Ipod touch 2g wont charge or connect to itunes
Hi, no matter what I do the Itouch wont charge, I have plugged it by usb into a pc and itunes doesnt recognize it or charge it, I have tried everything in the troubleshoting exept full content restore which i dont want to do.
Any ideas?
I have the same problem with my 2G ipod touch. I plug it into the usb port and itunes pops up like it should normally, it started to show but then went away. The ipod said it was charging at first but it hasn't charged at all. Also it won't turn on right now. Anyone have any advice?
Is it still charging if it isn't shown on itunes or on the ipod?

Ipod Touch will not charge or connect to Itune, keeps reverting to apple logo?
My Ipod Touch will not charge or connect to Itunes/computer
Ipod switchs on charge logo appears then switchs to apple logoTry:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order. -

My ipod touch suddenly stopped charging when connected to my iHome audio system.
My iPod touch suddenly stopped charging when connected to my iHome audio. I downloaded the newest update to iTunes and then when I plugged my iTouch into my iHome a message popped up that said the iPod touch was unable to charge on the device.
- Inspect the dock connector on the iPod and dock for bent or missing contacts, foreign material, corroded contacts, broken, missing or cracked plastic.
- Contact iHome. Maybe there is a firmware update for the dock. Sometimes an iOS update breks compatibility. However, sometimes the following works
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
iOS: How to back up
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device. -

My ipod touch will not charge or register in itunes. It keeps turning off and then shows the apple logo. I have tried holding down the button and plugging it in. It will show the red battery for a second and then turn off? Any other suggestions?
I have checked for problems with the connections, but from what i can see with the naked eye, nothing appears abnormal. It is very strange, and very sudden. It just stopped in the middle of a charge. The apple store is my next step. I just wanted to see if anyone on here had some extremely eye-opening solution or check. thanks though!
I'm also within warranty, so it's not a huge problem. -

Before you reinstall the Apple software, also remove iCloud vi Control Panel Remove programs. The reinstall the Apple programs
