IPod Stuck on Apple Reset Screen

I had my iPod out with me while I was mowing the lawn the other day and it stopped playing, and when I attempted to reset the iPod, it keeps flashing the Apple screen and there is a clicking sound everytime it resets again. Anyone have any suggestions?

I always try force mounting it. This happened to me, and this little trick worked.
Plug it into your computer, then hold down the middle and play/pause button simultaneously to force mount the iPod. Hopefully it will show up in the computer and iTunes will let you restore it. Good luck!

  • 5G iPod stuck at apple logo screen - will not finish booting, just restarts

I just got off the phone with Apple.
    Has anyone had this occur.
I had to reset my iPod a few hours ago, it never made it past the brighter apple logo. It looks like it's about to turn back on and then decides "let's try that again" and clicks back to the fainter logo screen. It's been looping like that for over two hours now. I need to let it drain now, but the apple tech didn't sound too hopeful.
just wondering if anyone else has had an iPod die this way...

  • Ipod stuck on apple logo screen

just tonight when I went to eject my ipod from the computer I noticed that it just shows the grey screen with the apple logo then it flashes a black screen for a second and back to the apple logo it keeps doing that and I can't seem to restart it. I have no idea what to do. I don't even know what happened it was working totally fine earlier today. Also I tried plugging it back in to the computer and it's not even recognizing that it is there. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have alot of stuff on there I'd really rather not lose

I had same thing happened. I sent it into apple who said there was broken glass in the headphone. I thought that was weird. I received the ipod back and they said my warranty was broken. I looked in the head phone jack, there was no glass. I never had any problem with the head phone. It hasn't had a fall or anything. Now I feel like I frozen out of any help. I don't know if they were looking at the wrong ipod or what. I have no idea what to do now. It is so frustrating because I think there might be a software solution. I can install music and uninstall music at itunes. I guess if nothing else it is a still a really crappy flash drive that will only store music and videos. But I am really frustrated. Please let me know if you find anything out.

  • My iPod is Stuck on the Reset Screen

It had been a while since I used my iPod Touch because I didn't have I lost the charger. I recently bought a new charger and once I plugged in the iPod, it started to charge normally. But the apple logo and the dead battery screen would go back and forth. So I reset it by holding the home button and lock button, and it restarted like normal with the logo but it's stuck on the logo. It has been on the reset logo for hours and I reset it multiple times to see if it would help but it is just stuck on the reset screen. I don't know what to do, I can't turn it off and resetting it isn't working.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. It could be that the battery is dead

My apple tv 2 is stuck on apple boot screen.  What do I need to do?

Try pulling ALL the cables for a moment and trying again, if the problem remains try restoring it by connecting it to iTunes with a micro USB cable.

  • IPod Touch 4G Stuck On Apple Logo Screen

So I just recently jail broke my iPod touch 4G and was using iFile to delete some default apps and stuff that was taking up space on my device.  I only need to use the Music app, so all of the other default apps can be erased.  I must have accidentally deleted something in regards to the music app because I am not able to transfer music onto the device using iTunes.  I turned my iPod off then and turned it back on and this is where the major problem came in.  It's stuck on the Apple Logo screen and will not boot back up or anything.  I have tried putting it in DFU mode and doing every kind of reset or restore and none of that has worked.  Now it doesn't even show up in iTunes.  Unfortunately I don't remember every thing I deleted when using iFile, so I cannot provide much information regarding that.  My iPod has worked perfectly fine until I jail broke it, which I probably shouldn't have even done but none the less if someone has any possible genius solution to my problem, I would appreciate you leaving a comment.  Thanks.

  • Ipod touch 2nd gen stuck on apple reboot screen

Hopefully someone can help... For the past 2 days, my touch has been stuck on the black screen with a white apple on it (the reboot screen). Approximately every 15 mins or so, the screen flashes to white as if it is trying to open something, flashes to black, and then the apple screen re-appears. Prior to this problem, I had downloaded some ebooks from the Barnes & Noble EReader App. I have tried holding down the wake/sleep key at the same time as the menu key. This will turn it off, but when I turn it back on, same problem. I have connected it to my computer via USB and it hasn't made a difference. I have tried connecting it to the computer, holding down the wake/sleep key at the same time as the menu key until I get a black screen and then continuing to hold both until the reboot screen appears again. I have tried this several times and nothing has changed on my ipod. When my touch is connected to the computer, occasionally my itunes will recognize it and synch, but then it disconnects itself. I can get it to be recognized as an ipod on my itunes if I hold both the sleep/wake and home buttons until the screen goes black and the apple re-appears where I release the sleep/wake button but continue to hold the menu button in order to get the restore settings, but only gives me the option to restore it to factory settings, which I don't want to do since I will lose everything on my touch. I have read that putting it into SSH would have been helpful, but I can't get into my settings to change it. Is there anything I can possibly do to save my current contents without having to totally reset it?

This exact same thing happened to me today and I cannot reset either. Don't want to restore to factory as I keep my mileage on my device and will lost it and not get paid. HElp.

