the proper controls on the face and the integrated clip. the edges are also rounded looking at it from the front unlike what I am seeing online. It has the model number a1187 on the back (hard to see with the clip, but it's there.
Is this a knock-off, an early prototype, or what? If it is a genuine apple what kind of adapter do we need to connect it to USB?

    It's a knockoff...

  • What headphones work with the sports case WITHOUT adapter?

The only set I'am aware of are the standart apple earbud headphones. I got the sports case and I don't want to use the headphone adapter. To me,it seems sort of...messy. Anybody know where I can buy the ORIGINAL apple earbud headphones that came with my shuffle? That's first priority. Or anyone know a set that can play without the adapter? thank you so much everyone.

Not sure about the "sports case" you are referring to, but you can buy the original Apple earbud headphones online at the Apple site, or at any authorized Apple dealer.

  • Exploit? - My iPod Shuffle 4G USB cable has IC's in its Type-A plug end

I purchased a cable for a Shuffle 4G and as a result of the cover from its Type-A USB connector-end coming loose I noticed some unexpected and potentially alarming chips installed on a PCB concealed within the connector cover.
This may be quite normal but to allay any fears I would like to know if the iPod Shuffle 4G's sync cable is 'active' - that is it understood that it will contain some electronics.
I want to assure myself that this cable isn't a USB Exploit device.

It's probably legitimate.  I've taken apart the little "dock" for the 2nd generation Shuffle, and it contains a circuit board with a dozen or so components.  They appear to be mostly passive (resistors and capacitors), not ICs, so it may not be "active" in the usual electronics sense of the word, but it clearly isn't just a plug and some wire.  Thus, I would not be surprised to find electronics in the 4th generation USB cable.
Think about what the cable has to do.  One end presents a standard USB "A" plug interface, with standard power and data in/out impedances and voltage levels.  The other end plugs into a jack on the Shuffle that is a headphone output most of the time, and which might actually be playing audio at the time the USB cable is plugged in.  So a certain amount of electrical isolation between the two interfaces is a good idea.

  • First generation shuffle headphone adaptor cable

Blimey, this must be the most difficult forum to post a question on. I had to read 'how to ask a question' several times first, and i'm still not sure how I got here!
Anyway, all I want to know is how I can get hold of a headphone adaptor cable for my first generation shuffle to use with the shuffle sports case. I bought my sports case second hand with no cable.
The cable enables you to use other headphone connectors with the sports case, ie; car kit, other make of headphones etc
I am in London but the Apple store here apparently does not sell them and were quite unhelpful.
    All help gratefully recieved!
    Thank you.

Are you looking for an EXTENSION cable? The Shuffle's headphone jack is a standard 3.5mm stereo jack...ANY standard 3.5mm stereo (mini)plug works in it.

  • Speakers and iPod Shuffle

Can the iPod Shuffle 4th generation be used with a Bluetooth speaker?  I've probably made a mistake ordering this because I need it to work with a speaker on my bike.  I would be willing to connect it with a cable, but I'd need an adapter, and I don't know if the speaker would respond. It's an Ivation Boomer for portable use outdoors.

    Hi pbnana,
Thanks for the question. The iPod shuffle (4th generation) does not include bluetooth connectivity:

However, if your speaker does have a 3.5-mm input, you can use a variety of cables to connect it for playback. Here are a few offerings we have on our online store:

  • Is there any type of HiFi Station available for the 2nd Gen. iPod shuffle?

I was wondering if there is any type of HiFi Station available for the 2nd Gen. iPod shuffle.
With HiFi Station I mean those docking stations which directly play the music from your iPod, so that you don´t need to connect to your Computer f.e.
Does anybody know if something like this exist, or if it is only available for ALL other iPod models???
    Thanks already!
    Stefan

YOu can use one of these with any other iPod "HiFi Station": http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/dockshuffle/
Use your 2nd generation iPod shuffle in full-size Universal Dock devices.
Your iPod shuffle is an incredible entertainment value in an incredibly small package. It delivers the music just like its full-size iPod cousins. But one thing it doesn't do is fit in the dock well in your made-for-iPod speaker system.
That's why we made a Dock Adapter especially for 2nd generation iPod shuffle. The Dock Adapter is shaped just like the dock connector on the bottom of every full-size iPod. Plug it into your iPod shuffle's headphone jack, and suddenly the little guy fits in your iPod speakers just like the big guys.
Take Griffin Dock Adapter with you, and you can play your iPod shuffle wherever there's a set of Universal Dock speakers.

