IPod to TV... how?

How do you connect the ipod to the TV? What other items do you have to buy? I have T-vo so can I put the shows on my iPod?

The S-Video Cable can only be connected from the Universal Dock, meaning you need to have the Dock first, then you can connect a S-Video cable and a pair of Audio (red+white) cables from the Dock to a TV.
If you get the Apple iPod AV Cable, which comprises of 3 "ends" i.e. Yellow-Video and Red/White-Audio, then you can directly connect it to the iPod and play your video and your photo slide show from there to your TV

You wouldn't connect the iPod to the iPad for data transfers. Music is stored and shared either through a computer or iCloud.

Try the stamdard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

Are you just trying to deauthorize it from your iTunes account, or do you want to totally erase it?
Your iPod touch is not actually authorized to anything other than the computer you sync it with; it is not authorized with the iTunes store the way your computer is. Giving your iPod to someone else won't give them your store info. Once they plug it into their own iTunes, it will force them to erase the whole thing in order to sync it with their own computer.
If you want to wipe the thing clean before giving it to them, plug it into your computer and choose the option to Restore it. (Or on the device itself, to go Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.)

When the music is all in the same library, sync the Touch.
You will still need to authorize your computer to play purchased music. For that, use the Apple ID that was used to purchase it.
