• Closes applications when you use the select all function in the Hebrew language, ios version 7.0.3

Hi I upgraded to Ios version 7.0.3, I use the Hebrew language.
I have a problem when I select all the Hebrew alphabet, no matter where (it's sms, email, Internet, all applications on the device, and the device itself, search, contacts, calendar).
The device closes the application, and then I open the application and has no caption or a site that was supposed to be before closing as if I started now.
The problem occurs even when I write in the search for the problem device does re-lighting the device as if you just turned on the device (no open applications for example).
It only happens in Hebrew only, if there are English and Hebrew together this glitch does not appear.
I tried other languages English Chinese Russian Indian, they respond well to highlight the text individually without the Hebrew language.
It happened in the previous version 7.0.0.
In older versions it never happened and working already more than a year.
This problem also appears in iPhone 4 and iPad 2 on the same Apple id I have iPhone and same version id of the fault doesn't exist and thought at first it was a sugary but all applications are deleted almost everything and the problem still exists.

If you have any questions, ideas I would love to hear from you.
English is not my speech but my second language.
All I write is translation so if there is anything you don't understand, sorry in advance.
If there is a mistake in translation, please correct me so I can learn from my mistakes.
Thank you all.

• Is there any feature in Endeca to support the natural language search ?

I am looking to evaluate Endeca for implementing search for a help-center kind of a site where there are list of questions and answers available and the requirement is to provide a search for this content. The guest user can type in question or some search terms in the box to get the right question and ultimately the answer to the question.
However; what I see from the basic tests is that there will be demand of natural language search for verbal matching. I understand that some part of this feature is supported by stemming in Endeca but that dictionary is not the complete list. It will not be a scalable solution to have business update this word forms in the stemming dictionary time and again for such requirement.
Are there any thoughts on the above problem ? What can be the possible ways to move ahead ?
Thanks,
Nit

Here's a few tips:
- First, Endeca doesn't do natural language processing. It is very literal with the words that are entered and matched.
- By default, the MDEX limits the number of search terms to 10 by default. Meaning if you entered 11 or more terms, terms #11 and so-forth would be ignored.
- You can increase this by setting the --search_max flag (typically configured in the <dgraph-defaults> section of your appConfig.xml
- Now, you can increase this to be quite large (say 200 terms). Then, when a customer enters in their problem description, it won't ignore terms.
- Use the "Match Any" match mode. Now, this might give you a lot of search results, but that goes to my next point.
- Use the NTerms match mode as your first relevancy ranking module. This will order the results based on the number of terms
- Make sure you have a good set of "Stop Words", like "the a and it was is of", etc.
So now what will happen is that the customer will enter their problem, and you'll submit the whole thing to the mdex. The MDEX will throw out the stop words, and then order the results based on the number of terms that matched.
Some other relevancy modules to think about:
- WFreq / Weighted Frequency. This counts the frequency of words that are more important.
- Stay away from Phrase and Exact. They'll almost certainly be too slow.
- Use a Static module based on the view count of an article, so that more popular articles will show up first.
You might also want to turn off these MDEX features:
--wb_noibrk    Disables word-break insertion analysis.
--wb_norbrk    Disables word-break removal analysis.
If you're going to submit big sets of search terms, those features will probably be too slow.

• [Gedit] Hebrew language support [solved]

I am wondering from where Gedit takes the Hebrew language support on my system.
I do not have any Hebrew language pack installed:

• HT1824 Since I accidentally clicked on the wrong language, I don't know what my IPOD Nano is telling me to do/not to do. I'm hitting the home button and nothing is happening.

Hello,
Bought a Nano today and trying to set it up. Selected the wrong language. I am not sure if I'm getting the "eject before disconnecting message" and I'm not sure what to do next!

Hello sheri85,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information, take a look at:
iPod: Changing the display language
http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1824
If you have an iPod nano or Fifth Generation iPod (iPod with video):
Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it.
Scroll up one menu item. This should be Settings.
Press the Center (Select) button. This takes you to the Settings menu.
Scroll down to the last menu option but don't select it; in English, this is the "Reset All Settings" option.
Scroll up to the third menu item from the bottom one. This should be Language.
Press the Center button to select Language.
Select your preferred language from the list.
Have a nice day,

• How can I modify the new Hebrew language icon (א) to revert back to the Israeli Flag ?

The Hebrew language icon in Mac has always been , at least for the last 20 years! However, in Yosemite, it's now א. How can I modify the icon? There must be a library of images somewhere in the System, where I can replace the icon...
Thanks for your help!

The DOM Inspector (DOMi) has a menu item (Edit > Select Element By Click) and a toolbar button "Find a node to inspect by clicking on it" (left icon on the toolbar in the DOMi).
* open the browser window in the DOMi (File > Inspect Chrome Document) and choose the first entry from the drop-down list.
* click the "Find a node to inspect by clicking on it" button and use the keyboard (Alt Tab) or the Task bar to go back to the browser window (do not click in the browser window other than the title bar).
* click that element with the mouse and keep the button pressed until you see a red border to indicate the the DOMi has located that element in the DOM tree.

• How to include the hebrew languare in the Oracle Data?

