Ipod sync with mac mini

I have a mac mini runnung 10.4.7 and would like to know if I can run my 20G click wheel ipod AND my 8G Nano from the same profile on iTunes with out getting errors???
Any help/Info would be great...

There are a few ways to connect your two iPods to a single library. You can choose the update option "automatically update selected playlists only" (Sync Music - Selected playlists in iTunes 7) for the Nano. This would allow you to create a playlist specifically for the Nano and drag the tracks you want into it. If you tire of the list and want to change it, you just add or remove the songs you don't want. The ones you take out out remain in the library to be used by the other larger iPod. Make your playlist a Smart playlist and limit the size to just below the advertised capacity of your iPod Nano (around 3700MB for a 4GB or 1800MB for a 2GB). Problem : IPad Mini connects to iTunes OK, can be seen in iTunes and I can select which movies to sync to it etc. When I hit the "apply" button after making a change (ie deleting or adding a movie) the sync lasts just a second then the "sync" button remains greyed out, and I can't make them sync.

Use iPod speaker with mac mini

I've inherited a legacy system. I would like to have the sound I'm playing on my mac mini come out of the Brookstone speaker I have for my iPod.
Yes, the Brookston is connected to my Mac mini.

If the Brookstone speakers are bluetooth then just pair them with the Mini and select output to the speakers.
You may have to reset/unpair the speakers from the iPod first.

When my old PC died at Christmas I chose to replace it with a MacBook. I have transferred all my music onto my new Mac, but all of the .wmp files, of course, won't play in itunes. I thought I could use my IPOD as a hard disc to save all these songs, take them to my PC at work and upload them into itunes, which will automatically convert them into workable files (.avi?). I could then resave them in this new format on my IPOD, and then upload them back onto my Mac. Will this work??? Can an Ipod be used interchangeably with a Mac and a PC?

Yes, when the iPod is formatted for the PC. Note that the Windows version of iTunes will not convert protected WMA content.

The songs do play OK in iTunes on the computer, right?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Unsync all music and resync
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

and now Iphone 4 won't sync. I used migration assistant to transfer my settings and I can plug the iphone into the new mac mini and it will charge but it won't show up in itunes or sync or appear on the desktop. Try going to the top bar in iTunes, Store and Authorize this computer if you have not. You'll want to deauthorize the MBP before selling it.
Not sure this will solve your problem, though.

How can I fix a recent failure of iPad calendar to synch with Mac mini? iTunes no longer saks me about ocnflicts between the iPad and the computer.

While waiting, I found the fix in another thread:
Open iSync on main computer with iPad attached and turned on.
Choose "Reset sync history".
That is all there is to it. The "Sync" still did not recognize two events scheduled for the same time, one in one sub-calendar on the iPad, and in another one on the Mac Mini. I wound up with two choir practices, one in blue and one in pink on both devices. Should it have noticed these and asked me about them?
I also read elsewhere that it messes up the iPad to change an event from one calendar sub-heading to another. I will avoid doing that in the future.

I am not sure about everything, but there is something that may fix some of your problems. Go to System Preferences, and choose the "Universal Access" preference pane. In Universal Access, turn off VoiceOver, Zoom (seeing tab), Sticky Keys, Slow Keys (Keyboard tab), and Mouse Keys (Mouse tab). Make sure the "Enable access for assistive devices" checkbox, which is at the bottom of the preference pane. From there, look at other options and see if they are things you want turned off, or changed from how they are set. If you don't know what different options do, click on the help icon at the bottom left corner of the window. And if you are still baffled, ask here and someone will tell you what it does.
If you use any of the universal access options or think they could be useful, feel free to leave them on.
Also, go to the Keyboard and Mouse preference pane, choose the Keyboard Shortcuts tab, and make sure there are no strange keyboard shortcuts set that may interfere with the keys you are having issues with.
Did you install any new software before this started happening, and if so, how many days before it started happening?
Let us know if these tips get you anywhere.
