Ipod takes many times to sync one item

I tell me ipod touch to sync so that I can have a either a new song or a new app, and it won't go on there. I click sync for the second time and it's still not there. After about the 4th or 5th time the item will finally be on there. I have restored it more than 10 times and it still does it! PLEASE HELP!!!!

I have the latest itunes on my computer the 10.1.1
I can wait a hour and it still won't be on there and i have to sync it many tims
I am thinking about taking it back to the store because it also crashes a lot

Just bought an Ipad Mini for the specific purpose of viewing BIG pdf files for old books written in the 1800's. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!
540 pages and after 1 hour to download, I still have to wait 30 seconds for 1 page to load after I turn the page.
This is not efficient COMPUTER programming and the Apple programming guys really need to be employed from post graduate stock. The Computer '101' guys are obviously not into the mentality of what we the users need.
For anyone buying an Ipad Mini, I would strongly suggest holding back until Apple can reinvent the wheel. Galaxy is probably a better option until we get another Steve Jobs.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

How do I sync one item at a time?

I recently got a refurbished iphone 4. I had to reset it as a new phone to get rid of a previous passcode setting on the applications store. But I had already synced it. Now I would like to restore my contacts, photos, music, messsages, etc. without restoring the passcode setting on the appstore. How do I restore my contacts? There are some there, but they are not all there.

I have since figured out that the passcode restriction was my fault leftover from my prior phone, I lost it several months ago and do not remember setting the restrictions passcode, but it is possible as I have a 6 year old that I didn't want downloading apps.
I managed to follow the directions to backup my phone, and restore the phone as a new phone and the passcode restriction problem goes away, so then the problem is restoring the other "stuff" without using the whole backup file because then the passcode comes back on too. When I tried to do this, I got the contacts from my outlook account and not the contacts from my phone, as I had kept these separate. so I guess I may need to back up my phone contacts somehow differently and then go through the reset as a new phone, and restore process again? I haven't had any problems restoring photos or music, just contacts, messages, phone-related stuff that I would prefer not to lose.

Ipod takes tooo long to sync

my ipod touch 5 gen is taking so long to sync, it usualy goes really fast, but now its just stuck on step 8out of 8 ' waiting for changes to apply'. i deleted and reinstalled itunes but nothing. my laptop charger is also broken, so the battery ran out before it could finish syncing, so i have to get a new charger to see how long it actualy takes... any suggestions?

sadly it didnt help, i got my new laptop charger, and its been like 2 hours syncing now BUT after like 30 min the it started going through all my songs on the progress bar, which it DIDNT do before but it was after a half hour, and i didnt wait that long the previous times. but now its stuck on step 8 of 8 waiting to COPY ITEMS, and above that it says copying artwork ( im asuming album covers). i went through my ipod tho and a bunch of songs that stopped working are back playing, and my videos are back on. its still, this sync time is rdicuous

hello people I am facing a problem with my 80 Gb video ipod, I recently loaded some 15,000 songs in my ipod after which i have noticed the following :
When I browse to ipod>music>songs to the entire collection of songs I have and select a song to play, it takes around 50 secs before my ipod starts playing the selected song till then it just waits and shows the song which i have selected. I have noticed similar kind of behavior when I use the "shuffle songs" option, but things work fine when I go to a created play list and use it to play songs. Tough when i go to long play lists (as long as 2000 songs !) it takes time. Is there something wrong with my ipod ? kindly suggest what to do ........ i feel very frustrated.

Wat exactly do u mean by back up ?? ......... as in frm my ipod or the existing library ?
It is always smart to burn your entire music library (that's stored on your computer) to DVD or CD. That way, you won't lose the hours and hours you spent importing all your CDs and tweaking your data. One of the easiest ways to do this is to create a playlist and drag everything into it. Then burn the playlist to disc. This won't save the playlists however, just the files. If you have other backup software you could backup the entire "My Music" directory.

IPod takes screenshot while only pressing one button

About 2 weeks ago the power button on my iPod touch 4g broke. I went to the apple store and got a new iPod. It works fine, except for one pretty annoying error.
It randomly starts taking screenshots when pressing either the Power- OR the Home-button, NOT BOTH. This means that I cant turn the iPod off cause it takes a screenshot and I also cant go to the home screen because pressing the Home button also takes a screenshot.
Does someone else knows this problem and knows how wo fix it? Any help is appreciated.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings

I just measure that time on my 4G and it took 35-40 seconds. Your time seems comparable with my time. I myself would not be concerned.

Iphone takes LONG time to sync with iTunes?

I have and Iphone 3G with 8GB pretty much stuffed, I have only 200MB free and 1000 audio, 50 podcast video, 60 photo and TONS of apps..
I just check how long it would take to sync with my PC yeasterday... 10 hours... is that normal for a backup and sync? how can I speed up the process?

I'm having the same problem. It's definitely the backup portion. I located my backup folder, and it had over 20k files! I tried deleting the folder and backing up again, and have yet to complete a full backup (they're just too long - I'm constantly having to stop the process to take the phone with me). The latest one was 2 hours and only half done (with 8k files in the folder). I did have facebook and linkedin on the phone, so I've removed those and restarted the backup. It doesn't seem much different so far, but I think I may leave it overnight to see what happens. Could it be that the files (like caches or whatever) used by facebook and linkedin are still on the iphone even w/o the apps? How can I clean up my iphone w/o resetting it completely (I don't want to lose the data on there and I don't currently have a complete backup - though maybe after tonight I will).
Any other apps you know of that have this issue? I can't believe Apple just lets this type of sloppy file management occur.

Takes many time to download small attachment

When using download option "Headers Plus", attachments are not downloaded by default. So far so good. When I receive a small (<80Kb) attachment (*.doc). I can enable option "download" for this attachment. When I subsequently sync my nokia e71 with my remote mail account (gmail) the attachment is still not downlo aded. Ony after quite some time (5-10 minutes) the attachment is downloaded and it can be opened. Same thing for a very smal *gif attachment. Is this normal behavior?
By the way, I would prefer downloading small attachments always. Maybe a nice improvement for an upcoming release of messaging?

That's the limitation of the default e-mail app. This is done for security reasons. Try Profimail for a change.
