My ipod touch 3rd Gen. displays colors are inverted. i have read a bunch of stuff about acceabilty but this one doesnt have that. so im not sure where to go from here.

Go to Settings>General>Accessibility. There should be an entry for Black on White (or it could be White on Black), For later iOS it is titled Invert Colors.

Recently, my son's iPod Touch 4th Gen display has acted up after long periods of inactivity such as overnight. Symptoms are a very light screen with many horizontal lines. Turning the device of/off and doing a soft reset does not help. He has discovered if he plays a game then turns the device on/off the display returns to normal and stays that way until another extended period of inactivity.

Try:

Why does it matter with so small a screen?

My iPod Touch does not display as a device on laptop(s), although it works fine in ITunes.

I have Windows 7, using latest version of Itunes, problem occurs on 2 different laptops, USB cord is good, Apple Mobile Device is recognized, running. Stopped and restarted AMD. I believe I have completed all available troubleshooting.
My intent was to transfer songs from my iPod to my Itunes library. I found a video on uTube, but the first step is to work with iPod device.

When my ipod touch (3rd gen) displays an white image, a whiter spot appears on the screen?

It only appears when displaying light images, and i have only just noticed it a few days ago. My ipod touch is running iOS5.0.1
If you have had this problem, please tell me how you fixed it.
It's not a dead pixel, it's just a small circle of pixels that seem to be a noticably different shade of white than the others.
My ipod is under 2 years old now, so the warranty is void.

You can try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factry defaults/new iPod.
If you still have the problem then repair/replacement is required if you do not want to live with it.

Brand new ipod touch won't display home page

Hi Folks
Just bought 2 new Ipod Touch's for the kids for xmas. One turns on fine and went straight to the home page and allowed me to personalise it but the other one starts up and just displays a picture of the USB cable and an upward arrow pointing to an ITunes symbol. It won't allow me to go to the homepage. Have i done something wrong????? Help

It needs to be restored. The only way to do that is to connect it to iTunes and restore as new.

Have you chacked the setting in Settings>Video
TV out only works for specifiv apps. The Video app is one. What were you trying?
Have you tried another TV?

Is it possible to use the lightning hdmi adapter for ipod touch 5th gen AND...use that hdmi adapter to connect to a "hdmi to composite cable" and display it onto a tv that has composite plugs only? will it display/work?

I would expect it to work but I have no experience with it and I have not seen that question posted in this forum before.

IPod touch 5th generation displaying stripes. How to fix?

Recently, my iPod touch started displaying vertical stripes with inverted colors across the screen. I have iOS 7.0.4 installed.The top of the screen also flickers, but tapping it makes it stop for a few seconds. I have tried reseting it, but it did not solve the problem. Hi,
i have a problem with my iPod touch, the battery ran out and when i tried to charge it again the screen turned white and ever since then it never came back to life.
i have restored it and left it to charge for hours to be sure.

My ipod touch just keeps displaying the sync cable pointing to itunes

I went to syncronize my ipod touch with my computer on itunes and it made me download a new driver for it. It then came up with failed and all my ipod now shows is the sync cable pointing to the itunes icon. As well as this itunes can't see my ipod now and doesn't recgonise it. What should i do?

It appears that you have tried RESTORING your iPod Touch. That alone should have put the iPod Touch to original factory settings. I recommend that you take your iPod Touch to your nearest Apple Store for evaluation and possible service. This is because I think your video card is failing.
