Ipod Toch 4g won't sync with itunes, running Itunes v.10.2.1, 4.3.1ios

Please just give me a clue! Is anyone else having the same problem as me. Ok, Dell XPS Laptop running windows 7 home premium, 2 Terabyte Drives, 8 Gigs Ram, all windows updates installed, AntiVirus up-to-date, and no new programs installed since buying my ipod touch. I have had it for 2 weeks with no problems at all, then 2 days ago my ipod stopped syncing with itunes. Note: When I installed my ipod I had version 4.3ios and after it stopped syncing I checked my device summary and I noticed my software version was 4.3.1ios. My main two questions are: 1. Is this a problem with 4.3.1? 2. Is there any fix or workaround that anyone might know about? Any answers would be better than none, please help or give a little insight as I am new to owning an ipod as this is my first.

Thanks "lllaass," But it seems as though many win7 64 bit users are and have been having the same problem for over a year. Microsoft and Apple have not as of yet taken steps for a fix as they have been investigating the issue for well over a year. I am so sorry I bought an iPOD at this point, all included it's been $400 dollars out of pocket and hours of frustration and searching forums for answers. Apple just sold me a headache wrapped in sales hype. This is disappointing and I truly doubt I'd buy another Apple product again without THOROUGHLY investigating forums about the item. okay, I don't know about the rest, but about the songs never actually loading onto your iPod, I found in another discussion how to fix that. I'm using Windows 7, so I don't know if the steps are the same, but the end result is the same. So go into your Start menu, then into accessories, right click 'Command Prompt' and click 'Run as administrator'. Then type in the following: netsh winsock reset then press Enter. After a few seconds it should tell you to to restart your computer for changes to take effect. Restart your computer, then restart iTunes, then everything should be working fine. It still takes forever sometimes to update the iPod, but eventually it will work. I've had to do this multiple times, so I'd suggest copying & pasting this solution into a notepad or Word document and saving it on your computer, so you don't have to go through the discussions again to find it. This tends to happen to me nearly every day unfortunately Hope this fixes that problem, but I'm not having any of the other problems fortunately, except for removing the artwork of the songs it updates without me asking it too. PS I think my problem may be with iOS 5, because iTunes 10.5 came out before iOS 5, and I think everything was fine before I updated my iPod, but I really don't know where the problem lies

Make sure the Enable disk use option is NOT ticked from under the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes. If you do have to remove this tick mark, be sure to hit the Apply button in the lower left hand corner of the window in iTunes to update the changes to your device. Then try restoring it again.

My ipod gen 2 does not sync with the latest itunes

I reset my ipod gen 2 to factory settings and version 4.2.1 will not sync with the latest iTunes.

Are you using the USB docking cable that came with that shuffle (it has a mini-dock at the shuffle end)? The docking cable for the current 4th (and 3rd) gen shuffle fits, but it will not work. The connector is different.
When you say, "does not sync with iTunes," do you mean it does appear in iTunes (in the sidebar under DEVICES) but does not sync, or that it does not appear in iTunes at all?

IPod touch 5g won't sync with iTunes windows 8.1

I updated to iTunes 11.1.4.62 on windows 8.1. Now my iPod touch will not sync when it's plugged in to iTunes. I've been syncing with this pc since I got my iPod no problems until now it asked me wheather I trust this pc now I want this fixed.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

Ipod won't sync with songs on Itunes

I just recently bought a laptop and it has Windows Vista 64 bit (Home Premium). I was able to sync the Ipod (40GB 4th Gen) with the laptop as far as transferring purchases. But I can't get the Ipod to sync as far as taking songs from Itunes and putting it onto the Ipod. I tried manual syncing but that's not working either. Now when I try to go back to having Itunes and Ipod automatically syncing and hit apply it still goes back to manual syncing. Please help.

Thank-you. I figured it out myself. I realized that since it's set to have the ipod manually synced that when I have songs I want to go from Itunes onto the ipod I have to click and drag the song over the top of where it says device ipod on the left hand side.

IPod Classic 120gb won't sync with Windows 7

I recently purchased a new computer and installed iTunes fully on it (with all 2000 of my songs!). When I plugged in my iPod to sync with the new computer, I began to get error messages about certain songs. When the sync was "complete," I had about 600 songs on there. I have tried numerous troubleshooting ideas and have restored my iPod numerous times as well to no avail. I attempted to sync with the old computer and am getting the same error messages. Any ideas!?

What is the iPod software that is shown on the iTunes summary page?
It would be helpful, if you can tell us the exact error messages.
Has these "unsyncable" same songs been synced to the iPod using the old computer?

My iPod Classic 80Gb won't sync with iTunes after "Restoring" to factory settings

My iPod Classic is probably about 8 years old, or maybe a little more and has never before given serious problems. Until I recently "restored" the device, the hard drive had about 40Gb of music and podcasts stored on it but no photos or videos.
The device recently just "died" completely and without warning - just a blank screen with no response from any of the controls. I rebooted it using the "Menu" and "Select" buttons and it came back to life. However as it had recently been displaying some other small issues like having to be manually ejected every time after syncing, instead of automatically saying "it is now safe to disconnect" as it always used to, I thought I'd restore it to its original factory settings and then reload my catalogue. Big mistake!
Now when I connect the device, it won't automatically sync as it always used to; and when I try to manually sync it either from the "Sync" button at the bottom right hand corner of the iTunes screen or by right-clicking on the device's icon in iTunes and selecting the "sync" option, the iTunes banner simply states "iPod sync is complete" and "Eject before disconnecting" with no data being loaded.
My computer is a Windows 7 PC running the latest version of iTunes (11.3.1.2) and the iPod device software is up to date (version 1.1.2). <my windows updates are carried out automatically. I have worked my way through the iTunes diagnostics pages, but to no avail.
Any assistance in resolving this issue would be much appreciated.

Ipod 6th Generation won't sync with Itunes but is being recognised as a device on windows

Recently had to get my laptop set back to factory reset. I have reinstalled Itunes and uploaded my music back on Itunes but my Ipod wont sync. The Ipod itself is saying that it’s connected and my laptop is recognising it as a device and saying that it is working correctly. I’ve reset the Ipod and had a look at the firewall on my computer (Windows and the free Avast software) but everything seems to be working correctly. Anyone have any ideas?

How do you stop a recovery mode loop when it won't sync with the orignal itunes library?

When you see your iPad listed in iTunes click on that to select it. Then go to the tabs that are shown and select those things your want on your iPad before you click on Apply or Sync. That should copy what you want to the iPad.

My iPod touch (4G) won't sync with iTunes.
When i plug it into my pc it recognizes the iPod, but the device doesn't appear in iTunes.
I use iTunes 11 because iTunes 12 doesn't work on my pc.
My pc runs on windows 8.1, my iPod touch is running on the latest update of iOS 6.
Can anyone help me with this?

I have the same problem and read where one person turned off ICloud. I do not have I Cloud activated so I went ahead and turned off WiFi. Now it is syncing.
It used to not get past Step 1 of Syncing and it would say "Fail to Sync" or something like that.

I moved my music from the c drive to the d drive. All of my music is in itunes but my ipod won't sync with itunes. The syncing process is taking much longer than usual too. I left my ipod over night to sync and it didnt finish. Fails to sync every time.
