IPod spazzing out

I've had problems with my iPod before, but this is unlike anything else....
It usually happens when I first turn the iPod from a complete charge. When I turn it on, it starts spazzing out. It goes back and forth through menus, songs, and turns the backlight on and off randomly. The entire time, it's making weird beeping noises (actual sounds, not from the headphones) and I listened to the hard drive...it's spinning like crazy. Eventually, the contrast is reset really low. It sorts itself out after a few minutes if I leave it alone, but this is really frustrating...
Any help / ideas are appreciated.

Try restoring your iPod with the iPod Updater and see if that resolves things.
Note Restoring erases all data on your iPod so please back up your music!

Nope. Both require iTunes on a computer to sync music from.
Unless the iPod is an iPod Touch and the music was bought from iTunes. In which case the Touch can simply go to the iTunes App, under Purchased and download the purchased songs for free.

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. USe your backup copy to put everything on the new computer, then sync.

My ipod 4th gen gets wiped clean of music anytime I sync. it then only redownloads some of the music in the library and wont upload missing songs. They show on the ipod grayed out. How do I get this to stop? re-uploading takes 4 hours.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

Youtube videos spazzing out and freezing

Sometimes when I have a youtube video in another tab and then go back into that tab, the video will show the same image (as if it were paused, except the sound continues) and/or showing other images spazzing inside of the video (zooming in and out). The latter happens more frequently when I'm on a youtube playlist or have multiple youtube videos opened (not all playing). The latter is quite rare, however, and I had only gotten it twice before I started finding a way to reproduce the former problem. Both can occur independently of each other. I can't remember this happening to me on my old arch linux install (on the same computer), which had the same driver and browser.
I'm on a relatively new arch linux system (about 3 days old) so I barely have anything installed.
This is some of the stuff I have installed that might be relevant:
- Desktop Environment: Cinnamon
- Browser: Chromium
- Video driver: ATI (xf86-video-ati)
- flashplugin 11.2.202.291-1
Reproduction of problem:
1. Open Chromium
2. Open Youtube
3. Open three videos in a new tab from the front page
4. Close Youtube front page window
5. Wait for all videos to start
6. Pause all videos
7. Start video in tab #1
8. Click 'Youtube' in the left corner in tab #1 for home-page
9. Click a video
10. Let the video load and then either pause or let it play.
Now both videos from tab #1 and #3 are frozen (sound is still playing) with a white frame, picture from another website (if I tabbed to it from that website) or a picture from the video. Sometimes it's spazzing out with another video zooming in and out inside of the video frame.

PS. the problem can happen in with e.g. two youtube windows open, I just wrote one that always worked for reproducing the problem.

My problem is not that flash crashes. The sound is still playing, but the video freezes in place or is replaced by an image from another website in my tabs (that I would then have tabbed out of to get to the Youtube video). I tried the suggestions that were given in those forum posts, but they did not solve the problem. The only thing that 'fixed' it was using gnash. However, I do not want an infurior alternative that will negatively affect my experience watching youtube but rather to solve the problem. Unless of course there's an alternative that functions better than the default youtube flash player.

How to get an ipod touch out of recovery mode.

I want to get my iPod Touch out of recover mode and i don't know how I got into it.
All that happened was that my iPod Touch ran out of battery, so I plugged it into my MacBook and when it turned on I just got the Connect to iTunes screen.
I tried turning it off and then on again but to no effect.
I also tried holding down the Home and Power button until the apple logo shows up then release but that still did not work.
What should I do to get it out of recovery mode without restoring??

If re-starting the AMDS driver doesn't work, you can try removing iTunes and AMDS, then re-installing iTunes (which will re-install AMDS).
If that doesn't work, try putting the Touch into DFU mode. You kind of mentioned it above where you held the buttons down while connected to iTunes, but it didn't sound exactly correct and it can be a little tricky to get the timing down.
While having the Touch connected to the computer (and iTunes running) hold the Sleep and Home buttons until the Touch screen goes black (about 10 seconds). When that happens release only the Sleep button -- keep holding the Home button until iTunes says it found a device in recovery mode. At that point you release the Home button and will have to Restore the device, and you can try re-loading your last backup after the Restore process completes.

