  • Ipod won't see Sony SRS-X5

My iPod touch (model MC547 LL/A, version 6.1.6) will not see my Sony SRS-X5 bluetooth speaker. I have tried turning bluetooth off and on on my touch and the speaker multiple times. My IOS is up to date and there are no other bluetooth devices in the area. I tried my iPhone 5S and it immediately detected and paired with the speaker. I turned off bluetooth on my iPhone and reset everything again, but still the iPod would not recognize the bluetooth speaker. I've done everything I can find on the support pages: reset the speaker, reset the device, etc.
    Thanks for any help.

    DId you:
.- Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    - Does the iPod connect to other BT devices?
If still problem and it does not connect to any BT devices make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • My iphone 6 will not connect to the sony srs-x5 bluetooth wireless speaker.

my iphone 6 will not connect to the sony srs-x5 bluetooth wireless speaker.

There ware some issues with iOS 8, 8.0.1, and 8.0.2, regarding bluetooth. Have you updated to 8.1? Forget the speaker in bluetooth settings, and update. If you are up to 8.1, try to forget the speaker, and reset all settings and attempt to pair again.

You are not address ing Apple here, we are all just users like yourself.
If the headphones work but not the speaker:
    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so. There is a little switch in the headphone jack that disconnects the speaker when the headphone jack is inserted.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
If the speaker still does not work, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

If not under warranty Apple will exchange your iPod for a refurbished one for this price. They do not fix yours. The Apple warranty is for one year unless you purchased the optional Applecare extended warranty

A third-party place like the following will replace the jack for less. Google for more.

  • Why is there no sound coming from my Ipod speaker?

Why is there no sound coming from my ipod speaker?

    Do headphones work?
Do you have volume set to max?
You can try the standard fixes:
    - Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

If you still have the problem then it is likely have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Geniu Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • How can i disable the ipod speaker

the ipod speaker goes silent when i plug in my earphones, but i'd like to permanently disable it. this is a useless feature - belongs in a chipmunks movie. is this possible - seems like a software patch could manage this.

    You can't.
The speakers are suppose to silent sound when the earplugs are used. The sound will come through the earphones so that you do not disturb anyone around you.
seems like a software patch could manage this.
If you believe this, then do a Google search for such a patch.

  • Could I harm my new iPhone 4s trying to charge it on a iPod speaker dock?

On my desk at work I have a Centrios iPod speaker dock/radio from Radio Shack. It also charges my iPod and I'm wondering if it might be an option to use this device to also charge my iPhone at work? I looked over the manual that came with the speaker dock and it does not mention connecting an iPhone to it. Could it do any harm by trying?

Its funny how easy it is for people to complain about something when they dont understand the full scope of it. AT&T isnt going to spend lots of money jsut to update its servers for a launch of a phone, it jsut doesnt make sense in a busness sense. Anyways they were prepared, they hired lots of support staff to answer phone calls to tell customers to wait until the server traffic lowers. That was their cost effective solution instead of updating server capacities.

  • Sony SRS-BTV25 Bluetooth Speaker & PS Vita

    Hi Folks,
Can anyone confirm whether this speaker can pair with the PS VIta? I don't want another Smart Wireless Headset Pro situation
    Cheers,
    G

I don't have any PS Vita to test with but they should be compatible according to their specifications. Our speaker supports all bluetooth profiles that PS Vita requires according to http://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/psvita/settings/bluetooth.html.

  • IPod Nano + Sony personal audio system - how to get radio to play?

We got a Sony RDP-M7iPN personal audio system - that's a good thing.
But the iPod Nano won't play radio if the headphones aren't plugged in.  When it's docked on the Sony system, it won't play radio and there's no way to get a headphone jack plugged in (no room).
Is there something we're missing?  Or is there some adapter we need?  Any thoughts?

Go on to System Preferences and open the Bluetooth icon. Ensure that the SRS-X2 speaker is switched on and next to the Macbook; press down on the Bluetootch icon that is above "pairing" on the speaker and keep pressing it down until it beeps; your Macbook should now be able to find the speaker and you can click pair to pair the two together.

  • Sony SRS-X7 Compatability with iPhone 6

Does anyone know if the SRS-X7 wireless speaker works with an iphone 6?
I tried calling customer support but they not helpful at all.  They could only read the back of the box back to me which doesn't list the iphone 6 as being compatible.
I am wondering if it actually isnt't compatabile or if the box was printed before the iphone  6 was released.

  • 4th Gen iPod not working with older ipod speaker docks

Has anyone else had issues when docking a 4th gen ipod to portible speakers or an adapter that works fine with 3rd gen ipods? I've had 2 different things happen... with an alarm clock w/ ipod jack, the ipod will play, but it won't charge. With a travel speaker set for ipod that I use, the ipod won't play or charge. The same thing happens in my car which has a jack for an ipod.. my 3rd gen will play and charge, but my 4th gen will only play.
Any help out there to resolve this?

This might help with the charging problem:

  • Older ipod speaker stopped working

my son was given an older version Ipod .  Its an 8gb.  When i initially got it, it wouldnt load anything, now i am able to finally load music, but now the speaker doesnt work.  I cant get online in a public place, and i cant load apps.  I have done a full restore with no avail.  I am beginning to think this is why i didnt want this in the first place.  I have music loaded and still no speaker.  If i plug headphones in i have sound.  Wen i "slide to unlock" i have sound but nothing after that. Is it a lost cause?  It orginally had the other persons name attached and somehow it now shows my sons name (I have a nano that i use) and all of the restore is gone.  I am using the updated Itunes and have tried it on all of the computers (XP and Windows 8)  If anyone can help, i would appreciate it

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that points to a hardware problem. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. The appointment is free.
