Ipod touch 4G stuck on swirling motion with black screen

So I jailbroke my ipod with absinthe a few days ago and everything has been working fine but today i used an app i downloaded from cydia (cant remember the name) and it started to respring and went on for a long time so restared my ipod and everything but it still came back to the same screen of a swirling motion with black screen after passing the apple logo. I tried restoring the ipod on itunes but an error keeps occuring and it wont allow me to restore. Itunes wont read my ipod either. My ipod will not allow me to do anything. What should I do?

Go elsewhere. Jailbreaking voids the Apple warranty. It also means that you will not get any help from Apple, including from this Apple forum.

My ipod touch is stuck on the connect to itunes screen. It will not go away, no matter what I do. I have tried to restart it, but the screen comes back. I don'tknow what to do please help!

You need to connect it to iTunes and restore it. If necessary, manually place the iPod in recovery mode first using the instructions in this Apple support document

  • Ipod touch is stuck in recovery mode with a error code 9

my ipod touch is stuck in recovery mode and when i try to restore it getting an error code 9

Error 9: This error occurs when the device unexpectedly drops off the USB bus and communication stops. This can occur if the device is manually disconnected during the restore process. This issue can be resolved by performing USB isolation troubleshooting, using a different USB dock-connector cable, trying another USB port, restoring on another computer, or by eliminating conflicts from third-party security software.

  • IPod touch 4g stuck on apple logo with loading circle

So here is the deal. I found an old iPod after it being lost for 3 years (i thought it was stolen, but it was actually in Texas in a car we sold to my aunt, that's a really long story). Anyways When i tried to charge it, it is stuck on the apple screen with a loading circle. I have reset it by using lock and home button, but that doesn't work. I saw where it says connect to iTunes, but when I try that iTunes wont let me use it because it has a password on it. And i cant get into the iPod to enter the password. Many things say to restore it, but i really don't want to do that because i believe it has pictures of my friend who died in a car wreck. If you can give me any advice on what to do, I will love you forever. THANKS!

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased. That is how it works even though it is not how you want it to work.

If recovery mode does not work try DFU mode.

    For how to restore:
    iTunes: Restoring iOS software
    To restore from backup see:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
If problem what happens or does not happen and when in the instructions? When you successfully get the iPod in recovery mode and connect to computer iTunes should say it found an iPod in recovery mode.

  • Ipod Touch 3G stuck on apple logo with a loading bar

I tried to factory reset my Ipod and it's stuck on the apple logo with a loading bar.The bar loads, but once it loaded it loads again and again. Is it normal? If it's not please help me to turn it off.I tried the sleep+wake button but it still does the same thing.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Ipod touch is stuck on swirly icon after lock screen freezing

My ipod got stuck on the lock screen and wouldn't respond to anything I tried. Left it for 10 minutes and came back and it had gone to the swirly icon screen which normally comes after updating your ipod. It has been on this swirly icon screen for about 30 minutes now. Tried syncing with itunes no response, also restarting using lock and home button does not work. Will not turn off either. I'm going to restore ipod now but it takes 4 hours for the software to update is this right??
    Thank you.

Yes, someties it can take hours for the update.  The download can take hours.
If you can't restore the iPod since iTunes will not see the iPod, disconnect he iPod from a charging source and let the battery full drain.  After charging for an hour try the reset, and restore.  You also may have to place the iPod in recovery mode.  For that see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore

  • My 3rd gen ipod touch is stuck on the "connect to itunes" screen

I have a passcode on it so I'm pretty much just stuck there.
I've tried restoring it, but the processes that were given in the links I found didn't work.
I've also noticed that when I'm turning my ipod off and it get to the power down screen, the touch screen is unresponsive.
Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance.

Try restorng the iPod to factoery defaults/new iPod.  If still have the problem you very likely have a hardware problem.  If you have an Apple store nearby, I would make an appointment at their Genius Bar.

My Third Generation iPod Touch is stuck in DFU Mode (Completely Black Screen) and I cannot exit it as I have a broken Sleep/Wake button on the iPod. Even worse, iTunes will not see the device so I can restore it.
The only thing that I can think of is to wait until it's battery has completely drained and then restore it.
