IPod touch 2010 and Sony MEX-BT3800U
Pairing worked once, as did playing.
After turning both the radio and the iPod off and on again, it never worked again.
How can I return the faulty iPod touch?

I just installed a Sony MEX-BT3800U in my car.
I'm pretty new to the whole Bluetooth experience -- I've only once tried a BT headset and it was a pain, so I gave it to a friend. However, I do a lot more driving for work now, and so would LOVE to be able to play all that music via p-tunes through the car stereo, as well as handle calls.
So...
I seem to be able to sync with the Sony device -- at least the Sony stops blinking the BT line.
However, I can't seem to initiate calls, nor receive them, nor play audio via the Sony.
In the one-problem-at-a-time vein, I figure I better try handling the music-playing piece first.
Does anyone else use p-tunes from their 755p to play music through their car stereo?

Depends on the phone model. My old Sony w810i could handle Voice Dialing through the helmet. My Palm Pre Plus can do last number redial only, but works well - while listening to music, when a call comes in the music pauses, I take the call (by saying "HELLO" into my helmet mic), then the music returns when the call ends!

Currently have ipod touch 4 and am getting iphone 5c this weekend. Currently our family has several apple devices and they have the same apple ID for itunes and it is the same ID that we use for icloud. I want to set up a separate icloud ID so that it is only on my new device. I still want to keep the same apple ID for purchases. Can I do this and better yet when do I do this...before the purchase, after the purchase and backing up of data. Where do I go to create a new one?

I just recently got an iPod touch 5 and it won't let me download apps. It says they are free but when I install it , it keeps popping up saying before purchasing I must tap continue to verify my purchase something like that. Idk what to do. !!!!!
Yes. You can set the payment method to "None" once you log into iTunes on your PC/Mac. I have it set up this way.

I have forgotten my password for iPod Touch 4G and it is now disabled. I tried connecting to iTunes but i haven't synced before and i need to enter the password before i can back it up so i can restore it. I don't want to lose pictures so please HELP!
Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. That is how it works
iOS: Forgot passcode or device disabled
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

To restore from backup see:

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode. -

It sounds like you essentially have a new computer and unless you restored from a backup your iTunes library would be empty. You can transfer your iTunes purchases from your iPod to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
SInce you changed syncing computers. after you move the stuff you need to restore the iPod to factory defaults and sync the stuff back to your iPod. If you had the iPod backup file you could restore from backup.
If you have non-iTunes pruchases you can copy them to your computer by using one of the third-party programs discussed in this previous discussion:

HELP!!!!!!!- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem

- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.

How can i backup my iPod Touch 4g and save my apps onto a new hard drive without having to save onto the current hard drive first?
My current hard drive is filled up and i'm going to buy a new, bigger hard drive. How can i change the save and backup destination for iTunes so i can backup and transfer my purchases(apps) onto the new hard drive? Without having to backup and save my apps onto the current hard drive because there's no space left on it. Try disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall for the network problem.
Also for the original problem try the following if Ana's suggestions does not work
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

When iTunes comes up, click on your new iPod under Devices.
At the top of the Summary Page click Music.
Click Synch Music.
Do the same thing for Photos, Apps, Movies and so on...
Now just synch the iPod. -

My computer no longer recognizes my iPod Touch. And the iPod Touch does not recognize that it is connected to a computer. It has worked great for many days until today.
I’ve tried two different Apple cables.
I’ve tried different USB ports on the computer.
I have rebooted both the Mac and the iPod.
I’ve wiggled the cables and checked for dust in the connectors.
The iPod charges using this same cable connected to wall wart. That’s a good sign.
Both the Mac and iPod seem to work fine separate from each other. They just won’t talk anymore.

turn off iPod
hold Sleep and Home buttons to start it.
When Apple appears, let go of Sleep button, but keep holding Home button.
When screen goes blank, let go of Home button.
Connect cable and check iTunes to see if it has conencted.
This did not work for me.
I then turned off the iPod, restarted the Mac, and restarted the iPod normally.
I connected them with the cable, and it works like normal. :-)
