IPOD TOUCH 4--problem with downloading music

I have two ipod touch (4G) linked to my username.  The problem is that when one boy buys music from itunes, the song is downloaded to the other ipod touch(belongs to other boy).  How can this be corrected?

Hello twins612
You can turn off the Automatic Downloads that is turned on the settings. Go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores and toggling off Music and other options to download
iTunes Store: How to enable Automatic Downloads

Are you downloading using your BlackBerry's browser?
The best way to download music is through a computer and just transfer the files to your phone after.

  • Second generation ipod touch and problems with headphone jack.

    Hello!
I have a second generation ipod touch that is experiencing headphone jack problems.  Everytime that I plug any sort of headphones in all it does is make weird noises and only let me hear background parts of the music.  I have even tried replacing the headphones that i was using and it still does the same thing.  The only way to hear all of the song is to push the headphones to the left and hold it there otherwise nothing works.  I even talked to some of my friends that have the 2nd generation ipod touch and they have the same problem.  Is there an issue with the 2nd generation ipod that people are not informed about?

    No.
My 2G, passed along to my brother now, is just fine after nearly 3 years of daily use and it's share of hard knocks.
    I didn't just "get lucky" either .
A search of this forum will show that what you've described does happen but it's not common.
You need a 3rd party , like iPod Doctor, to tell you and your friends what happened and how to avoid it in the future.
I doubt it will make sense to repair a 2G iPod since it can no longer be updated but ask anyway.

  • BIG PROBLEM with downloading music

Ok, I am a 3 day Blackberry Curve 8320 owner and I am having problems downloading music and videos into my phone.I purchased the phone through a friend and all they gave me was the phone. I activated the phone with my local cellphone company and all so thats already taken care of. I understand that you need the CD that came with the phone to put songs in. My friend lost her CD so I went to my local cell phone company that carries Blackberry's and they said they do not sell the CD. The customer service representative told me to go to Blackberry.com and download Desktop Manager version 4.6. So I went to Blackberry.com and went to Blackberry Desktop Version 4.6 after I clicked that it gave me a lot different download options. I dont know what to download! Please help.

When downloading the desktop manager, after you select your version (4.6 or 4.7)  - the different files will appear below, select the ENGLISH version with or without Media Manager - (depending on your preference , but if syncing music, Media Manager is the preferred option)
That should forward you to a registration page and then the download link - install and plug BB device into CPU, select Media MAngar and drag 'n' drop your media files into the appropriate folders!
    Hope that helps out!

hi, i have forgotton my password for my ipod touch and it has now disabled to the point where i have to connect to itunes. my problem is, i would like to keep my data on my ipod, however i know that i may have to erase it all. • IPod touch sync problem with iCal

My iPod touch (3th gen) doesn't sync any new appointment with iCal anymore (and vice versa). He only sync the older appointments, even when replacing all data from iCal to the iPod. I think the problem started since installing OS X Lion. I do not work with MobileMe, but directly via iTunes. How can I solve this problem?

Did you try to click either "all" or "selected"? If you click "selected" you need also to click on the different calenders that you set up. For example, if you have djm027 calender (that is calender for yourself), another calender for sister, another calender for your brother and so forth. You need to click them all if you want to be seem on your iPod Touch. And if you only want yours then you just click djm027. I am not sure if this help. This is how I fix the problem myself.

  • Problems with downloading music files from particular websites

Has anyone else had problems using the Calabash or Afropop websites to download music files? I am able to download using Tiger on my MacBook Pro but each time I try the same with Leopard on my iMac, I get a message that the file does not exist. However, I am able to download music files from other sites like Music for Robots so I am not sure if there is something wrong with the sites themselves?

The files are definitely corrupted because they skip and have areas that sound like the file bits are jumbled.  I verified this on two different computers.  Dragging the same song straight from the server to the computer or streaming it the songs
play fine.  I also had trouble with the same hard drives corrupting music and pictures when I had the raid tower in Raid 0.  I have since put the drives in clean mode and reformatted full to NTFS.  The Raid tower is a TR4UTBPN with two WD 1.5tb
7200 drives.  I am running them in USB 3.0 mode with supplied turbo USB software to super speed the tower.  My pictures when they corrupt have solid color banding all through the middle.  I may try making a folder on one of the internal server
drives and try downloading and see if they are corrupt as well.  when I say it corrupted the files before I mean you couldn't stream them copy them or look at them on the server without them being corrupted.  Any thoughts?

  • I have a ipod touch gen4 problem with my apps

my app store says i have 2 update i clicked on it and it says all my apps are up to date and my snapchat says i have 2 notification even though i only have 1 snapchat. How do i fix this problem i tried turning it off then back on still the same, also if you know how to fix the lagging on the ipod gen4 touch that would be really help.

    For lagging:
Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
    Next
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
It appears the App update number is an Apple problem with apps that have been updated for iOS 7. Noting you can do

  • Problems with downloaded music

I have a recently purchased album from itunes.  Everything downloaded fine except some of the songs will only play for 45 sec or so and then end prematurely and skip to the next song.  When I transfered over to my ipod the song stops at the same point.
This leads me to believe there is a problem with the file.
Can I re-download purchased songs or is there a way to trouble shoot this problem

    Joel,
In case there was a problem with the download, get fresh copies (at no charge) by following these instructions:  iTunes 10 for Windows: Download previous purchases from the iTunes Store
If the new ones sound the same (unlikely, but possible) the store may be carrying a corrupt file.  In that case, contact iTunes Customer Service.

