IPod Touch 4g dosent register in iTunes leaving: error 0xE8000022

So, no that long ago i was going to put on some music on my iPod Tough 4g then i connected it, iTunes didnt even try to find it, only left behind error message (0xe8000022) This is not normal, as when i jailbroke it, it still connected, then it acted up and it wouldnt connect.
This is what i tried:
Restarting the USB thingy
Restarting the service
Rebooted my computer a half a million times
Trying another cord
Running in Admin
Reinstalling iTunes and its librarys
Trying it on my laptop, (I use the desktop more, but still nothing)
I find this error very annoying, the one thing i hate about it, is that it will show up in Windows.
It charges and everything, but iTunes dosent try at all.
Any help please? I would really like getting up and running again!

  • My Ipod Touch won't register on Itunes??

I have an Ipod Touch and it won't sync with my new laptop. I have tried restarting Itunes, the computer and my ipod, plugging it into different ports muliple times, and looking on mutiple sites.. I synced my ipod with my old desktop fine but now i have all my music, apps, ect tranfered onto my laptop and Itunes won't register my Ipod. Whenever i plug it in my laptop makes a low dum kind of noise and i can see it when i look at my devices under my computer, although i can only see my pics, but Itunes does't change. All the sites say check under the device column on the lft-hand side, but there isn't one. While I'm asking questions, If i have all the things my old Itunes library has, will all my history (like in conversations and youtube videos) be deleted? Oh and my laptop is a windows 7.

  • Why is my Ipod Touch 4g not registering in iTunes?

I just bought an iPod Touch 4g on Ebay.  I've tried all the troubleshooting in the instructions, downloaded the latest iTunes, the USB cable is plugged in and it keeps saying I have no internet connection.  I don't have a router or wifi at home, so I just have it plugged into the computer with the USB.  The iPod turns on, I get all the little icons, but when I click on something it says "...can not open the page because your iPod Touch is not connected to the Internet".  When I go into iTunes, my device is not showing up.  I used to have an Ipod and had no trouble doing any of this before.  I sold that one, and got this one, and I would think it would work the same way, but it's not.  Help!!   Thank you!

  • HT1212 ipod touch disabled . cant reset in itunes passcode error still shows after restore ipod action ?? what else could i try ?

after the factory reset ipod is still disabled and says connect to itunes ??
    HELP!!

    Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen
If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • HT201210 been trying to restore ipod touch for days after updating itunes. keep getting error #9. Tried it on 2 computers, with vista + XP. tried all the solutions posted. nothing is working. Thanks Apple. Didn't have this problem before updating itunes!

Been trying to restore Ipod touch for days after updating Itunes. Error code #9. Stuck on restore screen. Tried all the solutions posted. Tried on 2 computers, Vista + XP. No device shown on computer. Thanks Apple! Didn't have this problem before update. How about rolling back your update?

    Error 9
This error occurs when the device unexpectedly loses its USB connection with iTunes. This can occur if you manually disconnect the device during the restore process. You can resolve this issue by using USB troubleshooting, using a different Dock Connector or Lightning Connector to USB cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

  • HT1369 Ipod touch not being recognized by itunes (but is registering as an external drive by the computer itself) have updated and reinstalled itunes, stopped/started apple mobile device and removed and mobile programs associated with my non apple cellpho

Ipod touch not being recognized by itunes (but is registering as an external drive by the computer itself) have updated and reinstalled itunes, stopped/started apple mobile device and removed any mobile programs associated with my non apple cellphone. This seems to have started happening after the last Itunes update I did as I was able to put music on my ipod touch a month or so ago. Is there some way to go back to an older version of itunes? I really have no idea what else to do since I followed every step on the trouble shooting page for windows 8.

I had this problem too and my roommate solved it!
    Go to 'Settings'
    'Music'
Scroll to the bottom and enter your password to log onto your home sharing
Then connect to iTunes and sync!

  • Can I install an app I bought onto my grandson's iPod touch that is registered in his mother's account

See question.  I bought an app store game on my account, but want to install on grandson's iPod touch, which is registered in his mother's app store account.  Can I?  How?

Yes, you can. The best route would be to download the app directly from the iTunes Store using your account credentials; that way you don't get into any issues of trying to sync with your computer. He won't be able to get updates to the app, though, unless you're willing to give him or his mother your iTunes Store acount ID and password. It would therefore probably be better to gift him the app and have him redeem it through his mother's iTunes Store account so that she can handle any future updates.
    Regards.

  • My Ipod touch is not appearing in iTunes

My Ipod touch is not appearing in iTunes i have tried restarting the apple mobile usb driver and i have uninstalled then re-installed itunes and still it is not appearing although it is picked up by my computer i.e. my device can be found under my computer but all that my ipod touch does while it is plugged into my computer is charge, ipod nano appears in iTunes but my ipod touch doesn't... can someone help me please????
    P.S. I'm a PC user

This exact thing has happened to my ipod touch. I plugged in the cable at first and it was recognized but it stopped a few seconds in. Now when I connect the usb cable to my laptop it either gives me the "usb device not recognized" error or it won't even register but the battery icon says it's being charged.

  • New iPod touch issues. not recognizing in iTunes

i just got a new ipod touch and installed everything and itunes will not recognize the ipod. I went on support and tried what it said by holding down the sleep button and the home button at the same time until the apple appeared and then closing out of itunes and opening it up and plugging the ipod back in which helped it to recognize. the ipod then went into recovery mode and said it needed to be restored. Restoration began however, the connect ipod to itunes screen disppeared leaving a lit up and black screen and a window appeared in the "preparing ipod for restoration" stage that said "ipod could not be restored. an unknown error occured (1604). any ideas? oh and then the thing on the side that said ipod disappeared and it stopped recognizing the ipod again.

    Welcome to the discussions,
Error 1604 points at a problem with your USB drivers/connection.
Error 1604: This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, uninstalling and reinstalling USB ports, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections, device not recognized properly, computer won't recognize a FireWire or USB device). If you are using a dock, bypass it and connect directly to the USB 30-pin dock-connector cable. If the issue persists on a known-good computer, the device may need service.

My children just got iPods touch. I registered them on my account so they can have acces to my I tunes Acc. Now they have all my list of contacts receive my messages have my music my pics, also when they install an app like pandora they have all my stations, things that they don't want. How can I fix this.

As for iMessage, you do  Settings -> Messages (scroll down) -> where it says iMessage, turn the switch to off.
As for pictures, you do Settings -> iCloud -> Photo Stream -> My Photo Stream -> turn switch off.
As for apps, you do Settings -> iTunes & App Stores (scroll down alot) -> Music, Apps, Books are all swtiched off.
If you want to the delete the music, you go onto the music app and slide your finger from right to left on the song.

  • HT1923 I had Windows 7 and Itunes recognized my Ipod Touch with no issues.  Now that I've upgraded to Windows 8 I can't get my Ipod Touch to be recognized by Itunes.  Any suggestions?

I can't seem to get my Ipod touch to be recognized by Itunes now that I'm using my new upgraded Windows 8 Pro.  Has anyone else experienced this problem and do you have a solution?
    Thanks.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
