Ipod stuck on Connected and hold even when not plugged in
I've only had my ipod around 2 months, so i don't see why this is happening, but it seems even though i've tried to disconnect and eject my ipod many times (won't even appear as connected on itunes now) it's stuck on connected and on hold.
The light also won't turn off.
Tried holding the menu and play buttons at the same time to reset it. Nothing seems to work.
Do i just wait for the battery to run out by itself and then hope the best?
Any advice is highly appreciated.
Mine just did the same thing,try holding the center and the menu buttons at the same time it worked for mine.

You could use the free tool iStat Pro to see what changes when you connect your MBA to the display. Without doing anything the CPU pane should show a high percentage for "Idle". If the idle value is too low, launch the Activity Monitor and sort by CPU usage. There is a pane showing the different temperatures of your computer. Watch them for a few minutes after connecting the display.

Place the device in DFU mode (google it) then restore as new.

IPhone bluetooth lowering volume and fans even when not getting a call
Have a friend where when he gets into his car, his phone is even turning the radio volume down and lowering the fan speed even when he doesn't get a call, so he has to keep turning bluetooth or his phone off so it won't mess with that stuff. Before it would only do that when he would receive a call. Any idea what might be doing it?
What indications does your friend have that his phone is causing that?
It's possible - maybe an alert/notification that is coming through is causing it. The sound is trying to play through the bluetooth instead of the handset. Tell him to mute his phone. -
IPod Got Washed-Reset-Power Goes Off When Not Plugged/Charging

My husband accidentally washed my iPod. He connected to iTunes, downloaded the restore software, and I was able to reset my iPod settings. But now when I disconnect and unplug the iPod, the screen goes dark and won't turn back on. Then after plugging it back in, the Apple logo appears and it syncs normally/charges.
Is there anything I can do to fix this situation?How many days did he let it dry before he connected it to the computer? Needed to be at least 4 - 5.
If it was immediate it probably killed the battery. You'll need to get it replaced or replace it yourself.

Power source: Power Adapter even when not plugged in
My 13" Macbook (Late 2008 Version) says that the power source is the power adapter even when it is not plugged in. Because of this it will not switch to the energy saver options for when it is running off of the batter as opposed to being plugged in. Why is it doing this? I have tried resetting the SMC and that has not worked.
mine has started to do the same thing. I have reset the nano 3 times. When I turn it off the "charged battery" icon stays on though the light is off. I plugged it in to the computer and had to reset for the computer to find. After leaving it plugged in for a few hours I unplugged and tried again. Still says "charged" all the time.
I could try a hard reset...., but has any one else experienced this?

Nano always displaying charge indicator even when not plugged in!
Following a recent charge, the nano is permantently displaying the charging indicator whether I have it plugged in or not. This means that even when disconnected and switched off, it shows the symbol and runs down the battery - meaning I have to keep it charging all the time when not in use!
I have had the nano working fine for several months - strange that it's started doing this...

Damaged magsafe charger still working (light glows even when not plugged into MBP) - safe to use?

This is going to sound ridiculous but i accidentally let the end of magsafe 85w charge fall into a bowl with some melted ice cream left in it..... i didn't notice at first until i saw it lying with the charging light glowing despite not being connected to the macbook. i turned it off at the mains and cleaned it out as best i could with a q-tip and a toothbrush to try and get away any excess - there still appears to be some balck residue around the pins, im not sure if this is from the ice cream, or something to do with the electronics being fried in some way.
Anyway, apart from an occasion when i was cleaning it and there was a small spark and a very small stream of smoke (almost unnoticeable) as I initially forgot to unplug it from the mains , it seems to be working somewhat normally again. it charges my macbook and the light turns off when its disconnected but it changes from orange to green randomly sometimes when it is connected.
My main question is, is this dangerous to my macbook to use in this state and if so how? i intend to replace it eventually regardless but at the moment i cant afford to pay the steep £65 price tag for a new charger.
i understand that the charger may eventually stop working but i dont want it to short out my macbook or something - apologies if any of the steps taken above seem idiotic, i really dont know what im doing in the area of fried electronics.....
thanks for any help.So long as the charger is NOT connected to a AC wall outlet, soaking it in penetrating oil will not harm it.

Some do come in that configuration but I doubt that you can use the 'pressure' to your advantage. The objective is to get the liquid behind the pins and I think you can only do that by soaking it in a container that is well sealed. The liquid otherwise will evaporate quickly.
Understand that this is what I would try to do if I were well up the Amazon River with no other alternative. A new charger guarantees that it will work. This may not.

My iPod touch is stuck in landscape view. Even when held vertically if I open facebook or safari is rotates to landscape. Have tried turning on and off, same results. Any ideas to fix?
Try switching it back from landscape to vertical. Or, go to settings and see if you have any special setting turned on that enable only landscape view. Also, try hooking it up to your computer and charging it to see what happens.

my IPod is disabled and says connect to iTunes but when I plug it in it says I need a password. I would put it in recovery mode but my home button doesn't work. any suggestions?

my ipad mini has water damage but when I plug into wall it says to connect to itunes. When I plug into Mac nothing happens. Not even a charging sign and nothing happens with itunes. Computer doesn't recognize it's plugged in.
If moisture got inside, it may have shorted the iPad's electronics.

my ipod touch is connected to wi-fi but not access safari, youtube, itunes, app store, safari even tells me that is not connected to internet, also had trouble at first because I could not connect to wi-fi, afternoon much as told me that the password was incorrect when it was correct, please tell me as I do to let me access youtube, safari, app store, i tunes...

If the same website is opening each time you launch a browser (Safari?) hold down the shift key as you launch to prevent previous pages from opening.
Have a look at your settings in Safari > Preferences. Especially General and Privacy.
Reset Safari to remove cookies and other stored data.

How do I get my itunes to recognize my account, it seems to be stuck on my friend account even when my ID show up as sign in, only when I try to update an App, that my friend account appear. I try to reset it on the computer and the phone itself, but no luck. Please advise

The Touch Copy third party software for PC's is the way to go it seems and although the demo is free, if you have over 100 songs then it costs £15 to buy the software which seems not a lot to pay for peace of mind. and restoring your iTunes library back to how it was.
