Ipod stops after each track ends in a playlist?

I have a problem: Suddenly, my ipod stops after each track ends in a playlist.  This happens with every playlist and every track, all of which worked fine until this week.  All tracks' settings are "yes" on 1) part of a compilation; 2) remember playback position and; 3) skip when shuffling.  I have not updated any software or added any new content to my ipod.  I imagine that some setting has been switched on or off, but I am unable to identify which one.  Please help as these are my audio books!  Thanks!

See below for a link on how to copy a CD into iTunes if you want an Audibook.
I have tried checking the gap less album box (what is that for by the way) but it makes no difference.
If you've heard of Dark Side of The Moon by Pink Floyd then it's used there when you want no break between tracks. Or any DJ mixed continuos play CD. Or some classical music. Take your pick
Third question, can I make a book copied into iTunes an Audiobook? How?

No problem, hang around and read a few posts, there's always plenty to learn in here.

  • Stop after each track?

Is it possible to set the nano so after each song is played, it stops playing and won't go to the next song unless you press play again?

Selecting a single song MAY do this already. Just make sure "repeat" is turned off. But are you talking about from within a playlist, artist or album list? I think it will automatically advance to the next song.
Edited: I just tested it. The single song trick works only if there is one song from an album or artist. If the artist or album has more than one song on your iPod, this may not work.

  • Podcasts stop after each track

    Hi,
How do I make each podcast play after another? At the moment one will play then stop, and another will not play.
    Thanks

Yes. I think a Smart Playlist would be your best bet. You could probably base it on Album name and then it would add new podcasts as you download them. (That's if you want to create the list to hold a specific podcast and not all podcasts in your library.)

  • Cant play tracks continuously - stops after each

Hi there - sorry, tried to do everything I could before resorting to this... I just got a new computer with Windows 7 so downloaded the latest iTunes and imported my library - all good except it stops after each track and doesn't play the next. So I uninstalled it, downloaded it again, and the same problem. Am I just being dumb and is there some setting I need to change? Thanks!

For unknown reasons, iTunes seems to have a bad habit of unchecking all the tracks when you reinstall or update. Certainly not always, but often enough that after every update there are a few people with the same problem.
Glad I was able to help.

  • Stopping a recording after each track

I have an odd request...Is there any way to stop a recording after each track? Such that there are three tracks on a recording, after each track I would like the CD to stop. After it has stopped, I would like to be able to push play and move to the next track. That is, I put the CD in the player, push play, the CD plays track 1, and then stops; I push play again, and the CD begins playing track 2, and so on. I have Logic Pro and iTunes, which I have used to create the tracks and compile onto a CD. Using these can I create a CD with these parameters? Any advice would be helpful, and thanks in advance for your time.

  • Smart Playlists Stop Playing After Each Track

After updating iTunes to version 10.0.1.22 my smart playlists stop playing after each track. All songs or Podcasts in my smart playlists are checked so they should be playing consecutively but they're not.
    Any help would be appreciated.

Make sure the little boxes to the left of the song names are checked. If you need to check all the songs in a single view at once, hold the CTRL key and check any one of the boxes.

  • Stopping after each song has finished

Is it possible to set up the iPod shuffle so that when a song has finished playing it stops/pauses. Instead of continuing to the next song?

Haven't tried it on a shuffle, but here is an idea.
In iTunes, set up a playlist of the stuff you want on the shuffle. Now UNCHECK all the boxes in front of those songs. Also select all then do a get info and check the box to "skip when shuffling". I am not sure if that setting will effect how the songs play on the shuffle or not, but worth a try. If the shuffle does use that setting, then when you play a track, it should stop after that track since all the songs on the shuffle are unchecked and will be skipped.

  • ITunes stops after each cut

The cuts are numbered. Options has "Part of a gapless album." But it stops after each cut and I must manually continue. This on a recent addition to Itunes, and did not previously behave this way.

Check to see if the little boxes to the left of the song titles have become unchecked. If they are not checked, you will see the kind of behavior you're seeing. Command-click in one of the boxes to check them all.
    Best of luck.

  • Itues 11. How do you make Podcasts play continuously. Right now they stop after each selection

In iTunes 11 my podcasts stop after each selection. How do I play them continuosly as I was able to in iTunes 10?

I second this motion of shenannigans.
Upon updating to iTunes 11 I was unpleasantly surprised by the fact that my podcast smartlists no longer played continuously.
    So,
Dear Apple, perhaps you want to fix the section on your website describing how to use a smartlist for continuity of podcast play, because it is not working as described http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/.
and yes, I too would like to know what's going on and how to fix it.

  • IPod stops after playing 1 podcast

I bought my iPod Nano mainly to play podcasts that I subscribe to thru iTunes. With 1 exception, this combination has worked beautifully. I like that every time I sync, the podcasts that I listened to gets removed and replaced with new podcasts downloaded by iTunes.
Here is the exception. When there are multiple episodes of a podcast, lets say "The Ed Schultz Show", Nano stops playing after each podcast and returns to the main menu! How do I get it to cycle thru all of the unplayed episodes before stopping and returning to the main menu? I picked this podcast because each daily podcast is broken up into small segments instead of one big podcast.
This may be a futher irritation - the episodes are listed in most recent first so I have to start at the bottom and work my way up. This is inconsequential at the moment since I have to select and play each episode singly but may become an irritation IF there is a way to make it play all episodes as I am trying to make it do. I want it to play chronologically as intended.
One possible solution I read about was to put the podcast in a (smart)playlist. However I can see a potential problem here. On iTunes, I have the podcast setting to delete all unplayed episodes of a podcast. However, since I only listen to the podcasts on the Nano, not in iTunes, it seems to me that iTunes thinks that none of the episodes have been played since all of the episodes are still there. So if I create a playlist to hold the podcasts (in hopes of getting them to play continuously), I have a feeling that one of the best features of the iPod/iTunes in playing podcasts would be defeated, i.e. automatic removal of all played episodes!
Any comment/advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Howdy,
I haven't replied back to this post yet until now, but I think I might have figured out what was causing the problem for me (or at least reproduced the problem reliably).
I have noticed that the problem is only present when I manually delete all individual podcast episodes from a particular podcast but leave the podcast title heading on my iPod.
If I leave at least one episode under each podcast title heading, the iPod behaves normally.

  • Playlist of podcasts stopping after each podcast

I manage which podcasts, and the order, I want to listen to using a playlist and until recently this worked as I wanted, i.e. when one podcast had finished playing my iPod started playing the next podcast in the playlist. Now it seems to be stopping playback after each podcast, this is very annoying.
Anyone know how I can get the iPod to not stop playback after each podcast?

No, for some reason it's not included as one of the features of the Podcast App.
If you need playlists (as many of us do), then delete the Podcast App and podcasts will return to the music app, complete with podcast playlist functionality.

  • Creative Muvo stops after each song

My creative muvo has begun to stop play after each song. You have to scroll to the next song manually. Has anyone had this problem? (The battery is fully charged)

If the Play Mode is set to normal then that shouldn't happen. Could be a problem with the files on the unit, you could try formatting it and then transfer some new tracks over (rip them from CD for example). It might help aswell to update the firmware.
You didn't mention which MuVo it is exactly, but if there is a firmware update available for it, it'll be in the Downloads section (Support > Downloads).
