IPod Touch 4th Gen has no songs/incomplete songs after Syncing?

So I recieved an iPod Touch for my birthday:
After syncing the music into my iPod manually, the music is shown to be in my iPod on iTunes, but when I go on my iPod and push on the Music Ap, it says there's no music. When the music did sometimes show up on my iPod it was incomplete and most of the song was cut off. I also cannot restore my iPod it becomes frozen and I have to continue it on another computer.
I can sync apps, etc on to my iPod but not music. I've looked at countless threads where people had this problem, many remained unsolved, I tried what was told where the problem was fixed (playing the music from my iPod on iTunes, then resyncing, etc), still not fixed.
On the other hand if I use my sister's computer and sync her music, it works?
My sister cannot get music off my computer on to her iPod either, so I'm pretty sure it's not my iPod.
I honestly do not want to put all my songs on to a relatives computer just to put songs on my iPod it's too much of a hassle (it works, it's just too much work), I do not want to do that everytime I want more music. I want to sync music on my computer.
Is there a solid solution to this problem?
I apologize for the complain, but I am extremely frustrated.
Things I've tried:
-Reinstalling iTunes, restoring the iPod, resyncing, replaying music on iTunes off iPod, updating iPod, updating iTunes, checking Sync Music box, manually adding music.
I also have Windows 7 if that helps.
Thanks in advance to those who can help!

Try resetting the iPod.
Next would be to restore from backup
Finally, restore to factoery defaults/new iPod.

  • IPod Touch 4th Gen starts from the same song

I recently updated my iPod Touch 4th gen, 32 GB to iOS 6.1.2, from 5.1.1. I skipped iOS 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2, 6.1, and 6.1.1. After the update, I noticed that when I play music from my "All Music" list, my iPod always starts on the same song, no matter what song I listened to last. Sometimes it starts at a song that's farther down the list, but I haven't been able to figure out what circumstances caused it to start at that song. To make things more confusing, once it chooses a different song, it always starts from that song.
I have confirmed that Shuffle and Repeat are both OFF. This issue occurs whether I have recently charged/synced my iPod or not. It also occurs after I perform a hard restart on the iPod. I have not tried restoring it, because I have not had time to dedicate the several hours it would take to re-install iOS and copy all of my stuff back onto it.
My computer is running Windows 7, 32-bit. My iTunes is version 11.0.2.26.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone has questions relating to this issue, I'd be happy to answer them.

I didn't mention this in my initial post because I didn't think it was relevant, but the Home button on my iPod doesn't work. I've been using the virtual home button provided by turning Assistive Touch on.
I did try the first solution you suggested, but nothing happened. I'll make another post when I try the second method.
On a side note, and if it makes any difference, the device in question is not a phone. It's an iPod Touch.

  • White iPod Touch 4th gen, has blotchy Screen, is this normal?

Hello Everyone I have a white iPod Touch 4th gen that I've had since before Xmas. I have a problem with the display. Since I received my ipt, I have noticed that the screen is blotchy, that is most noticeable when viewing solid colours, is this normal? I have read that the adesive used to bind the glass to the screen can result in discolouration however, while this may be the cause of the blotchiness, it does not seem to be going away, I have not been able to find anyone with a similar problem, so would greatly appreciate some advice on the matter. many thanks in advance.

It's like a bad paint job basically, the closer you get the worse it looks. The problem is that it's only noticeable under certain conditions. I tend to read iBooks in night mode and that's when it shows up the most, it can be quite distracting. I just wanted to see if this is normal before I take it in. Thank you very much.

  • My iPod Touch 4th Gen won't play certain songs?

Okay, so here's what happened. I opened my iTunes (the latest one) and it's also on the latest iOS, and then plugged my iPod touch into the computer. Since an album didn't have album artwork and I wanted an album artwork to show up in my ipod, I added them. After that, I let it sync. After that, I tried to play it but it won't play. Since it is a bunch of songs from an album (Adele-19), when I try to press and play it, it would skip swiftly and it won't play. The album artwork is there already but it won't play, instead, it will skip songs. When I tried to play it in iTunes, it works perfectly.
Also, I've tried turning the device off, even tried resetting it. But no luck. I just got this device last Christmas, didn't fall or anything. Can someone help me? Should I delete the music and put it on iTunes again? Thanks in advance!

  • IPod touch 4th gen will not connect to anything after update. Please help.

Ok, so I haven't updated my 4th gen ipod touch since I bought it, which was well over a year ago. Just recently, apps have started to force me to update to the newest iOS and many updates require it too, so I finally decided to update and get it over with. Well, I synced everything from my ipod and then updated. Well, to my horror after I came back I found out that even though I had CLEARLY synced my apps. They were gone on BOTH my ipod and my computer.
Not to say I was really ticked off or anything, but I had almost 15 GB or so of just apps on my 32 GB itouch. I read somewhere that I can go back and reinstall all my apps but that would be a PAIN. Turns out there aren't many others ways to go about doing it so I was left with little choice. Well, once again, I ran into the problem that absolutely nothing would connect on my ipod touch.
So, I have two problems actually:
    1. Is there anyway besides reinstalling apps for me to get back all the apps I had prior to updating my ipod? And in the future, how can I prevent itunes from deleting my apps when I clearly have them synced before updating?
    2. Why won't my ipod touch connect to anything wifi related? When I open the app store it just simply loads. And it will continue loading forever; I had it "loading" for about an hour until I decided to come here. Same goes with iCloud, facetime, Safari - just anything that has to do with connecting to my wifi.
Things I've done: I've restarted my ipod once already, I've reset my router as well, and I've also tried to disconnect from my router then reconnect. None of them have worked so far. Any help would be appreciated.

    - If synced media like apps and music are not in the iTunes library on the computer one which you update they will not be on the iPod after the update since the backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media..

  • My iPod touch 4th gen has the white screen of death and won't connect to iTunes to restore.

I was updating from iOS 6 beta 1 to beta 2 when my ipod froze up and started showing the white screen of death. • Ipod touch 4th gen no sound!

My Ipod Touch 4th gen has no sound!!!

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