Hi All,
I'm using this code in nls_lang value in the registry to include Arabic and English languages in the data:
AMERICAN_AMERICA.AR8MSWIN1256
but how to include the hebrew language to be used in the data also Plz?
Note: I'm using Oracle DB 10g R2

Your database character set (SELECT value FROM nls_database_parameters WHERE parameter='NLS_CHARACTERSET') must be AL32UTF8 to support both Arabic and Hebrew. The client must be Unicode-enabled to enter both languages simultaneously.

• Internationalization for Hebrew language

hi,
I made an application, internationalized to be used with some different languages.
Til now I internationalized it only for languages that have Latin letters (ISO/IEC 10646-1)
and in this way it is working fine...
Recently I had a request to put it in Hebrew language, that doesn't use Latin characters.
Reading the documentation, I implemented the localization for the Hebrew language in the
follow way:
Someone wrote the words in Hebrew characters inside a property file (file_iw_IL.properties) ,
afterwards I transformed the Hebrew characters in the UTF-16 mode "\uxxxx", using the
native2ascii tool that come with jdk ....
But when the application for the Hebrew language run, it didn't work...
I should like to know if the procedure that I did for Hebrew
internationalization is right and, if is not, I would like to know what is the right precedure
to make internationalization for languages that don't have Latin characters.
thank you in advance for a kind help
regards

No one answer me so I try again for some help, explain better my problem.
I use this class to get strings in different languages:
public class SupplierOfInternationalizedStrings {
Locale localUsedIt;
Locale localUsedEn;
Locale localUsedHe;
Locale localizedCurrencyFormat;
Locale localUsedHere;
public SupplierOfInternationalizedStrings() { // constructor
localUsedIt = new Locale("it", "IT"); // specifica il file appartenente alla famiglia
localUsedEn = new Locale("en", "US"); // specifica il file appartenente alla famiglia
localUsedHe = new Locale("he", "HE"); // specifica il file appartenente alla famiglia
} // constructor
void setInternationalizationCountry(String langToUse) {
if (langToUse.compareToIgnoreCase("Italiano") == 0) {
localUsedHere = localUsedIt;
localizedCurrencyFormat = new Locale("it", "IT");
} else if (langToUse.compareToIgnoreCase("English")  == 0) {
localUsedHere = localUsedEn;
localizedCurrencyFormat = new Locale("iw", "IL");
} else if (langToUse.compareToIgnoreCase("Hebrew")== 0) {
localUsedHere = localUsedHe;
localizedCurrencyFormat = new Locale("iw", "IL");
System.out.println("linguaggio impostato = " + localUsedHere);
} // initializeInternationalization()
public String getInternationalString(String keyForTheWord) {
ResourceBundle resourceBund = ResourceBundle.getBundle("properiesFile", // il nome del file .properties... la famiglia dei files
localUsedHere);
String word = resourceBund.getString(keyForTheWord);
return word;
} // getStringForMedidentStartClass()
} // class SupplierOfInternationalizedStringsOf course I have a file.property iw_IL - Hebrew (Israel) where for each key there is a value wrote with hebrew characters
the hebrew file property look in this way:
keyForLabel1= ה עברית מילה שתימ

keyForLabel2=ספה עברית מילה שתימ The class SupplierOfInternationalizedStrings works for the translation in english and in other languages that use latins letters ..,
but when it is setted for be used with the Hebrew language ( localUsedHere = localUsedHe)
the metod getInternationalString() don't return Hebrew words.
This didn't worry me, because I read in the documentation that properies file cannot
read characters that are different from latine... and I also learned that in this case it need to convert the letters
in Unicode format...
I made this work putting the hebrew words in an .rtf file and, using native2ascii utility
with the command native2ascii -encoding UTF8 file.rtf textdoc.txt, I got the unicode format.
Now the file property for Hebrew language looks in this way:
keyForLabel1     =       Ô  âÑèÙê...
keyForLabel2 = áäÔ âÑ.....At this point I expected the translation in Hebrew comes good... but instead I still I cannot get the Hebrew words..
I should like to know why the elaboration still doesn't works
and I would have too some help in order to do the program works good.
thank you
regards

• Captivate displays hebrew language backwards

I imported a PPT into captivate that has Hebrew language. When in PPT in the Hebrew language displays correctly. When in Captivate, it displays backwards.
What can I do to resolve this?

I don't think there is a resolution for this at present.
You should log an enhancement request so that this gets addressed in Cp6.

• Office 2013 Hebrew Language pack wont install

Hi,
I installed office 2013 (English) and am trying to install the Hebrew language pack.
The first time i did it, the installer started and then crashed. Now when i try to install the language pack it says" this program requires windows
7 or newer version" while i obviously have win 7 because i installed office 2013.
I run win7 & use x32 office version. What can i do?
Thanks,
Danny

Hi,
Since your Office is 32 bits, please first check which version of language pack you are trying to install, 32 or 64 bits.
Please install all patches to make your Windows up to date, then try the installation again. You might also try to download a new language pack file and try again.
If the issue presists, I would suggest to repair Office and check behavior, the first installation of this language pack might corrupt some files. Here is the steps on how to repair Office:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/repair-office-programs-HA010357402.aspx
Hope this helps, and feel free to post back with any findings.
