IPod touch 4th Gen. 16GB Won't turn on.

I got my iPod touch for Christmas and it won't turn on. I woke up to my alarm and then it just shut off. It wasn't really working great when I bought it New from the store, but I thought maybe thats just the way it was. Need this fixed or Replaced? Please Help!

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • IPod Touch 4th Gen 8GB won't turn on!!

I turned off my iPod Touch 4th gen 8GB then tried to turn it back on. It was then stuck on the Apple logo (the power on screen) and it stayed like that for a while. I left it overnight and its still on the screen. Every now and then it flickers, the screen turns black then it goes back on to the Apple logo screen and it's starting to worry me. I've only had the iPod for two months and I use it alot. Hope you can help. Thanks

Yes, I've been using it for months. And I can charge other devices with it. (my iPhone) but something weird just happened..... I kept on pluging it in the iPod and sometimes it would start to chàrge then sometimes it won't charge. Charges every time with the iPhone though.

  • My iPod Touch 4th Generation 8gb won't turn on and is frozen on the loading symbol/wheel, I tried the method where you hold the home and lock button lots of times and it hasn't worked! What do I do?

My question won't all fit in but it says 'My iPod Touch 4th Generation 8gb won't turn on and is frozen on the loading symbol/wheel. What do I do?'
I've had this problem from about two weeks and I forgot about it, but today I wanted to play on it and remembered that it's not working, I've tried connecting it to iTunes via my laptop but I'm not to sure how to update it because I thought that might fix it, but no luck. I've tried the trick where you hold the lock and home button but nothing happened apart from it just went back to the apple logo and then to the frozen loading symbol/wheel. I need help!

My ipod touch 4th gen. Won't sync tunes.
It goes through all six steps, new songs don't sync.

Was the iPod previous synced to another iTunes library/computer?
Have you successfully synced from this iTunes library/computer before?
Do the songs play in iTunes?
Do you have the right boxes checked to sync?
iTunes: Syncing media content to iOS devices and iPod
Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing those songs?

I have a iPod Touch 4th Gen. It ran out of battery. So I charged it and it wouldn't show the charging sign. After a few hours, I tried turning on the device, it would not work. I try doing a reset (Power/Lock and Home for 10 sec), still nothing.
I've tried plugging it in to my computer.
    Used different chargers, usb cables.
    Try doing reset.
I did not drop it recently or drop the device into water. It was working fine before.

  • My iPod Touch 4th Gen Camera's screen turns black and nothing is visible, but on FaceTime, camera does work.Help?

When I open up the camera app on iPod Touch 4th Gen, the screen stays black and you are not able to take a picture/video. On the other hand when i'm FaceTiming someone, the front and back camera works fine. I went to the genius bar at the apple store and they restored my iPod and the camera was still not working but FaceTime still is working fine. Does anyone have any suggestions on why this might be happening or how I could get my iPod working like normal?

  • IPod Touch 4th Gen. Won't Charge, Turn on, do anything?

I recently got a used ipod touch 4th generation 32 gb. I went to set it on my iHome to charge for a bit while I was in the shower and when I came back it wasn't charged at all. I thought maybe I didn't have it placed on it correctly, so I checked and it said it was on it. Strange, so I just tried a new outlet. It didn't charge. I tried a new cord and a new outlet. No charge. I tried my computer. No charge again. I tried my school's computer. No charge. I tried a memory charge bank. No charge. It finally died on me and I can't get it to charge for the life of me. It DID make the charging sound at me prior to it dieing on me, like it was being connected but it wasn't be charged. Someone please help?? It's not jailbroken as far as I know.

  • Out of the blue, my ipod touch (2nd gen.) won't turn back on.

I noticed my ipod touch was working a little bit slower, so I turned it off. I tried to turn it back on, and it didn't budge. I've tried to charge it with my computer multiple times (even though I know it wasn't dead), and it still won't do anything. I updated itunes and restarted my computer, still nothing. I also tried to reset it, anything.. still nothing.
I've held down both buttons in hopes it'd turn on or reset..
    Help please!

Error 23, 28, 29: These errors may indicate a hardware issue with your device. Follow the steps in this article. Also attempt to restore while connected with the white USB Dock Connector cable that shipped with your device, on a known good computer and network to isolate this issue to the device. The MAC address being missing or the IMEI being the default value, (00 499901 064000 0), can also confirm a hardware issue.
