IPod Song skips to end, freezes for a time, then plays next song

Name pretty much explains everything
certain songs on my iPod (so far, all by 1 band), will play the beginning, then when the song is about 20% done, it will skip to the last 2 seconds of the song and just stop for a while (i think it stops at 2 seconds for the same length that it skipped), then it will play the next song and it repeats
ive tried restoring my iPod, but it didnt work
any ideas?

So what changed on your computer or iPod since it played correctly?
Can you right click on one of the songs in iTunes, select Get Info, and copy the results and paste them here?

Update: my phone's connecting to the WiFi again. I don't know what did the trick. I did nothing since reinstalling the software. It hadn't worked then, it is now. I tried connecting to my dad's phone's hotspot( he uses a Moto G), and it worked. I then tried connecting to the WiFi at a friend's house, and when I came back home, my phone was able to connect to my WiFi! Is it of any significance that my friend's router doesn't require a password? My issue has been resolved( for now; I hope I'm not counting my chickens before they've hatched). For anyone facing a similar issue, I suggest you try everything I did:
1. Turn your router off for a minimum of 30 seconds, turn it back on and try connecting.
2. Click on the WiFi network you are connected to, scroll to the bottom, tap "Renew Lease".
3. Do a soft and hard reset.
4. Reset network settings.
5. Back your data up, erase all content from settings menu, restore from backup.
6. Reinstall your software( put it in recovery mode).
I am not sure which of the above worked for me. Make sure you try everything. If none of the above works, take it to a genius bar or an authorised service provider. Good luck! :)

Satellite C660-184 freezes at random times whilst playing a game.

Laptop Freezes at random times whilst playing Football Manager 2011. The game isn't graphic intensive and had worked for about a month with no problems, only recently has it begun to freeze and the only thing i can do is switch off my laptop by the power button.

- 4096 MB (2048 +2048) DDR3 RAM (1066MHZ)
- 39.6cm (15.6") TruBrite HD (1366 x 768) High Brightness display with LED backlight with 16:9 aspect ratio
- Intel HD Graphics, Display Memory: 1696 MB
My graphics card driver is up to date, says my latest one is 28/07/2010.
I'm at a loss to explain what is happening.

This could mean that the notebook is overheating now
The reason of overheating is dust that is blocking the fan so the notebook gets hotter
I would recommend cleaning it using compressed air spray to blow out the dust from cooling ventilators. You can do this without disassembling the computer so its very easy and takes 5 minutes only.
Just remove the battery and disconnect AC/DC adapter before you do this.
For example I clean my notebook every 4 months because a lot of dust is coming out so its worthwhile.

Erase and Install
1. Boot from your Snow Leopard Installer Disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Note the SMART status of the drive in DU's status area. If it does not say "Verified" then the drive is failing or has failed and will need replacing. SMART info will not be reported on external drives. Otherwise, click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to one. Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.
4. Quit DU after formatting completes and return to the installer. Install Snow Leopard.
5. After restart into Snow Leopard download and install Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1.

Loud fan runs for long time then overheating then shutdown

About 2 months ago I started to have problems with my MacBook. It is my main machine so this is something I really want to get fixed. The new behavior: fan(s) run loud for some time, then the computer refuses to accept a charge, and then it shuts down. It seems to do this when it feels like it. It did not do this before. I have Apple Care and took it to the Genius Bar. But they said it passed all their hardware tests. I just don't see how it could be anything else but a hardware problem. What should I do?

It could be that you have some errant process running sometimes but not all the time, due to who-knows-what reason (to be discovered later if this bears out.
Have you ran Activity Monitor when it is running hot to see if there is something taking up more than a few percent of CPU time?
I don't know the likelyhood of this next idea because I have not yet had a MacBook apart but all modern computers have some kind of heat sink on the CPU and it may be that that heat sink is sometimes not making a good physical contact to the CPU chip. This has been the case on some Mac powerbooks in the past.

I think it's a keyboard malfunction. Take it to Genius Bar or authorised service centre to fix it up.

Ipod Plays 2 seconds of a song, the freezes 3/4 seconds, then plays fine?!