  • Can I plug latest iPod Shuffle into car auxiliary?  (link included)

Can someone tell me if the latest iPod Shuffle use this cable/plug to connect to truck's stereo?
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC003ZM/A/apple-ipod-shuffle-usb-cable?mco=NDI 3MzgwMQ#overview
I have a regular auxiliary cable that I use for my iPad to connect to the stereo in my truck, but it has 2 male ends.
I haven't seen the new iPod Shuffles up close, and am not sure if the cable in the above link will work. Called Apple, and they weren't sure, either.
    Thanks.

I'm not so sure it will work: have you seen the newest iPod shuffles? I haven't seen them in person, only via Apple.Com . Those little shuffles are small. When I look at the cable that I use with the iPad, it looks wider than the Shuffle! I appreciate your time, though.
I really need to hear from someone who actually HAS one....and uses an aux. ... or someone who can tell me definitively, if it will work or not.

  • HT1477 Good evening.  What kind of an adapter do I require to plug my ipod shuffle into the Aux In plug to connect to my car radio??  Thank you.

Good evening,  What kind of an adapter do I require to plug my ipod shuffle into aux 1 outlet in my car to go through radio???

It's not really an "adapter."  It's a cable with a mini-stereo plug at both ends.  Here's an example
    http://www.amazon.com/Monster-iCable-Player-Auxiliary-Input/dp/B002AR5XIK
Connect it from the shuffle's headphones jack to the auxilliary audio input on car audio system.  You called it an "aux 1 outlet," but it's really an audio INPUT, correct?  DO NOT connect it there, if that is an audio OUTPUT.  It needs to be an audio INPUT.

  • What's a good case to protect the iPod shuffle, 4th generation?

Where can I buy a good case to protect my iPod Shuffle 4th Generation ?

I'm not aware of any such adapters. I know you always purchase an audio/line in cable if the dock has such a port available.  Those cables are pretty cheap.

  • ITunes 11 freezing while transfering music, and can't eject it, so I need to disconnect the cable, then iTunes works just fine and my iPod Shuffle is in restoring mode. I've been having this issue for weeks, and never had it before with iTunes 10.

iTunes 11 freezes and can't eject my iPod, so I need to disconnect the cable, then iTunes works just fine and my iPod Shuffle is in restoring mode. I've been having this issue for weeks, and never had it before with iTunes 10. Please tell me at least a way to eject it without losing all my data and being forced to format/restore the iPod.    I've got 2GB iPod Shuffle 2nd generation(:D)

As a test, shut down (power off) your computer and disconnect all USB devices including hub (except for standard keyboard and mouse if normally used).  If your computer is a laptop, connect its power adapter (so that it's not running on battery power).  Do this to reset the shuffle
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1655
Start up the computer, run iTunes, and connect the shuffle to a direct USB port on the computer.  Does this problem recur when the shuffle is the only USB device?
If it does (as another test), select the shuffle in iTunes, so that its Settings screen is showing.  Check the box for Enable disk use, and Apply.  Does that make any difference regarding this problem?

  • Adapter from Car to ipod shuffle

Do you know of an adapter that will allow the iPod shuffle to be used in a BMW,328? There is an flat looking adapter coming out of the audio part (similiar in size to the iPhone) that looks like it is supposed to input right into a Ipod unit. But... the shuffle has the little mini jack. I have an USB adapter. Is there one that will fit into the car adapter?

Probably the cable on your car stereo is for the dock connector found on normal (full sized) iPods. To the best of my knowledge, there are no adapters to go from the headphone jack data connection of the shuffle to a full dock connector.
Does your car stereo have an AUX input that uses a headphone sized jack? If so, you can always play the Shuffle through that with a 1/8" stereo to 1/8" stereo patch cord, but you would still have to control the iPod on the iPod itself and it won't charge either. But should play fine.
