IPod touch 3G (iOS 4) & pairing with original white Apple bluetoot keyboard

Hi,
I'm having trouble pairing my original Apple bluetooth keyboard (plastic white model) with the iPod touch 3G (upgraded to iOS 4). The iPod touch can see the keyboard but it doesn't pair with it. No passcode ever shows up. However, when I press the return key on the keyboard, a dialog box on the iPod touch pops up very quickly with the passcode that I should enter, and then it immediately pops up another dialog box to say it can't pair because wrong passcode was entered.
My iPod touch 3G can pair with my new aluminium Apple bluetooth keyboard though.
Any help with how to pair it with the original white plastic Apple bluetooth keyboard? I haven't been able to find a firmware update for the keyboard. Maybe there is one?

i jailbroke it though for testing apps a friend of mine made and its proved because ive also changed the boot logo and thats seen in the boot loop so the warranty thing might be now voided ive used it fine for 3 months this way until now

Why is my iPod touch Gen 5 still associated with my older Apple ID not my more recent one?

This morning I ran across another problem. I still can't access my older [email protected] Apple ID account.
I created a new Apple ID account but for some reason my iPod touch asked for the older Apple ID. I was trying to update Facebook, but I forgot my older password.
I clicked on iForgot for [email protected] but the verification email was never sent.
I clicked on the Next button many times but still no email.
Can you please help me reset the old password to a new password of my choice?
Finally how can I associate my iPod touch to my new Apple ID?

Ipod Touch 4G IOS 5.0.1 Stuck on Apple Logo

This morning I woke up and downloaded a large game and a message came up and it said running out of disk space and it would'nt let me stop the download so I rebooted it and my Ipod the apple logo stayed. So i plugged it in to itunes and hit restore and it gave me error 21 so i put my ipod in recovery mode and hit restore again and the same error came up.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

IPod touch 4g iOS 6 works with iTunes 10.6.3

Is this unusual? I hooked my Touch 4G to my PowerPC iMac and opened iTunes to see what happens. Amazingly, it synced with the iMac. It was running iOS 6.1.3 but after I plugged it in, 6.1.5 was installed from the iMac. I always see people say it won't work, so why for me? Anyone else had this work? This is weird.
Also, my iPod was never connected to any kind of computer prior to this.

As far as I know, iTunes 10.6.3 works without any problem with iOS 6 devices. The problem comes when you connect iOS 7 devices, which need iTunes 11 and, in this case, you need an Intel-based computer

You have to hook it up to a computer and update it to ios 5 and then there will be a "software update" button.

awesome121, he does not an an iCloud account. You need iOS 5 or later for iCloud and the poster said he has iOS 4.

An iPod can pn;y sync wiht one iTunes kibrary and the new computer is a new iTunes library:
- Transfer iTunes purchases to the computer by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
- Transfer other music by using a third-party probgram like one of those dicussed here:
Copy music from Ipod to new computer...: Apple Support Communities
- Connect the iPod to the computer and make a backup by right clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and select Back Up
- Restore the iPod from that backup

IPod Touch 4Gen is Incompatible Bluetooth with iMac & MacBook?

I have an iPod Touch 4Gen. iOS 4.3.4
I tried to connect it to an iMac 24" 3.06GHz. and to a MacBook 13" 2.4GHz. (The Blackie). Both use Snow Leopard 10.6.8 with Bluetooth Firmware 2.0.1.
The problem:

iMac is incompatible with iPod?

The iPod dos not have the necesaary profiles to support pairing with a computer. See:

Can anyone help me with this issue???

Connect your iTouch to your PC then open iTunes, if iTunes does not recognize your device, try to hold the SLEEP Button and the HOME button at the same time (iPod Reset) for a couple of seconds until the "Charging Tone sounds, now you should be seeing your device name in the iTunes " Device List". If you do, just click RESTORE and iTunes will automatically restore your iTouch to original set-up and download the iOS6 update.

IPod Touch calendar no longer syncs with Macbook after upgrade to Mavericks

I have a 2nd Gen iPod Touch, running iOS 4.2.1 (the latest available). My MacBook Air previously ran Mac OSX Lion, and would happily sync the calendar with my iPod. I've just upgraded to Mac OSX Mavericks, which apparently comes with iTunes 11.1, but plugging my iPod into the USB port no longer causes the calendar to sync. I've tried manually syncing through the iTunes interface but it simply ignores the calendar, which remains stuck as it was when I last synced.
What am I doing wrong here?

I too have an older iPod. I do not care much for iCloud or any cloud so what I do is send my calendar to my e-mail and then open it on my iPod. I send Contacts using Adobe and, for me, it works fine. If you are in business and use these apps frequenctly I do not think this would work well for you. Only two options, iCloud or a Server.