  • Ipod is not recognized and is stuck on apple black screen.

    So here's the story:
I have a 30Gb ipod.A few days ago it ran out of battery.and now ive been trying to charge it on my computer but it gets stuck on the black screen with the apple in it and keeps making some weird "start up" sounds all the time.I've tried resetting, reinstalling iTunes and a lot of other guides that ive been searching throughout the internet.I've ran out of options so I'd like to know if anyone could help.
Issues: 1-Ipod is stuck on black screen and doesnt charge
2-Ipod is not recognized by either windows or Itunes
3-When i try to put him and bring it back from disk mode it keeps the same.
I think that's all.any questions anyone might have please post it here.Don't suggest to try and make him run out of batteries cuz it doesnt stay on for long.It stays on the black screen and then shuts off.any help/hint/suggestion that doesn't involve buying a new one is appreciated :/
    Thanks in advance.

  • IPod Stuck on the Black screen with White Apple logo

Last night, my iPod suddenly stopped working after I restarted my PC with the iPod still connected to it. It's now stuck on the Apple Logo screen and keeps on making hard drive noises, as if it's constantly being reset.
I tried doing the Select+Menu button reset multiple times, and tried restarting my computer, connecting the iPod to different power sources, etc.
I'm unable to do a system restore because the iPod won't connect to my PC.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated, I don't want to lose this iPod

All you can do is to restore the iPod.If it happens again try restoring to factory defaults/new iPod, not from backup.

  • Ipod nano 7th gen stuck on apple logo screen

New iPod nano 7th gen.  At first attempt to upload songs, was prompted to update software.  So, software was updated and as I was installing software update to the iPod, I got a message stating that the iPod was in the process of a restore (I think this is what it said.  I didn't pay a whole lot of attention as i was not expecting any problems).  I continued with the restore because nothing had been uploaded to the iPod yet so nothing would be lost.  At this point, the device has been stuck on the apple logo screen for a couple of hours now.  The only response I can get from it is when I do a reset.  The screen will black as it should and then go right back to the logo and stay.  Please help.....Son not happy as this was one of his Christmas presents this morning.  Really not looking forward to a trip to the apple store on the day after Christmas.

I am afraid yo need to visit the store and possibly ask for a replacement. In some cases, doing the reset will correct any issues, but by the way you describe it, it freezes with apple logo. Better to get a replacement.

  • Ipod Nano stuck on apple logo screen

So my little brothers Ipod Nano 4th generation is stuck on the Apple logo screen. I've reset it a couple of times, but it won't leave the apple logo screen. I wasn't able to get it into disk mode, and my laptop wasn't regonizing it, but two days ago our desktop's Itunes recgonized it. Is there anything else I can do, or is it time to take a trip to an Apple Store? Any help would be, well, helpful

but two days ago our desktop's Itunes recgonized it
Since the desktop was able to recognize it, did you restore it in iTunes?

  • Ipod 5 stuck on apple logo screen

last night(about 22 hours ago) i tried to update my ipod 5 to ios 8.2 I clicked the install button and then left my ipod on my desk charging. I came back about an hour later and it was stuck on the apple logo screen but with no progress bar. Every minute or so so about 10 minutes it started to glitch out and shut down right when the lock screen would show up. It has been on the apple logo screen since then and i just got back from school to find it stuck. Occasionally it will get a little dimmer, but about a minute later it will be bright again.

  • Ipod stuck on the reset

Well I disconnected my Ipod and tehn when i tryed turing it on it went to the reset screen....With the Apple icon..And its been stuck thee for a while...Ive reset it and it stays the same.I tryed to connect my computer and Itunes and my computer didnt pick it up...
    Please HELP ME!!!

Try letting it drain completely, launch the iPod updater, and plug in the iPod. Hopefully it will allow you to update it.
If not, with it connected to your computer reset it by holding Center and Menu. When you see the Apple logo, press Center and Play to throw it into Disk Mode. With luck, it will be recognized by the updater and you'll be able to restore it.

  • Imac 5k stuck on apple logo screen after latest update

Hi - i have a magazine deadline and a major issue:
i've been having loads of kernel panics (see thread here Brand new imac 5k kernel panic) and having seen there was a new update figured it would be worth installing it to see if it fixed them as nothing so far suggested by apple support has helped. Once it had downloaded the update the OS said it needed to reboot to finish installation.  It got half way through the loading bar on the apple logo screen and got stuck. I left it an hour, came back still nothing. Left it another hour and it was still just stuck half way.  I rebooted into diagnostics and ran that and it said everything was fine but further reboots just get as far as halfway through the bar.  I'm now stuck as the computer was only a month or so old and i hadn't yet set up back up on it. I was still in the process of getting everything configured and over from my old machine.  Problem is I have a bunch of photos that were transferred on to it that i shot 2 weeks ago and I need them for a magazine deadline tomorrow and apple support options could only call me back on Thursday - if anyone can suggest anything i will be VERY grateful. I've already tried SMC and PRAM resets.

I did that, a fresh OS install and it worked for about 4 hours then i got a kernel panic
