Ipod to Itunes download??

Help!
I have just re booted my PC, which runs on windows XP. I have installed iTunes, but I don't know how to get the 2500 songs from my ipod back to iTunes, I am worried about losing the lot!!
Any ideas would be appreciated!!

To get your songs back from your iPod to your iTunes a ripping tool is needed, for Windows try:

This application will allow you copy songs from your iPod to your computer. Hope this helps.

Have a Macbook Pro and a 4th gen iPod Touch. Downloaded and install iOS 4.3.2 yesterday. Upgrade went without a hitch, but now iTunes on My Macbook Pro will not open. I get an error that says --The file "iTunes Library" cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes--. I am running iTunes 10.1. I searched for Updates to my MacBook Pro (running 10.6.7), but comes back saying no updates available. WHAT IS GOING ON??
Is your computer still authorized in the Store menu in iTunes?

When I changed to my new MacBookPro I had to authorize it although I used TimeMachine to transfer my settings and data.
Did you try to deselect Wi-Fi syncing and enable it again after that?

How do I download my music from my iPod to iTunes? Have a new computer. The old one crashed.
If your music collection was purchased from iTunes, you are in a good shape since that music is forever yours under your iTunes account. Therefore, after installing iTunes on your new computer, sign into your account and see all your music under "Purchsed". Then simply download it to be phisically present onto your computer (for free since you've already paid for it). On the other hand if you happens to not be a sucker to waist money on iTunes and your collection was ripped from the internet (via torrents and such), you can follow this guide to transfer the iPod music back to computer. i just got an ipod touch and downloaded itunes. when i plug my ipod into my computer itunes doesnt read my ipod. i looked it up in 'help' in itunes and it said if itunes doesnt read your device to click on 'device' and hit add. but i dont see a 'device' button anywhere. can anybody help m eplease?

ITunes to iPod (5th Gen) download problems
Problem encoutered: "Attempting to copy disk to iPod failed.The disk could not be read from or written to."
This is the messaged I've received in trying to download my current iTunes library to my new 5th Gen iPod.
I have found it I remove the last song that iTunes attempted to download to the iPod; the the downloading continues. BUT, it occured again with another totally different song.
What is going on here? Has this occured with any one else?
Lastly, I did call Apple. We did a restore and downloaded the lastest iPod software.I posted this in another forum.

I have successfully figured out what needs to be done in order to get your iPod syncing properly.
What you will need for this it another hard drive or computer (running OS X)
You can either set a hard drive (like one of the previous iPods with OS X installed on it) as the startup disk in System Preferences.
OR
There's another option for you if you have another Mac..
What you'll need to do is start the one you need to repair (that you sync your Pod from) in "target disk mode" which is done by restarting the computer and holding the "T" button.
This puts your computer into Firewire mode, and makes your computer an external hard drive for another computer to view.
You will also need a 6pin-6pin Firewire cord - to connect the 2 computers.
Once you have the main computer up as a disk image on your other desktop, open disk utility and click the Repair disk option.
I did this and it said the drive could not be repaired, and I ran it again and it fixed it the second time, so that might happen to you too.
I know this seems like a lot to do to get your computer working with your iPod, but it definitely works.
If you don't have another computer, and (as most of you seem to) have a portable like a powerbook or an ibook, just bring it to an apple store and I'm sure they'll gladly help."

i have over 5000 songs on my computer. Which is from songs bought from iTunes and from cd. i had all the songs on my iPod. went to download new songs and only 1500 songs are download . please help
Since all of your music came from your computer in the first place, then it should still be there and should be included in your backup copy of your computer.

You can sync as many ipods/iphones/ipads as you like to one one library. -
I downloaded the latest version of itunes. Then itunes asked if i wanted the latest version on ipod. Itunes was getting ipod ready then a error happened. Now ipod is locked up with a apple on screen with a download line under it. Also itunes will not recognize ipod like it has before. If anyone can help it would be appreciated. Thanks
Do a hard reset, put it in DFU Mode and do a manual install, as outlined in the link below.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Whenever I try to sync music to my ipod from itunes, it will go through all the steps up until it actually downloads the music, then it starts, and doesnt move. Why wont it download anything?

Not updating the iOS should not effect your problem.
As long as all the apps are in the iTunes library, you will not lose app data by updating the iOS. -
My iPod touch 2nd generation forced a software update to apply to my ipod via itunes. what effect did this update have on my ipod software, as i still cannot download some apps?
I would appreciate your support to help me figure out if this problem is solvable.
The error comes about whilst trying to download certain apps from the app store, including CSR Racing which when i tap on install a message box pops up saying "This App Is Incompatible With This iPod touch", another time for a different app it came up with a message saying "This app requires OpenGL ES 2.0 graphics capability.
Main questions:

Will i need to buy a more recent model of iPod touch if this isnt fixable?

My daughter's friends tried to guess her password on her iPod Touch 4th generation too many times, and now she is locked out, and the iPod displays the message, "iPod is disabled. connect to iTunes." I connected it and tried to restore it. iTunes recognizes the iPod. iTunes said it needed to download an update, although everything on both the iPod and iTunes should be current. The update ran for over 4 hours, but when it ended, nothing else happened. The iPod is still disabled. How can I fix this? Thanks.

1st - itunes downloaded to my ipod albums that are all fractured, compilation albums are seperated.This should not have happened but itunes felt it knew better. I do not like it.

However, if what you actually want to do is to fix/sort out your problem, why no try posting a question on that subject?
For starters - you can re-name the tracks in your iTunes library, so it is possible to correct the changes that you must have made that mean that songs are now "unknown artists and albums." -

Sorry, what I was attempting to clarify was this:
You can rent the movie on your desktop but in order to watch it on your ATV you will have to turn on Home Sharing and download the movie to your desktop, only then will the rented movie appear on your ATV under Home Sharing.
Either this is a flaw in the software or part of a copyright arrangement. If you purchase a movie, then it will appear under Movies > Purchased on the ATV, for some reason rentals do not. If this is software related then it should be fixed at some point. Although the original thread is from over a year ago, the problem persists. Renting on the ATV directly is not optimal since the file is not transferable to any other device, presumably b/c there is no file? But that shouldn't matter. All that should matter is: this Apple ID purchased this item > it should be available on all devices associated w/that Apple ID. -
I have downloaded itunes direct to my pc but despite syncing with my ipod they are not downloading, however itunes downloaded direct to ipod are syncing to pc. Can anyone help please?
What seems to be the problem? Songs are not syncing from your iTunes library on your PC to your Nano? Is this the same computer you have always synced the Nano with or is this a different/new iTunes library?