  • Can anyone tell me how to fix the problem with downloading music? Now with the new iOS5

Ever since the new iOS5, and now 5.1, whenever I download music, and play it on my iPad2, the album cover will "flash" white between each song, whereas before the picture would hold steady for the duration of the album play! I have to admit I find this REALLY annoying! Even syncing with my MacBook doesn't fix the problem...any ideas?

    Hi Jane,
First, regarding the virus issue, although I cannot promote any specific 3rd party software, there are plenty of FREE and very good anti-virus apps out there. You can Google 'free antivirus" and a good list will come up. You may want to look at a few reviews before you try. I don't know if you use Mac or Windows so you may have to do a little research on which is best for your computer platform. You can run the software and it will help clean off your system if there's a virus.
Second, regarding your Elements sync to Revel, you may need to disable and then re-enable the Revel sync agent from within Elements, which you find in Preferences. In addition you may try signing out and then back into Revel via Elements.
Let me know how that goes. If the disable/re-enable doesn't help, I'll get an Elements team member to see if they can help.
Best of luck on the virus software!
    Glenyse

Syncing music is one way only, unless you use 3rd party software. See this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0
You can transfer your purchases by connecting your ipod, right clicking on it in the device list and choosing "transfer purchases". This will copy all media data bought in itunes to your computer.
A manual backup will save data to your computer. Right click and choose "backup" Make sure autosync is deactivated in itunes and at least one contact and event is set up on your computer to be able to get the merge prompt. See what's inside a backup here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Your ipod will be wiped during the first sync, you can restore it using the manual backup you made.

  • Problem with downloading music on Lumina 928

Bought my first album on Nokia Music.  Created account and provided credit card on device (Lumina 928). Nokia only downloaded one (1) song.  Credit card charged and "thank you for purchasing" e-mail confirmation received.  Very disappointed with telephone support.  Operator "escalated" problem.  No follow-up, however.  Is this a common problem with Nokia?  Any ideas?  Should Windows phone owners use this service or order through Microsoft?
    Thanks

    Hi WGS4,
Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
Sorry to hear that. Your purchase history is linked to the Nokia account you have used to purchase the songs from the Nokia Music Store. In this scenario, I would suggest visiting the Nokia Music Store: music.nokia.com on any device supporting HTML5. Sign in your account, go to Purchase history . Check if the album you're looking for is included on the list. If it is available, check on the right side of the album if there is an option to redownload the album. Let us know if you encounter any issues with redownloading the songs. Hope this helps.

  • How do I fix my iPod touch's problem with hotmail outgoing mail server?

I have just received a new replacement iPod touch 8Gb.
On my old model I used the house wifi network to connect to HOTMAIL in the mail app it would set the account up immediately and work perfectly.
This time, when I tried to set the account up I had a long delay while it verified account details. Then after opting to set up account without using SSL an account was generated with an error message to say I may not be able to send or receive mail.
Incoming mail is OK, outgoing is not working.
The error message told me that I needed to configure my outgoing mail server.
My default outgoing server is set to smtp.live.com and works on port 587.
I have an additional server set to 'on', which is also smtp.live.com working on port 465, which was set up when I tried to alter the port number on the default server. Still no outgoing mail.
    Any suggestions?

Followed your instructions and again, account verification failed using SSL.
I chose to create without SSL and got the following message:
'The SMTP server 'smtp.live.com' is not responding'. I accepted the details,
the email Inbox populated, and everything looks normal.
    Same error is occuring:
'Connection to outgoing server 'smtp.live.com' failed. Additional outgoing mail servers can be configured in settings>mail, contacts and calendars'
    The settings are as follows:
    Incoming mail server
    Host Name: pop3.live.com
    username: is correct
    password: is correct
    Outgoing SMTP:
    Primary server
    host name: smtp.live.com
    username: is correct
password: is correct (has been re-entered just in case)
    Use SSL: OFF
    Authentication: password
    server port 587
I have duplicate SMTP servers listed under 'Other SMTP servers' with exactly the same details as above so it seems as if the iPod is retaining some settings even after I delete account.
Also, I wonder if there is anything I need to get the network administrator to do, because he did ask for the Wi-Fi address of my previous iPod touch could it just be a case of allowing it as a specific device on our network?

  • IPod Touch 5 - problem with open wi-fi

Hello there I really hope that you can help me!
So I can't use the Internet when I want to use an open wi-fi though my iPod clearly shows me that I'm connected. When I'm connected with an encrypted wi-fi the Internet works perfectly. It just won't work with open ones - I can open Facebook (for example) but it won't load or update. Any things that I can do so that I can finally use open wi-fi's?
Ps. When there's an open wi-fi like in MC Donald's where you just need to "sign in" then everything works perfectly as well. Just not with these were there's no password or signing in..
Hopefully someone can help me with this?
    Cheers,

Then it is likely that "these" hotspots require a browser that uses Flash or Java which iOS devices like the iPod touch do not support.  You have to ask people who administer those hotspots or Google to find out if/how you can connect.