Playbook Spazzes Out When Connected from HDMI to TV - Help

I have tried this a handful of times before and after OS2 released, hoping the new OS would be the fix. Whenever I connect my playbook by HDMI to my TV, it spazzes out completely. The playbook will open web pages, open and chage settings in the main menu, open applications... It is just doing a lot of "ghost" activity very quickly. I cannot find much info out on the web about similar issues. Playbook never does this in any other circumstances and my TV is new and works fine on other devices. HDMI cable is also new and works with other devices.
I appreciate the help of any Blackberry Gurus out there!

Is your tv grounded properly? Are you using the supplied playbook charger? Or just hdmi when this happens? I know weird stuff happens when using the wrong charger, my wife tried to use a LG charger and it did weird stuff like that. The output was real dirty on a scope.

IPhone 4 typing on its own; and spazzing out

This is a major problem that has been occurring over the past week or so.
Happening from once to four times per day, my one year old iPhone 4 will do something quite strange and abnormal.
When I type anything; whether its on an app or just texting; it will either delete the sequence of letters or start typing and repeating letters on its own. Also, when I press any kind of button, the screen will spazz out in a way, and the button won't be pressed, another button in the close location to the button that was supposed to be pressed will be pressed.
I searched online for answers aside from apple.com, my last resort, and they all said to restore to factory settings.
I did do this, but this didn't work, because the first thing that happened when I typed in my wi-fi password for the first time was that it started to repeat A's, @'s, and O's. Then it seemed to stop.
This is now preventing me from logging into my restored phone because I can't pass the setup guide with the problems that are occurring.
For a while I was predestined to get a new phone, but then I realized I could just fix it. I guess not.
Somebody with the answer to this question, please respond, because it does seem that this question is somewhat frequent upon the community.

Auto responsive, non responsive, and random responsive screens have been discussed a number of times. If power off/on and soft reset do not work and restore does not work the alternative is the Apple genius bar to have it checked out...if the screen is faulty they usually just replace the unit rather than repair. If there is a cost it depends on warranty/AppleCare status.

My Might Mouse is spazzing out!

Hi! We got a Mighty Mouse with our iMac (flat screen) about a year and a half ago. Several months ago, the mouse started causing weird problems. For instance, when there is more than one window open, the windows just start voluntarily deciding to jump to the front. Or sometimes all of the windows will sort of fade to the background so that I can see them all, but none of them are front and center. It's so aggravating! I'll try to shut one of the windows, and just as I get the cursor to the little red dot, the windows decide to switch. Occasionally this has happened when I'm not even touching the mouse.
So, anyway, we pulled out an old mouse (not Mighty Mouse) and used that for several months. Well, we finally decided to replace it with a new Mighty Mouse, and as soon as we plugged it in, it started doing that spazzing out thing again! It never did it with the old, non-Mighty Mouse mouse. So, does anyone know what the problem is? Is it a problem with Mighty Mouses, or am I doing something wrong with the Might Mouse? Has anyone else run into this problem? I'd appreciate any and all suggestions. I still have the receipt and I can return it, but I don't want to buy another Mighty Mouse if there is a problem with all of them. TIA

Since I don't have a Mighty Mouse with my Macs,
the disadvantage in my reply is not being able to
try this out ahead of time to see if I can duplicate.
This original 'flat panel' forum, is about iMac G4s.
Yours must be a newer Intel iMac. But the control
panel should be similar enough to check this out.
With the Mighty Mouse, do you see any different
control panels to make settings in the Sys Pref
under either the Keyboard & Mouse, or another?
How are the settings under Universal Access
when the Mighty Mouse is attached? You may
have options there which are affecting this item
when it is attached; and not a regular mouse.
Mouse (and trackpad in portables) offer settings.
These in Universal Access can affect actions.
Also, an older Mighty Mouse may have other
issues after some time - a required cleaning.

Been trying all night to sort out but just going around in circles

I have not seen a solution for that error but try:
- Place the iPod in DFU mode and then restore
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