Basically ive got the latest firmware, my Ipod plays the two seconds at the start of any song.
The thing then freezes for about 4 seconds!
The ipod photo then continues to play the song quite happily?!
It seems to do it every time i use it. Is it due to the amount of music I have on it (almost full / 30 gb)? I guess its not. Im lost .
Any ideas??

Yeah I had to restore it . Shame, had a lot of music that i now have to put back on. Oh well, problem solved .

The browser freezes for a second while playing Zuma Blitz and Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook. It also freezes for a second while typing. What's going on?

During gameplay on Facebook it falls under Adobe Flash. If I "END" the plugin-container.exe the game crashes and have to refersh the page, in which case the plugin starts all over again. There seems to be no way to play without this process running. My typing is also freezing for a second before it catches up to my fingers. This has been happening for about two weeks. I never had this problem playing these games before.
My OS is Windows Vista and I'm running Firefox version 3.6.13

Update: Firefoxe's best browser was version ~2.2.21!
Ever since then, the user experience has been less and less. Slower browser, feats most users don't use (like skins)... really.. I'm a bit disappointed at the (negative) progress of late.

System freezing for a moment before playing videos - MSI GT 70

Every time i double click a movie, windows freezes for like 1.5 second before playing the movie. it is not just a normal OS thing. it ALWAYS happen when i play videos. I received my laptop 4 days ago and this is the only problem i found so far. it may not be a big deal but im kinda worried because of some dude on amazon (who, btw, bought his GT70 from the same patch i bought mine from) wrote an angry review complaining about crashes when playing videos.

The only way to turn off the ipod is to use the sleep/wake button and then turning the red slider. The only setting to switch it off automatically would be the Timer function:
Timer
Set the timer: Tap Timer, then flick to set the number of hours and minutes. Tap Start to start the timer.
Choose the sound: Tap When Timer Ends.
Set a sleep timer: Set the timer, then tap When Timer Ends and choose Sleep iPod.
When you set a sleep timer, iPod touch stops playing music or video when the timer ends.
If you start the timer and go to another iPod touch application, the timer continues
running in the background. (user guide page 89)
And if the batteries are almost empty the ipod will turn off by itself and you will have difficulties to start it up again until you charged it a couple of minutes.

New Laptop Freezes for some time

Hello , I bought a new Laptop recently , updated drivers etc using SoftPaq , but noticed that laptop was freezing for few seconds with the HDD light full ON . so it kept getting worst with time . the first time it happened while i was playing a game (Assasions Creed iV) since that it got so worst that laptop started crashing , i did a diagnostic test from BIOS , it ddint pass the LONG DST test . so i went to the shop i got it from and they said that the HDD is damaged and as 3 months has passed since the purchase you cant replace the HDD , so i bought a new 1 TB HDD..
i am skeptical now , i did the Detail HDD test , it passed both the test BUT I STILL FACE THE PARTIAL FREEZE , like while installing any program or opening firefox , or at random times / programs it would freeze completly , the mouse would move but nothing else , and the HDD light will be full on with white colour .
I would like to know if its a Hardware issue or driver ISSUE . how do i point it out ?
let me know which all info is required I will share in detail

Menu Bar in Leopard - freezes for a time - inactive

Menu Bar in Leopard: I just went from Tiger to Leopard (after 13 months preparing!) and all went smoothly. I can print, scan, use internet, bank and lots more. Great!
But I notice that in the past 24 hours, now and then the menu bar in the FINDER or in ANY PROGRAM does not react. Within 30-60 seconds, it is active again -- and during that time I can use the DOCK, DragThing and change programs -- but none of the menu bar items are active when I mouse to them and click. I change programs a few times; then suddenly it's back--
REALLY STRANGE -- thought it was a memory thing at first as I was doing faces (18,000 photos) with iPhoto '09 - but no, not that as now it does it when not much running...
NEVER saw this with TIGER-- saw strange things with TIGER, but not this!
Any comments appreciated-- MacBook May 2006 (original white) - Core Duo, 2 ghz, 320 mb HD (new- works fine)--
