IPod stuck on Empty Battery screen.

I have had my iPod for 3 months now and it has been fine. I left it to run down so that I could recharge it properly and it doesn't seem to go past the screen saying the battery is almost empty.
It brings up the screen with the apple and then makes a clicking sound then goes back to almost empty screen.
This is the result when trying to charge using my USB cable.
My Mum has an iPod dock of some kind and if I put it on that it will bring up the interface for the iPod. I think it charges on there ok. The empty battery problem still occurs if the iPod ever goes into a stage where it has to load the apple screen. If it needs to do that I can't turn it on. It will try then click then shut down.

Reset it (hold down the menu and center button for 6 seconds) while it is in the iPod dock. If that doesn't work, Restore it in iTunes.

  • IPad 2 stuck on low battery screen

Hello my ipad 2 is stuck on low battery screen and i have tried everything and nothing works, it does not reset and doesnt even enter in DFU mode.. everytime i reset it, it gives me the red battery screen again. i charged it with a wall charger and USB charger to my laptop and nothing works. HELP please

Then this might help you, if you hold both home and power button for 10 -15 seconds.
    If that doesn't work:
plug your device to you mac or pc
    turn off your device
when it's completly black screen. (You have to have your device plugged in)
then hold power button for 3 seconds
without releasing the power button, hold both home and power for 30 seconds.
then you'll be in DFU mode.
    restore.
    Hope this will work.

  • Ipod touch 2nd gen stuck on low battery screen and won't turn on, Ipod touch 2nd gen stuck on low battery screen and won't turn on

My ipod touch was working fine until yesterday it just shut off with about half of charge left. I tried holding the power and home button but nothing. When I plug it into the charging wall outlet the low battery screen pops up and same goes for when I plug it into iTunes on my computer. I let it alone overnight to see if the battery would drain but same thing happened today. What should I do?

I have never seen this answer before but here's what worked for me and I found it accidentally.
I have an iPhone and an iPad and I only had 1 charger (my only Apple cord didn't work anymore so I had thrown it out and I thought maybe that was the problem, except my iphone charged fine with my pink cord) by my bedside, so I would just hook up the one that needed it the most before I went to bed.  Well one day I woke up to find that my iPad had a low battery, with the red battery picture. When I plugged it into the charger, it just kept recycling to the Apple logo and then the spinning wheel of death, and back again.
I did some research and couldn't figure it out. People who thought it was a dead battery still had the same problem after they sent it in and got a new battery  My iPad is not jail broken and half the "solutions" were over my head. I have over 1300 apps on my iPad, not to mention thousands of pictures, that I was just feeling so bereft and sad that I might have lost everything.  So I just let my iPad sit, and drained the whole battery down to the nubbin.  It was 2-3 days without a charger that I just let it sit.
Then I put it on the charger again and I noticed I still got the red battery symbol, but the red was a thinner slice. I went to work and left it on the charger all day. When I returned, one of my FB notifications came on and bam, there it was, my sign on screen or whatever it's called, where you slide the thingy across. And it was back!!!!!!
So I was overjoyed.  I'd also had a problem syncing with a warning that it overloaded my USB port. It was a separate problem, but I was able to sync it after that, and my iPhone too, so I was ecstatic.
Then the battery thing happened again about a week later.  I thought I had been diligent about keeping it charged but it went down after only a day off the charger.  Realized that I had FB and mail notifications notifying me in the startup screen, so that it was constantly turning itself on and off.  I have almost 5000 FB friends and 10 email accounts, so that was a lot of steady activity that I wasn't really aware of.  I have now turned off all notifications to every app, since they also come on my phone AND I bought a 2nd cord, a purple one, so now I'm set and don't expect to ever have that problem again.
Hope this helps everyone who thought they had a brick.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Ipod stuck on the apple screen

Can someone help me. My Ipod seems to get stuck on the apple screen and keeps restarting. Also the last time i used it i was not able to do horizontal on the web browser to be web contents. Plz help me

    Hello, Welcome to Apple Discussions.
Have you attempted to allow the iPod Touch to completely drain it's battery. Then connect it and charge it? If so does it continue to keep restarting?
Also you may wish to see if you can put the iPod Touch into recovery mode as well as see if you can perform a reset on it.

  • IPod touch stuck on low battery screen

I have had an ipod touch for a year now, and whenever I used to charge it, it took 2 minutes to charge fully and used to last 5 minutes. Now, I haven't charged it for a month because my charger broke. Now when I link it up via USB to my PC, it has a red battery sign on the screen with a thunder sign underneath it, and it stays stuck on this screen. Another problem is that the laptop that it is synced with is broken. How do I fix this problem - resetting the iPod? Getting a new charger? Replacing the battery? Help would be appreciated. Thanks

it sound like you may need a new battery if its not holding charge .

  • Ipod stuck on "Usb -- iTunes" screen on my ipod.

I attempted installing the iPod Touch 2.2 Update and it gave me an error, and now my ipod is stuck with the screen of a USB cable with an arrow pointing up to iTunes.
I've unplugged and replugged it into my laptop, I've even powered down my iPod and unplugged it, only to have the same screen when turning it back on. iTunes is no longer detecting my ipod either.

    Hi Kangarew,
The iPod is in recovery mode, which is described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

  • IPod Stuck on the Black screen with White Apple logo

Last night, my iPod suddenly stopped working after I restarted my PC with the iPod still connected to it. It's now stuck on the Apple Logo screen and keeps on making hard drive noises, as if it's constantly being reset.
I tried doing the Select+Menu button reset multiple times, and tried restarting my computer, connecting the iPod to different power sources, etc.
I'm unable to do a system restore because the iPod won't connect to my PC.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated, I don't want to lose this iPod

All you can do is to restore the iPod.If it happens again try restoring to factory defaults/new iPod, not from backup.

  • Ipod touch 5th generation battery screen with lightning bolt locked cannot charge or restart.  ive tried everything from new cables attempting to shut down but stays at screen for a few seconds then black screen again over and over

screen locked up and shows the battery with low red and ligtning bolt and cannot hard shut down or reset just stays there for a few seconds then black screen. hooked up to computer and itunes doesnt recognize it or even shows that it is pluged in.  looked and made sure nothing is broken or metal in ligting port or on cable which would prevent it from accepting a charge. ipod is only a month old and seems like a waste of money if its so hard to try to get an explanation of why this is ive been tryning to get an answer from apple for a week now.

  • Ipod stuck on usb/itunes screen but won't connect to anything

My ipod touch is stuck on a screen with a picture of a usb plug and says itunes store.  It will not connect to the itunes store and I have tried restarting with menu and power key.

UPDATE: It finally decided to start working again, but it's been rather wonky for quite some time now. I'm not at all happy, especially considering I can't afford a new one.
