IPOD Songs dont match ITUNES Library
There are certain songs on my Ipod that are in my ITUNES LIBRARY How can I fix this???
certain songs/albums in my library have exclamation points beside them... indicating that they are missing... How can I fix this???
The exclamation points typically mean someone/something has moved the location of the files outside of the itunes program, and itunes doesn't know where those files are anymore. You can fix the exclamation points by clicking on the files, and pointing itunes to the location of those files on your hard drive.

How do I put all my iPod songs into my iTunes library?
I got my iPod in October, and at the time I didn't own a computer. I used my dad's computer to put songs from my CDs onto my iPod.
Today I finally bought my own laptop, a Mac iBook. I'm trying to load all my iPod songs into my iTunes, but I can't figure out how.
Thanks for any help!Hello Colleen,
The transfer of music is designed to be one way by default - from iTunes to iPod. However, there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the files from your iPod. This is just a selection but I would recommend Senuti, I have used it myself and it's very user friendly.
Senuti Mac Only
iPodRip Mac Only
YamiPod Mac and Windows Versions
PodUtil Mac and Windows Versions
iPodCopy Mac and Windows Versions

Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these and pick one you are happy with, they are generally quite straightforward. -
Ipod Mini not matching Itunes library
For some reason my Itunes library is not matching my ipod mini. More songs are on the mini. Is there a way to synch my library with my mini so I don't lose the songs from the mini?
If you have songs that are on your mini but not in the main library of iTunes you will have to use some third party software to copy those songs off the iPod and put them on your PC and in iTunes. go here

After i got the new 5.0.1 update my itouch wont sync all the changes i make to the songs in itunes. For example in all my songs i delete all info except artist, title, and genre; I did that to all my new songs i added and it shows up correctly in itunes, but now it wont on my itouch. Can anyone help me?
1) Is computer's iTunes > Preferences... > Advanced tab > Keep iTunes Media folder organized and Copy files to iTunes Media folder when adding to library SELECTED?
2) File > Library > Organize Library > Consolidate files Check?
3) After the above are done, de-select the songs in iTunes, Sync, Re-select the songs and sync again. -
Ok, see, i was dowloading some songs off of http://www.youtube-mp3.org. I dragged the songs into my itunes library, but when i looked, they weren't in there. so i looked at my ipod and the songs i downloaded were on it! i dont know how either! i tried to back up my downloaded songs so i could restore it to see if that would help, but there wasn't an option for me to back up my ipod when i right clicked on it. i looked atsome of the other forums about the "AppData" solution. it said to delete the corrupted file if there was one, but i dont know what to look for. can someone please help me? this is driving me crazy.

How do I permanently delte purchased songs from my iTunes library without Match?
How do I permanently delte purchased songs from my iTunes library without Match? iTunes is automatically syncing songs I purchased years ago to my iPhone without me asking it to. I have not and am not going to pay for Match. I want to get of of these songs for good. I do not care about removing them from my history which is impossible, I just want to delete songs so they are not in my library and do not sync to my phone since I never wanted them there.
Hey Dodge50,
Great question! You can choose to sync your entire library, or selected playlists and other items. For more information, check out this resource:
Sync your iPhone, iPad and iPod with iTunes using USB - Apple Support
http://support.apple.com/en-us/HT1386
You can also opt to manually manage the content that is on your device. For more information about this option, see the following:

I have IPhone 5. Songs on phone do not match songs in my itunes library. Can't get rid of songs on phone because they don't show up in library.
Hi there,
It sounds like you may need to hide these purchases in the iTunes Store in order to prevent them from displaying on the Apple TV. Take a look at the article below for more information.

I have all my songs in my iTunes library on the computer, but when I press the button to sync it, it doesn't put the songs on my iPhone. I have songs from my iPod on here too. How do I get it to put the songs on my iPhone?
Have you selected the music to sync?

I lost all my ipod songs when my mom plugged her exact same ipod (5th generation nano) into my computer. She did not get my songs on hers but somehow I lost mine. I tried the five R's and evrything I could find online. I cannot get the songs from my iTunes library back on my ipod. I get a message that says. "Gina's ipod cannot be restored because it is being used in another application." Please help me
Why do you need to restore your iPod to resync your content back over to it from your iTunes library? You should just be able to configure the content to sync to your device as you did before this problem occurred.

HT1329 How can I get the songs on my iPod onto my new iTunes library?
I have an iPod that was synced to another iTunes library on another PC. The PC died and I replaced it with a MacBook Pro but it keeps saying the iPod is synced w/ another iTunes library. How can I get the songs on my iPod on the new iTunes library?
Some of the information below has subsequently appeared in a document by turingtest2: Recovering your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
Your i-device was not designed for unique storage of your media. It is not a backup device and media transfer was planned with you maintaining a master copy of your media on a computer which is itself properly backed up against loss. Syncing is one way, computer to device, updating the device content to the content on the computer, not updating or restoring content on a computer. The exception is iTunes Store purchases which can be transferred to a computer.
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1848 - only purchases from iTunes Store
For transferring other items from an i-device to a computer you will have to use third party commercial software. Examples (check the web for others; this is not an exhaustive listing, nor do I have any idea if they are any good):
- Expod (free) - http://www.headlightsoft.com/expod/ - Mac, universal for 104.+ (newer machines try de-Tune)

I have 100 plus songs in my itunes library (downloaded from store and cd's) that have lost the original file on my computer. They are still playing on my ipod. Is there a way I can transfer the songs fromn the ipod back into the library to restore the files?
I have tried everything I have read on the Internet about sync issues and restore etc and not there isn't a single song on my iPad or iPod touch. All of the songs are listed in my iTunes but are all greyed out, some have the cloud symbol next to them but lots don't and some say waiting.
Long and short is nothing will save to my devices at all.....HELP !!!!!!!?
