IPod touch 4G causes windows 7 to blue screen when connecting to iTunes

Wife bought me a new iPod Touch 4G for Christmas. A few days ago it started to cause my Windows 7 (64bit) to blue screen randomly while connected or sometimes when I first connected it. Did a Windows re-install and crashes Windows each time I connect it. It is not the USB port as other devices work fine through all my USB ports. I do load various apps on the iPod several times a day. And it is also bluetooth'd to my wireless wifi switch (same network as my PC). ITunes program on PC is latest version. Anyone have a clue on this one?

Restore loop (being prompted to restore again after a restore successfully completes)

Next try placing in DFU mode and then restoring.

Then try restoring on another computer.

IPod Classic's screen when connecting to ITunes

With my IPod Classic 80GB with displying time on the menu, when connecting(Syncing) to ITunes, where time was displyed on the top grey line like 8:20PM for example, it turns into a meaningless letter 'P'.
If the time is like 8:20AM, no such letter will appear on this grey line.
Is this for everyone's ipod classics? Or only mines stuffed.
No fault on its functions, but curious if this is just a stuff up by Apple.
Your yes/no is much appreciated.

I'm seeing the same here, too. Letter "P" on top of the screen when connected to iTunes.
I will see if turning off the clock in the display or switching to 24hour time works. Hadn't noticed if connected in the AM makes a difference since I usually synch up at night in the PM.
The iPod seems to operate just fine otherwise.

IPod touch 4G with interferance on 1 channel when connected in my car

I have an iPod touch 4G with interferance on 1 channel when connected to my VW Golf (2009) using VW cables and a RNS510 stereo system. I can only listen to it if the balance is full left channel! Tried it in another car and it is fine. Tried my sons 2G touch in my car and that is fine. VW say the stereo is fine? I used the same settings as the VW technician's iPod his was OK and mine wasn't. Any ideas how to fix this?

My ipod only shows white and sometime blue screen I have reset it and let the battery go completly dead and tried hooking it back up to charger. Even tried different usb cords and no luck with any of it. I was trying to update its software and then It just done this. It has not been dropped or anything. Any ideas is much appreciated. -Thanks

Blue screen when re-opening iTunes 9.0.3 w/ iPod Classic already plugged in

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or something similar.

This is regarding iTunes 9.0.3.15 for Windows
Potential bug: Windows blue screen (SYSTEMSERVICEEXCEPTION) when re-opening iTunes with iPod Classic 120GB already plugged into USB port.
I have been able to replicate this problem twice now. Here are the exact steps:
1. Plug iPod Classic 120GB (bought new in November 2008) into a USB port and iTunes opens and syncs (I have it set to manually manage my iPod).
2. Use iTunes for a bit, then click the eject icon next to my iPod in iTunes (when it's not syncing) but leave iPod plugged into the USB port (to charge).
3. Close iTunes and use Internet Explorer for a few minutes and close Internet Explorer (with no other apps running).
4. Open iTunes. iTunes connects to iPod (iPod screen shows "Connected").
5. Scroll through the iTunes Music Library in List view, click any music file and a Windows Blue Screen appears (SYSTEMSERVICEEXCEPTION), does a memory dump and then forces the computer to restart.
So far, the blue screen only occurs under these specific circumstances. I do not know if this problem existed before iTunes 9.0.3.15 as I have never tried the above steps in earlier versions. I just happened to be able to retrace my steps to notice the blue screen problem in 9.0.3.15

I've gotten the exact same error message and problem... When I connect my iPod Nano 3Gen, iTunes comes up -- syncing begins -- and then immediately triggers a blue screen with the SystemServiceException error and a crash dump is generated. I have been unable to find a resolution in 3-4 weeks of searching, including HP Technical Support, trolling the Windows 7 Support sites, and now, here. The Advice given by HP was to uninstall all USB drivers and let reboot reinstall them. That didn't work. Then they asked me to reboot my PC, hit F10 until the BIOS came up, and then find and disable the "enable legacy USB" capability -- except that no such setting is available in my BIOS. Obviously it's a driver issue, and just as obviously it's a Windows 7 / iTunes issue -- but no one is offering a solution, yet.

Let the battery drain completely. When the screen shuts off, charge it back up.

After updating to iOS 7, iPod touch 5th gen randomly partially blue screened and then restarted.

I was using my iPod touch 5th generation to listen to a podcast through the podcast app and searching the ebay app for some stuff and three quarters of the screen turned blue and part of the top of the blue part showed alternating colours of between what was on the screen and blue. Then my iPod restarted (and took a long time at that) and then it was just as if my iPod had restarted. Please help. This is first and only time that this has happened and nothing else was open on my iPod.

Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

unfortunately I have no points to reward an answer.
Still, I get my chance to get one from a friendly and understanding person.
The iPod Touch is a "September edition" with firmware 1.1.4 (4A102) lately updated.
Whenever I connect he iPod, my PC immediately crashes with a bluescreen.
I didn't have such problem with previous firmware. I guess I could come back to 1.1.3 and wait for 1.1.5. However, I would rather do it only if there is no other solution.

Well, try to follow the instructions above written:
Go to the computer's properties (Right-click on "My Computer");
Click the “Hardware” tab and then hit “Device Manager”. A new pop-up window will appear;
Click the plus sign next to “Universal Bus Controllers” to enlarge their list;
Right click on any items that identified as “Usb Host Controller” or “Usb Universal Host Controller”;
Then lick “Update Ddriver”, and configure it to do “this time only” and then hit next button;
Select “Install the Software Automatically”
It will automatically search and install updated drivers. This should work, the problem comes from your PC and not from your iPod.

Ipod touch keeps giving me a blue screen and wont work, HELP!!!

So earlier today my ipod gave me a notification that a new ios software update was avaliable so i began the update. But during the update, i got impatient (like i always am -_-) and i decided to turn my ipod completely off by holding down the top and home buttons at the same time like an idiot........HUGE MISTAKE!! Now everytime i try and turn it on, all it does is show the logo and then it goes to a blue screen and the bluescreen fades out to white and stays that way. Each time i try and turn it off it keeps repeating this process. How can i fix this?? Will my ipod be like this forever? HELP :'(
