Ipod to car radio

I have new a Eclipse cd3000 car radio with an ipod adapter, 1pc106. When the radio was first installed it interfaced perfectly with my ipod. Now I have lost the ability to select playlist > albums. I tried to putting in the software again, I have tried all sorts of things, but the radio won't read the ipod like it did before. I don't think this is an ipod problem becauses every once in awhile it works.
Any suggestions?

Recently, I got a new car. A Seat Leon with a radio/MP3/Navigation system. The system is the exact same one used in VolksWagens (IIRC the manufacturer is BlauPunkt).
Since I'm taking a long trip from Holland to Denmark soon, and I don't want to listen to the German 'Rundfunk', I decided to replace my old iPOD (it got very sick. Its HD went 'click' all the time, which can't be good)) with a new iPOD 30 GB.
This morning I stepped into my car, excited like a kid in a candystore, and hooked up the USB cable to the USB port of my car. Then I plugged in the iPOD, which told me to not disconnect. SCORE! Or not?
The iPOD realises it is connected, and starts charging. It also pretends to be playing, but my radio won't recognise it. Anyone have any experience like this? The dealer I bought the car at recommended me to RTFM and configure the radio for AUX, but I don't think there's such a thing, and they are closed now, so I cannot even yell at them now.
Anyone at all? whimpers

Having a USB port is not all you need. It's just one piece.
Is the car radio 'iPod Ready'?
The radio needs to be aware that it is an iPod connected to it, and not just some USB storage device which has MP3 files on it.

Your radio has to be on the same station as your wireless adaptor. If they are on the same station, try a different one. The ones that work best for me are the ones that are usually just static, like the 88s on FM Radio. If none of this works then something is probably wrong. Check your connections and battery also. There may be a software you need to install on your iPod.

Connecting iPod to car radio - USA-Spec

Just installed the USA-Spec adapter to connect my iPod to the factory radio in my Toyota via the CD changer (no factory iPod connector). This is by far the best sounding and most elegant solution I have found - since it's a direct connection and there are no wires showing.
There seems to be an issue with the pause/play on the iPod sometimes getting out of sync with the radio. When you turn the radio off the iPod goes on and visa versa.
Could really use some insight for resolving this - before it drains my car battery.

Contact the car manufacturer. Find out if it is compatible with your model iPod Nono. You must be specific as which model you have in order to receive the correct information from the car manufacturer.

I get "Reading Error" when using USB connection from Ipod Touch to car radio. Any ideas?

Yes, get an iFM transitter from eBay or Amazon.
Search for Griffin or Monster or just iPod Classic FM transmitter and charger, they are inexpensive less than US$30.
Get one with charger or else you iPod might run out of battery faster.

TS1425 iPod nano - loses functionality when connected to car radio

For the past week, when I connect my iPod nano (4th generation) to a car radio (and I've tried it in several) it brings up a splash screen of the radio manufacturer which stays on the iPod screen and prevents any further access to the iPod functionality. This only happens when connected to a car radio, otherwise the iPod functions normally. So in effect, the iPod is unusable when connected to the car radio, which is where I do most of my listening. Anyone know how to help eliminate this problem?

It sounds like a battery issue to me. When you connect it to the PC it draws power from the computer and thus it is able to function. Apparently it doesn't have enough of its own juice anymore. You probably just need a new battery.

IPod classic connected to car radio

I have a new iPod classic and à brand new Renault Megane. When I connect my iPod to my car radio by using a auxiliary cable, I only get sound out of the left speakers. Does someone know how to solve this problem?

Is the cable plugged into the headphone socket of your iPod?
If it is, and the the sound plays through both left and right when you use headphones, that suggests that there is something wrong with the auxilary cable or where it's plugged into.

i have 2 ipods ,one is one of the first ones made,wich i have played on my car radio ,just plug in the cable that charges ,and away,the second is a 3rd gen ipod nano,when i plug this into my car stereo jack it just says you must eject before disconnecting ,then the radio comes on and the ipod is at its normal screen,but cannot play thru car stereo,what can be wrong ?

are you sure you plugged it into the stereo jack??? because the ipod sees no difference in headphones and a car aux stereo jack to a car .... sounds like you are using something that plugs into a car lighter port... what device are you using to connect the ipod to your car?

You can buy something like this Belkin Cable here, which I use, and plug it into your car's Aux port if it has one. They can also be found in most electronics stores.
If your car doesn't have an Auxillary port, you can buy something like the Griffin iTrip, which allows you to set your iPod to transmit on a specific FM frequency, and you can just tune your car to that station. You can find that anywhere electronics are sold.

If the car has an AUX IN you can use a cable between the iPOd's headphone jack and the AUX IN.
If the car has an FM radio yo can purchase a FM transmitter for the iPod. Some connect to headphone jack and some to the dock connector

Further to a previous question. Have recently purchased an Ipod touch and have been told it can play through an FM frequency on my car radio which does not have an aux jack. Can anyone tell me how to set the Ipod to do this and which FM frequency

Have you reset the car system?
Did it happen after an iOS update?
Do other iOS devices still play?
Try:

IPod touch 2G does't work with Kenwood car radio anymore

Hi
since a few days ago, my iPod touch 2G does not work anymore with my car radio Kenwood KDC-W4544U.
When i connect the iPod to the radio, the radio display shows "Reading", which it normally shows for like 5 seconds. But now the "Reading" lasts forever, after 10 minutes of trying to let my radio read the iPod, i have no other possibility but listen to CD or radio...
I have already shut down and restarted the iPod, synched it, even restored it via iTunes. I also tried three different connection cables.
Is this a known problem and is there maybe a solution?
