Ok I got a new Ipod Video and all the movies and songs are still on my computer how the **** do I put it on this new Ipod Video? I know it is a stupid question but I don't want to lose anything in my computer.thanks so much! please respond asap thanks alot!

You just need to connect your new iPod and follow the on screen instructions. It will connect to your existing iTunes and update.

Nope.
Apple recomends after each purchase to BACKUP your purchases. If purchased on a mobile device (iPhone, iTouch, iPod, etc) you should transfer your purchases to a computer running iTunes as soon as possible to back them up.
If you don't have your items in your library, I'm afraid there is little recourse.

HT1727 I lost my old iPod and bought a new one. The old one had many of MY personally owned and legally bought CDs on it. I have those iTunes backed up ant now I can't seem to "synch" them to the new iPod nano.

I can't seem to synch my new iPod nano to the legally purchased music from CDs that had been on my old iPod which I've lost.
I had a backup of all those iTunes that I want to import to the new nano.
How can I "synch" the new iPod nano to the music I see in an iTune library? The new iPod nano displays "no music" and
doesn't play anything.

You might consider restoring the iPhone, then removing the SIM card after activating the iPhone, so as to use it as an iPod Touch. This should prevent any unwanted association with a phone number, and thus, voicemail, as well.

What country are you in ? If they are still in the store then you should be able to re-download apps via the Purchased tab in the App Store app, and ibooks via the Purchased tab in the ibookstore in the iBooks app, but whether you can re-download music, films or tv shows via the Purchased tab in the iTunes store app depends upon what country that you are in - they can't be re-downloaded in all. Audiobooks and ringtones are currently a one-time only downloads. You don't have copies of your downloads on your computer's iTunes nor on a backup ?

If when you connect the iPod to your computer iTunes does not see the iPod then to get data off the iPod you need to go to a Data Recovery company. Not cheap.
However,
- If they are in an iPod backup (those in the iPod's Saved Photos/Camera Roll album are) then restore from that backup. See the restore topic of:

- If they are in the iTunes backup then get them from the backup by:

I had the same problem with my iPad, i couldn't get the newer version of itunes because the computer was too old and my iPad couldnt sync with the old itunes. I got a PC from school a few months later so that solved the problem for me. Unfortunately i don't think there would be a program to put your music on your iPod, iTunes should be the only way to transfer files to Apple devices. What operating system are you running and what version of it is it?

There is no way to remotely track or disable an iPod nano, either for you or Apple. As it can't connect to the Internet on its own, Find my iPhone isn't available for it.

Can I just get a different ribbon so it fits? Ive looked for one and have found a couple of different ones and the seem to be specific to the ipod although I cannot find one specific for the 160g. Whether you can redownload previous purchases depends upon the type of item (audiobooks and ringtones are one-time only downloads), what country that you are in (music, films, TV shows can't be redownloaded in all countries), and whether the item is still in your country's store (content providers occasionally remove their items) - what you can redownload will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage
Or you should be able to copy purchases back from your iPod via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option (if the drop-down menus aren't showing then control-B should get them to show).
If you have music from other sources on your iPod (e.g. copied from CDs) then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991

Are the other iPods models, same version as yours. The 2 New FM Tx may need a new iPod software, which you can update via iTunes.
