IPod Syncing Gets Interrupted and iPod Freezes
Help me out...
So when I sync my iPod with my PC, iTunes recognizes the iPod and starts to update. I recently downloaded the new version of iPod software and then I went to update my iPod and it would start for a little bit but then it froze. A pop-up came up saying that the file is missing for updating the iPod or something like that. So I reset my iPod and restarted my computer and made sure everything was running smoothly. Tried it again. Same thing happened. Anyone else experiencing this problem and want to help me fix this? Is there something wrong with the new iPod update or do you guys think that my iPod is broken? What should I do? My iPod is only a year old. If they die that fast, well that's pretty lame.

(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):

(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -

I Synced two laptops, mostly to transfer several tab groups open in one to the other. While the Sync was in progress, the Options window started to vibrate. After a while, I closed the window and then Firefox. After restarting Firefox, I found that only a few tabs and little of the history had been transferred. I clicked the Sync Now button, on both devices, but nothing further has happened so far.
iPod touches or any iDevices from Apple sync only to one computer. If you sync to a different computer, all your music will be replace with the music from the new computer's iTunes. If the music were purchased from iTunes, you can re-download them again otherwise the music on iPod touch will be deleted. Do you have iTunes backup?

"Upgraded" to OS4 software, now I can't sync my music and iTunes freezes.
I would tell you what the error says, but iTunes is frozen and won't open. I know it's trying to copy a m4v file or something like that. It's the album artwork.
So now I have a seemingly slower software update and no music on my phone that is literally falling apart.

Sound is out of sync in iMovie and video freezes at a part but audio continues. How do i fix this???
Can someone please help me. I have even tried the youtube videos and can't seem to get the sound to sync up on my videos in Imovie. Also, one part just stalls and stays on the same frame but the audio continues on fine.
I NEED HELP!!! This is for school and I can't hand this in all wacked out44100 Hz is fine and the audio codec is fine. Most camcorders record at 48000 Hz, but audio CDs are recorded are 44100 Hz, and iMovie handles them well.
However, your video frame rate is an odd number. A camcorder in the US will usually record at 29.97 frames per second. In Europe, the standard is 25 fps. On some cameras, you also have the option of 24 fps (same as a Hollywood movie).
Your camera is recording at 14.89, which is about half of the 29.97 standard. I am guessing that the video is from a webcam or maybe a cell phone or still camera. It is difficult to sync audio over long periods of time if your video is not conforming to the standards. Cameras like this may record at varioable rates, so sometimes you get more than 14.89 and sometimes less. Your best bet would be to make an iMovie project at 29.97 fps, so that it will basically repeat each frame of your video twice to get up to 29.78 fps. Even so, it will drift out of sync over time.
If you had Final Cut Pro X, you could use the tools in FCP to conform your video and audio to a 29.97 timeline and probably keep it synced better. Long term, your best bet is to use a camcorder that can shoot 29.97 (or 30) fps.
Short term, I would suggest keeping your clips in your project short. For your 15 minute clip, drag in the first minute, then the 2nd minute, etc. untill you have it all. Even so, it may drift. Detaching audio is probably not necessary. -
I have a computer with Windows 8.1 installed. I thought that was the problem, but I've seen others write that they had no problem installing Forefox with 8.1. I've been trying to download Firefox from Chrome, and while I can manage to download just fine, installation will take for ever and then stop completely saying it has been interrupted. Avast! will then scan the file, say it's fine and ask if I want to try again, but a popup will appear saying that the file is corrupted and cannot be extracted. After several failed attempts, I tried from Internet Explorer, but with even less luck. Firefox wouldn't even download, and something called Windows Smartscreen kept popping up saying it had prevented the app from running. I would tell it to run anyway, but I'd only get another popup saying that this app could not be run on this computer.

There are a LOT of different Hauppauge video capture products on the market. Analog tuners without any MPEG encoder (getting VERY rare), analog tuners with MPEG-2 hardware encoders, digital (ATSC/QAM) tuners, the HD-PVR realtime high definition AVC encoder.
What video chipset does your existing machine have? What software package are you using?
Realtime encoding of analog video from raw capture cards (the very lowest end of Hauppauge's range) needs a LOT of CPU, although a quadcore should be able to do the trick.
Standard definition MPEG-2 can be decoded in realtime with ease by any dual or quad core machine. Basically if it can play DVDs, it can play back MPEG-2 recordings of analog TV.
High definition MPEG-2 (from their ATSC/QAM tuners) requires a bit more oomph, but any quadcore system should be able to play it back without much trouble. Most video chipsets can fully or partially offload MPEG-2 also.
High definition MPEG-4 AVC (aka H.264) from the HD-PVR 1212 pretty much requires a video chipset that provides acceleration of AVC decoding.

Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed, as well as some other aspects of the configuration that may be related to the problem.
Don’t be alarmed by the seeming complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out. Here's a brief summary: In each of two steps, you copy a line of text from this web page into a window in another application. You wait about a minute. Then you paste some other text, which will have been copied automatically, back into a reply on this page. The sequence is copy; paste; paste again. That's all there is to it. Details follow.
You may have started the computer in "safe" mode. Preferably, these steps should be taken while booted in “normal” mode. If the system is now running in safe mode and is bootable in normal mode, reboot as usual. If it only boots in safe mode, use that.
Below are instructions to enter UNIX shell commands. They do nothing but produce human-readable output. However, you need to think carefully before running any program at the behest of a stranger on a public message board. If you question the safety of the procedure suggested here — which you should — search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects. The commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single long line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it.
If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
The command may take up to a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. Wait for the line "Step 1 done" to appear below what you entered. The output of the command will beautomatically copied to the Clipboard. All you have to do is paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-Vagain. Please don't copy anything from the Terminal window. No typing is involved in this step.

This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which you do have to type. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type it carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Heed that warning, but don't post it. So basically my computer has been freezing a lot since I updated to Mavericks. Is that just an issue with the system or probably with my laptop?
My computer is fairly new( got it in August) and I haven't downloaded much on it. Is Apple planning on releasing an update soon? Also, what should I do toSo how much RAM do you have installed? 4 GB is generally considered a minimum - more is much better (such as 8 GB).
And, how much free space is on your hard drive? -

I recently had a hard drive crash on my XP computer. I had my library backed up, so after I re-installed iTunes I just moved the library over from the saved disk to the new hard drive. It worked fine for a few days, and then I started getting this message:
"Itunes cannot sync photos to the iPhone because you don't have write access to the folder iPhotos."
I actually don't want to sync photos at all, that option is not selected in my itunes. I just want to sync music and podcasts!
Because of this problem, each time I try to sync it gets interrupted and I can't move any new data to the iPhone.
Any help you can offer will be deeply appreciated!I noticed when the sync started that I got a message saying that itunes could not find the iphotos folder. Perhaps this is related?
Quite possibly.
Connect the iPhone to iTunes and go into the photos settings pane. Is it currently set up to sync to an iPhoto folder (even though you're not actually trying to sync photos)? -

Purchased the 10.8.2 on the 18/02 ,after 4 trys I get interrupted and have to start all over again the fact that I am on prepaid and have used 8 GB and the connection is slow any suggestion anyone

Impedance Analyzer Sweep Getting Interrupted
Hi Everyone,
I am working on a LabView program for an impedance analyzer which finds a peak and records data around the frequency the peak is located at. While collecting data about a certain peak it is also designed to continue tracking that peak because the peak is not constant.
This program works in LabView Version 7, but this is not the case in Version 8.5. In 8.5, it looks like that the program begins sweeping (the little cursor on the display begins moving across the display) but gets interrupted and stops sweeping. This does not prevent the program from recording data - data is definitely being recorded. However, what this prevents us from doing is tracking the peak; eventually, the peak drifts off the span of the impedance analyzer and any data we collect is useless.Something I've noticed is that if I put LabView in "highlight execution" mode, the program works perfectly fine - no more interruptions! I'm not sure what is interrupting the sweep in normal mode - I'm relatively new to
LabView and attempted to use a WAITSRQ VI to remove any interruptions,
but this just ends up timing out.
While I have attempted tackling the problem from a programming point of view, the fact that this program works in version 7 but not 8.5 seems to indicate that it might not be a programming issue but rather something with the versions.
I have attached two files that may be helpful for anyone that looks at the problem. Mainly the problem is occuring when the control goes to the "Agilent4294APeakTracker_twochannel" file.The main file is the 4395A_no_curve_fit.vi file. If you have any questions about the program or anything I've been unclear about, please feel free to ask!

Agilent4294APeakTracker_twochannel.vi 38 KBRemember that this is all for your own good. I am surprised this program ever worked correctly. Dataflow, dataflow, dataflow. The sequence structures you are using perform no function. There is no coordination between your sub-vi and the main VI. Your are sending commands from both VI's with no flow of the timing. Review dataflow programming and clean up the VI, then you will be able to troubleshoot.

IPod doesn't sync right and iPod freezes
I personally have an 80gig, and love it so far (I've only had it for about a week). Before that I had an iPod nano 2nd gen that died, but thankfully I had the Best Buy replacement plan on it and I got to replace it free!
But my issue is with my mom's ipod. Its an ipod nano 3rd gen and when I add new music to her iTunes, and then sync her iPod, it doesn't put them on her iPod. Today she got to work and went to listen to them, and was really disappointed, because I'd spent quite a while downloading yesterday and then they weren't there. I just synced it again, and they are there now, but this isn't the first time it has happened. Whats up with this, it shouldn't be happening.
It also freezes every couple of times its used and about every other time I disconnect it from the computer.
Is anyone else having these problems? Have you found any solutions?
Apple, what are you doing about this, this is the 2nd iPod nano (different gen's) that we've had alot of trouble with, you need to step it up and get them working properly!

When I got my Ipod Touch 3 years ago, my mum set up an Apple ID in her name & email address. I have since got an Ipad & set up my own Apple ID. How can I update my Ipod to my Apple ID? I would like to sync the Ipad and Ipod, but cant get past this ID problem?
