Ipod Touch (2gen) 4.2.1 can''t find wifi.
Before I updated my Ipod to 4.2.1. I always could connect with my wifi at home. After I updated it, the Ipod couldn't find it anymore could anyone help me? or does anyone have the same problem?
Do you mean you can't connect or when you go to the network setting and you can find any networks? Have you tried reseting network settings (Setting>General>Reset) reseting your iPod:
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Alas, the Classic doesn't support radio. The basic classic can only play stored audio files. iTunes plays radio by streaming it over the network.

I am having trouble connecting my old ipod touch 2gen to the new itunes, any suggestions.
I have a new desktop and I installed the new itunes 64 bit to it but now I can't connect my old ipod touch 2gen to it, it says that the required software is not installed. To run itunes installer and it will remove this and install the 64 bit software. Which is already installed. Any suggestions as to how to fix this, or is it a lost cause?

I was downloading the software update for ipod touch 2gen and after it was done downloading it showed that there was an error with my ipod and when i saw it was on the lockscreen loading. its been like this for 4 hours already
What did the error message say?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

If my iPod Touch 5 battery is failing, can I pay Apple to send me a refurbished one before I send them the one with a failing battery? I don't want to go without my ITouch. I really don't want to go without it but I dont want to have to purchase a new one. The battery life is abysmal, and I am reluctant to upgrade my ios system to ios8 because all I ever see are complaints about upgrades killing the battery. I am still on ios6. When I upgraded my macbook pro (which is now DEAD) the battery got worse.
I am just sick of it. I called apple about my itouch battery and the help was terrible. All they were telling me to do was do a restart and UPGRADE TO THE LATEST IOS TO SEE IF THAT SOLVES THE BATTERY PROBLEM. They would not even tell me what to do if that would not work. Very rude.I kept asking and I finally had to find out myself through my own research that they cant replace the battery; instead they send you a refurbished ipod. They never told me that on the phone and they kept giving me the run around when I kept asking them what I should do if the IOS upgrade did not work or made the battery worse. I have a charger that I sometimes use plugged in to the ipod ( not all the time, I know that is bad for the battery) and I thought my battery life should be better than it is because I sometimes use it on the charger ( it should save the battery).Not that I know of. I am trying to transfer songs from my iPod touch to my computer and can not figure out how to do it. I also want to transfer the songs I have back in to iTunes. My hard drive went out on my computer and I lost all of my songs, except for on my iPod. I have an iPhone as well and did an update and it wiped out all of my songs. Someone please help me.
The music sync is one way - computer to ipod. The only exception is itunes purchases. Without syncing: File>Transfer Purchases
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your comptuer for just such an occasion. use your backup copy to put everything back. -
When my Ipod touch is in autolock I can only restart the device holding the sleep/wake button and home button at the same time for 10 seconds. While in auto-lock it is using battery power and will do so until the battery is drained. Whats wrong?

Triple click the home button and try going to Settings>General>Accessibility and turn VoiceOver off. You may have to use three fingers to scroll the screen to get there. If problems see:
