Hello, I just found my old ipod touch 2nd generation, I plugged it on my mac (not the main pc of the ipod) and it says that there's a new update is availlable. If a accept to load the update, does my ipod will sync with my Iphone's library that's on my mac?? 'Cause there is some music I would like to keep and those songs aren't on my mac!

Syncing to a new iTunes library or computer will erase your iPod. Only if you back up your iPod manually before syncing, you can restore your device from that backup again. A manual backup does not include the sync process.
Do this:
Disable autosync in iTunes, connect your iPod to your new computer and right click on it in the device list and choose backup. iTunes will backup your iPod without syncing.
Transfer your purchases the same way, choosing "transfer purchases" this time.
When you connect your phone for the first time, all media content will be erased. But you can restore your settings and app data from your manual backup afterwards.
Don't forget to set up at least one contact and event on your new computer to be able to merge calendars and contacts when you sync the iPod for the first time.
Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in iTunes and transferred your purchases.

Don't despair Look at "Vintapps" in the Apple app store. It has tons of available apps for all those earlier ios devices. And you can download them right to your ios device. Many are free.

Whats the next step in finding out what to do? This was the second attempt to do this with the first try happening the same except I am not sure how long the processing files part was.. Looking at the details for this mic, it appears that the app has to have the option to use the internal specak when a mic is plugged into the headphone jack. Specifically:
NOTE: When MityMic is plugged into your iPod/iPhone you won’t be able to use the onboard speaker for sound output. You must remove the MityMic then play back your recordings. (The Skype app has an option to enable the onboard speaker even when the mic is plugged in, so you could use MityMic for placing Skype calls. However most other apps do not have this function.)

It means the device is in recovery mode. You'll need to reconnect it to iTunes and restore it again.
You may need to connect it in recovery mode manually using the instructions in this Apple support document.

I updated my version of iTunes to 10.7.0.21, and my iPhone 4S to iOS 6.
I also have a beloved and still-functional iPod Touch 2d gen, which is no longer supported. Even so, will I still be able to sync with/backup to, iTunes?

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

Very angry with my iPod touch 2nd gen and computers, please help.

Alright, I have access to two computers. One computer has Itunes, alls fine and dandy, expect the computer does not see that my ipod is plugged in at all. The ipod doesn't see that it is plugged in and will not charge. The other computer, after failing to update Itunes, will not allow me to download Itunes. I've uninstalled all of the applications connected with it and it still will not work. A bonus to the fact is that my ipod shows up as a camera. Now I've looked up solutions, tried them out, nothing. I'm about to throw my ipod at my computer.

For the first computer start here:

For the second computer, try completely removing and reinstalling all the Apple software:
