  • Why Isn't My iPod Touch 5G Recording Any Audio on Video, Why Isn't My iPod Touch 5G Recording Any Audio on Video

Out of no where my iPod Touch 5G Stopped recording Audio. When I try to take a video, after I listen to it I can only hear a quiet hissing sound. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

    - Make sure the mic hole is clear and unobstructed. It is the little hole on the back by the camera lens(if has back camera). For the 16 GB one without the back camera the mic hole is on the top edge near the center.
    - Open the Voice Memos app and see if you see movement on the VU meter needle with changes in noise level trying to be recorded.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem. Some other 5G users have reported hardware problems with their mics. If the iPod is defective and not abused Apple will exchnage it at no cost

  • My Ipod touch 8GB cannot turn on

My Ipod touch 8GB cannot turn on even when I press the home button and sleep/wake up button together as instructed. It keeps on showing the sign whereby need to connect to Itunes. However, we connected it but it still does not turn on and the home screen never came up! >_<

Is it still charging? If yes, make sure it has been charged for at least 15min, then connect in recovery mode, explained in this article: iOS: Unable to update or restore

What is "it" in but it is not connecting with the ipod ?

  • My iPod Touch 4 cannot see Wi-Fi connections . . .

My iPod Touch 4 cannot see Wi-Fi connectionsit located before, but others can still see it and it is working.  Other Apple products see it.  Not all hot spots but only AAFES.
I have done a complete clean and reset - taking it back to factory, but no good.
I also keep dropping passwords on sites I am using when I never leave that site.  Sometimes it will be ok and other times i will be asked for my password over and over within a few minutes.  This usually happens on car repair forums as well as some Do It Yourself sites.  This never happens with other computers I use.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Maybe it is just a loose wifi antenna connection.

    Hi,
The first thing I would suggest is to run through the guide by Daniel_Potyrala on the link below to completely uninstall and then reinstall the Flash Player Plug-in.

  • Why won't my ipod touch gen 5 play audio on my Sony speaker dock

Why won't my ipod touch gen 5 play audio on my Sony RDP-X30iP speaker dock. I have bought a lightning adapter and find that there is no audio from the speaker dock and the dock does not charge the ipod.

    - Reset the dock
    - Go to Sony's support site and check to see if they say it will work with a 5G iPod touch (w/adopter).
Also look for a firmware update.
    Sometimes this works:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings

Or, it just may not be compatible.

  • Cannot hear audio on playback

Got a bug report for you here I think. I have multiple clips in a timeline, some clips I can hear audio, other clips I cannot hear audio. I have been using Premiere Pro for 10 years. So, you can skip the questions like, "is the track turned on", or "is it one side of the channel that's not playing". what I can tell you is that it's random. Sometimes the audio comes through, sometimes it doesn't (on the same clip). There are wave forms for the audio in the timeline. And not matter what audio track I put it on, it doesn't fix itself. And like I said, it's random. So, a clip works fine one time, then later when I'm going over the same clips, I can't hear audio on it. Any ideas?????

    Check your audio driver.

  • My 2nd generation ipod touch will not play audio books

My 2nd generation ipod touch will not play audio books. How do I fix this? I downloaded the books from iTunes on my computer. I loaded them on my ipod. It shows them on my ipod. It will go to the menu where you can choose which book and then actually pulls up the book then acts like it is going to play. Then it just goes back to the list of books. It won't play any of them. It will play music though.
    How do I fix this?

The books do play in iTunes on the computer, right?
