Ipod software update taking too much?
My cousin ipod is locked and now im trying to restore it ,
When i click restore it shows "downloading 1 item - ipod software update (82 hours)
Why does it takes too much ?
i cant wait i need to give her the ipod today
trying to restore and update from ios 5.0.1 to 6.1.2

Software update taking too long!
Hi,
I recently got myself a Macbook Pro 13" newer version (late 2011 model) running Mac OS X Lion.
Today I got a system update notification for safari, and it asked me to restart the Macbook for system update.
Its been 15 minutes since that update is installing, and after reboot the Macbook is just stuck on "installing 1 item - Running package scripts" in Software Update window.
Mouse is working fine though. Nothing seems frozen - even the progress bar is showing some animation, but it just isnt going ahead!
Any ideas for a Mac noobie?
Much Thanks!Those CD's that come with the BT HomeHub are a waste of time, they are full of rubbish that you dont need and waste space on the pc. My Hub has been running happily since day one without the software- the settings are changed here http://bthomehub.home the passwords etc are on the back of the Hub and wireless settings card.

To get the hub going then you need a pin, push the reset to defaults on the side for about 10 seconds and release, wait for the Hub to boot then it will work as normal.
If your connecting wirelessly then you need the wireless settings card this will tell you what your SSID name is and your passcode- open the wireless networks on your laptop and select device enter passcode- Done!

I have 2 tables
clean_d(d_name,d_code) <D_CODE COLUMN IS BLANK>
dict_d(d_name,dr_code).. d_name is primary key for dict_d table.
I have to join the tables on d_name field and update d_code column in clean_d with corresponding dr_code from dict_d.
the following query is been running for last 1 hr..

because everyone is doing the same thing you are... be patient, and you will get the update... I had to grab the update over 3G (it won't let you download or install, but it got me in the door) and then switch back to wifi and download and install.

Though we have a SEV-1 SR with oracle we have not been able to find much success.
We have an auto invoice program which runs many times in the day and its taking too much time since the begining . On troubleshooting we have found one query to be taking too much of the time and seek suggestion on how to tune it. I am attaching the explain plan for the for same. Its an update query. I've noticed under my Activity Monitor that Karnel_Task is taking too much "real memory".
Also, I just bought a new battery because the original that came with my computer was dying too fast.
Well, this new one lasts just a little longer. I believe that is something else that is eating up the battery.

Also, I just bought a new battery because the original that came with my computer was dying too fast.
Well, this new one lasts just a little longer. I believe that is something else that is eating up the battery.

Sites Taking too much time to open and shows error
hi,
i've setup sharepoint 2013 environement correctly and created a site collection everything was working fine but suddenly now when i am trying to open that site collection or central admin site it's taking too much time to open a page but most of the time
does not open any page or central admin site and shows following error
event i go to logs folder under 15 hive but nothing useful found please tell me why it takes about 10-12 minutes to open a site or any page and then shows above shown error.This usually happens if you are low on hardware requirements. Check whether your machine confirms with the required software and hardware requirements.

Hi, from the last two days my iphone( iphone 4 with ios 5) have very slow to open the apps and very slow when i check the notification window , it taking too much time to open when i tap to down . help me to resolve the issue.

My daughter forgot her passcode. Her iPod Touch 4gen is disabled. I've tried everything I've read online. I get to the "Restore" part on iTunes and then I get the message, "The iPod Software update server could not be contacted. Make sure your network connections are correct and your network connection is active or try again later." How can this be so hard to do? Why isn't there a simpler solution. I live 2 hours from the nearest Apple store. Any advice you may offer would be very much appreciated.

Cannot connect to ipod software update server
I have been battling for weeks to get my daughters iPod updated to iOS 5. I keep getting an error message when I try to upgrade "iTunes could not contact the iPod software update server because you are not connected to the Internet." The internet and iTunes are working and I updated my iPhone from the same PC with no issues.
I am running Win 7 x64
I have worked through all the solutions have found on the forums including:
1) Ensure that the local area connection is set toautomatically discover settings
2) flush the DNS cache
3) Change the "Windows live family safety settings for her account to unrestricted"
4) Removee "Windows live family safety" from the PC
5) Change her account to an admin account
6) Temporarily disabled AVG
7) Remove the content of the hosts file
8) Running iTunes as an administrator explicitly
9) Temporarily disabled the windows firewall.
There have been many reboots in this sequence.
iTunes diagnostics gives the following (while running iTunes as administratir, with AVG disabled and the windows firewall disabled, and her account as administrator) - The thing that looks wrong to me is that there appears to be no active connection identified, trouble is the network is working so what is going on? Any help gratefully recieved.

Load is taking too much time & going to short dump.
Hi,
We have around 1000 records to be loaded from r/3 . The load is taking too much time and it is still running.
When tried to manually update the records ,we are getting an error ' converting the rate into indirect quote: CAD/USD( ex. rate type EURX). Did any one faced this type of error.

what are you trying to do? If you wanna load exchange rates this can be done via context menu of the appropriate source system ( transfer global settings/exchange rates) -
Procedure Taking too Much Time
Hi Guys,
I have package which contains number of function and procedure which is link with Oracle 's standard report called Prodction Shortage Report , it is taking too much time and even now days it is not finsih after three days.
So I am looking for some tuning steps which I can follow for all the queries one by one, I tried touse Explain Plan what it is showing not too much difference after movement of column from one location to another etc , even I have updated the existing indexes and also created new indexes.

Is this report part of an Oracle product such as the Enterprise Business Suite (EBS)? If so, I recommend you create a Service Request (SR) with Oracle and have them tune the report. Doing your own tuning could cause you some support problems later on.

ODS to CUBE load taking too much time..
Hi all ,
we are loading the data from our ZODS to ZCUBE, but the data load is taking too much time , we haven't created any indexes , we alsotried by making infosource for the ODS but still tha same problem .. It is always showing 0 from 345674 records that is the records are not getting extracted from ODS .
Can anybody help me in this regards , it is a bit urgent ..

there are a few you can check. First you should check if this job hasn't ended in a dump with ST22.
The next thing you can do, if the job doesn't end abnormaly, is to reduce the amount of records processed at the same time. Sometimes the system has trouble if the amount of records that it has to process is too large. Go to the InfoPackage -> DataS. Default Data Transfer -> Fill the maximum to 10% of de the default value. Try to run the load again.
If the job still doesn't finish then you have to check wether or not there are any ABAP routines and/or formula involved in the update rule ? Maybe they running in a loop.

KhanThe import is in post processing. It digs through all the documents and adapts them to the new client. Most of the tables in the application area have a "MANDT" (= client) field which needs to be changed. Depending of the size of the client this can take a huge amount of time.
You can try to improve the speed by updating the table statistics for table D010INC.
