IPod to Travel Sound?

It says that my TravelSound speaker system can be used with an Ipod but all input needs a line in cable, which my ipod didnt come with. All I have is a firewire cable for macs and a USB...Where do i get the required line-in able so i can hook my IPod up to the Travel Sound?!

That's just a standard stereo to stereo cable you need, you should be able to buy those in any electronics/hi-fi/computer store, it's a basic cable.
I believe there is normally a cable like that provided in the package with the Travelsound, double-check to see if you already have one.

  • Travel Sound i300 compatibility issues with Compaq Presaio

    Hey,
I bought a Travel Sound i300 last Christmas for an iPod. Recently, I upgraded to a Compaq Presario V2000. The speakers for some reason wont work on the computer. I tried a cheaper set of Phillips and they did, but they weren't powered either. That couldn't be the reason because Creative also has powered laptop speakers.
    Anyone know the problem?

    Hi,
Your PC has a PCI-E version 1.0a slot.  Look for an ATI graphics card that is backwards compatible with a legacy BIOS PC with a PCI-E version 1.0a slot.

Ipod touch 4g - sound comes out one earphone loud and the other softly. I've tried other headphones with same result. is there a fix for this ?

Clean out/blow out the headphone jack. Insert/remove the heaphone plug a dozen times or so
Try the following to rule out a software problem:
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Power off and then back on the router
    - Reset network settings: Settings>GeneralReset>Reset Network Settings
    - iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
    - iOS: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a bad headphone jack

  • IPod Nano losing sound/volume

Has anyone had an issue with their iPod nano losing sound/volume? The device works upon initially booting it up however randomly the sound will instantly and for no reason start to decrease down to where no sound can be heard. This usually occurs when working out so I've wondered if there is a reported issue with the device getting overheated or possibly sweat either getting in the device or shorting out the headphones?

If this is the 7th gen iPod nano, and it is new, make sure the headphones plug is completely inserted into the headphones jack of the iPod.  The fit can be tighter than expected, especially when new.  It should "click" into place, when fully seated.
Your iPod can use headphones with remote control buttons on the cord.  If the plug is partially inserted, you may get audio, but the iPod may get false control signals (such as for volume down) over the connection.
If that's not the problem, try using a different set of headphones to see if this problem still occurs.

  • Do I have stupid ears or do the ipod ear buds sound good?

To my surprise, the standard iPod ear buds sound pretty good. I also own a pair of Shure E2C and the Shure only has more base when the seal is tight. Other than that, they're pretty much like the same. Any thoughts?

Though I cant say I own a pair of $500 earphones. I have to say that I think the ipod earbuds are just great. I have tried a pair of sony in ear earbuds that I hated because they were hard to fit and then there was to much bass. I enjoyed listening to and watching my fav music videos on my new ipod touch I just got today! Gosh this thing is so amazing. There is no comparison for me this is the best ipod I have owned yet.

  • Travel Sound MP3 / Speakers Incompatible XP SP2 Mach

I recently bought a Travel Sound MP3 player; excellent sound for the size and price. As speakers
it works fine connected to my MP3 player. Using a Windows 2000 machine I am able to load music
on it and play songs using it's internal memory. The unit works fine in every respect but one.
On my home PC where my music is with an OS of XP-SP2 upon connection the unit
shows up as a removable disk of size 0. I can not read or write to it. Tried numerous re-installs,
roll backs, USB ports, nothing hel
    ps.
I even tried to change the driver's manually but couldn't get around
the wizard. I'm assuming there's a compatibility issue between the FAT on the unit and the
Windows XP SP2 Disk.sys driver. XP thinks the Device is working fine, but just sees the disk
    size as zero.
I tried with and without the Creative install; only difference is using creative install directs the unit to
driver disk.sys inside the SP_2 cabs while skipping the creative install finds the same driver inside
WINNT\System32. I don't really know what the info files on the creative disk are for, but they don't
affect at the XP's choice of driver for the unit.
I even tried another USB cable, no help -- it has to be the XP SP2 Driver.
Right now I"m really happy with the speakers, only I won't be able to get much use out of the
internal memory if I have to schlep the music on and off my office machine to load it
I Wonder if I could find the registry key and change that directly to reach inside the SP Uninstall
file set and access the older driver.
    Any other ideas? Suggestions?
    Eric

    Travandalex,
With the Sound Blaster USB Go! plugged in, all sound should be handled by the USB device as it should set the default playback device to the Go!. Try doing this:
) Go to Control Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices and click on the Audio Tab (with the Go! turned on)
    2) Make sure that the Go! is selected as the default playback device. Put a checkmark in the "use only default devices" box.
Now the playback should be consistently through either the Audigy or the Go!.

  • I love my music, would love a iPod for this reason but the iPad air sounds really good too. Can i use the iPad air like a iPod for travel (in car).

I love music when I travel, I still have a older mp3 player that I can plug in the car stereo. I listen to various artists, a variety of music. Love to make a big play list for a long road trip.
I'm in the market for a Ipod touch or a ipad air, would I be able to do the same with the Ipod verses Ipad air.
I would use the WiFi for connection.
    Compare for me the differences.
Remember i would want to use it when im out traveling on the road for music.

The wifi-only iPad is basically large iPod touch. There are some aps that are for the iPad only.
The new devices a a Lightning cable vice the older 30-pin connector.
One of these adopters/cables may work:

    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD823ZM/A/lightning-to-30-pin-adapter?fnode=45
However. some car systems and devices are not compatible with the newer iOS devices like the iPad Air

  • Using an iPod when travelling as iTunes Library

    Hi,
My iTunes library is currently an external hard drive, but when I travel with my iBook and iPod, I would love to use my iBook speakers to play my iPod library. I tried naively once just plugging it in a hotel room, but it didn't work. What do I need to do to get it to work?
    Thanks so much,
    Phil

    Phil,
A better solution would be a portable audio system such as the inMotion series by Altec Lansing.

They'll sound a lot better than your iBook speakers.

  • Sad iPod while Traveling

I have read a few of the posts about getting the Sad iPod icon and a clicking sound, but I have a somewhat unique problem. I am currently traveling in South America and I have been uploading pictures from my camera to my 20 GB iPod Color. I have uploaded around 700 pictures so far (over 3 weeks) and a couple of days ago I got the Sad iPod icon while listening to my iPod. I also got the infamous clicking sounds. I know that this means I likely have a bad hard drive.
What I'm wondering is, does anybody have advice on how to save the pictures of my vacation? I'll be in L.A. in a couple of weeks and will then have access to my computer. I will also probably head to one of the Apple stores to see if the Geniuses have any ideas, but I really don't want to loose most of the pictures I took. These are once in a life time pictures (Machu Picu, etc.), so loosing them would be really horrible.
Also, should I try to put my iPod into diagnostic mode and run the HDscan?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am pretty new to this, but from what I have read all that Apple will do is try to fix it. This will most likely mean that all data is lost. Secondly, have you tried to reset the iPod with the hold down the Select and Menu buttons together? If these photos are irreplaceable, then you might look into finding someone who can recover a failed HDD. This will most likely mean that your iPod warranty will be voided. On that note, I would suggest buying a secondary source for backing up your pictures for the rest of the trip. It is a risky thing having only one back up. We did this when I took my family to Disneyland and we saved all of our digital pictures to a laptop that crashed. All was lost. I basically have redundant backups now. I know that hindsight is 20/20, but I think you will need to see if paying $500 to $1000 to recover the photos is worth it (I am guessing what the cost is by corporate charges). I know that this doesn't much help, but maybe someone else has a great fix for you.
