Ipod Touch 32 GB keeps crashing Itunes

And please, no, "This is happening to me, too" answers. I want to resolve this now!
Back history- A virus destroyed my computer so i had to restore it. I reinstalled Itunes. So, I put my ipod touch in the USB, I tried to sync a movie or mp3 file and it crashes. This NEVER happened to me before.
And yes, I did a restore on my ipod touch, that was fine but I am STILL unable to sync anything onto my ipod touch. I am able to put files on my Ipod classic, ipod nano, though.
No way am I going to replace it. The ipod touch STILL works, just won't sync anything!

You need to make sure that Apple Mobile Device Services (AMDS) is running properly on your computer. Read through this article and follow the troubleshooting steps: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1567
If you have to re-install iTunes, you need to use the Control Panel and completely remove AMDS, iTunes, and QuickTime and then reboot your computer. Then download and install iTunes.

Hi there. I'm trying to restore my iPod. At first, it kept crashing iTunes when I connected it to my computer so I couldn't even restore. I rebooted and was able to restore but it crashed iTunes during syncing. Now it keeps crashing iTunes when I restart it. Is my iPod dead or is there anything else worth trying here? iTunes software is up to date.

Try the Hrad Reset first
After charging till full charge, at least 2 hours (preferably 4 hours)
Toggle the Hold switch, make sure you dont see the red mark when you do the next step
Reset the iPod -> Press Menu and Center button simultaneously for about 10 secs or till the Apple Logo comes ON
Then release the buttons
Select your preferred language.

Then do the iPod Disk Diagnostic, in this earlier post by tt2, it wont fix your problem, but help you decide if your iPod is dead.

Ipod touch 3rd gen keeps crashing after 4.2.1 update

so I downloaded the new iOS 4.2.1 update and ever since then my ipod touch 3rd generation (which is a refurb by the way) kept crashing -- didn't matter what app it was on (even on some of the programmed in apps), it would just crash and go back to the home screen. and whenever I'd be scrolling through any list, it would freeze up and take a second or two to scroll. it also would just randomly stop playing music, even if it was disconnected from the computer. it's been a severe pain in the butt and VERY frustrating!! i talked to several friends and they said it wasn't just me, the same thing had been happening to them. just wondering if anyone had found a cure yet?

Try letting your iPod run to flat battery (where it turns its self off) and then charge it fully without playing with it for that time

I have an iPod touch 4g 8Gb. I've got it i think 2 years ago. Maybe even 3 I'm not sure. it is running IOS 6.1.6 . I never had problems with IOS 6 like other people said. It was perfectly fine. Until IOS7 came out.(I know it is not capable with iPod Touch 4) I restored it made sure background app refresh wasn't on and everything you can think of but it didn't seem to help. I have no clue about what the problem is. it has space in it. There are like 3 games Facebook and Skype only. I don't know how I could speed it up. I would highly appreciate it if anyone helped me with this problem. Thank you

I actually restored and set it up like a brand new iPod 3 months ago and never used it afterward. I feel like Apple made the iPods extremely slower after the IOS7 came out, because it wasn't that slow and crashing before IOS 7 was released. Anyway I assume that there are no solutions for my problem. Thanks.

I have had it for about 3 years now. I have the latest version i can possibly update to...
Over the past few months, it has been giving me a fit. Its seems like it has gotten worse...it crashes no matter what app i go to (except a few built in apps that are not very busy, like calculator). Sometimes I may be able to be on an app for 10 minutes without crashing, while other apps wont even let me get to a menu before it crashes. Even some built in apps like safari does it. I'm not sure what to do. Is this normal for the latest version a 2nd gen ipod touch can get? What can I do about this?

Tryin to sync my ipod touch and it keeps crashing

ive recently just purchased a i pod touch and im currently a windows 7 user. I downloaded i tunes along time ago for my nano, which syncs just fine! i plugged in my new hardware, registered it and so far when i try to connect to the itunes store, it crashes, i sync the dam thing and it reaches step 7 and crashes, repeatedly sayin ' an error has occured which has forced itunes to close'. I tried re-installing itunes, getin the latest updates,and also going into preferences to see if there was a option to let me sync to two devices, but no success! any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated im at a loss

And that happens with EVERY app I try to launch, and they don't open past the loading interface. For example, if I select iBooks, it starts up and the initial loading empty bookshelf shows up but then after a couple of seconds the app crashes and I'm taken back to my home screen. What should I do?

I tend to make my playlists right on my ipod. This did not happen for the last 2 years. Just started recently. Did get a new computer recently.

That is because you got a new computer. You can only sync all media from one syncing computer. You can sync from any computer to iPod using the manual method but that does not sync from iPod to computer.

Why won't it sync? Are you getting any sort of error message during the sync process? If so what is the exact wording of that error message? If this the computer you normally sync the iPod with?
