IPod touch 4th gen keeps freezing on random apps!!

I do notable what to do. I have my 4th generation iPod touch(64gb) and I'm not allowed to do certain things on certain apps. For example every time I use "Tweegram" it freezes and then either I force reboot it or I reboots by itself 3 mins later. On "KiK" I can't search user names. On "Crackle" I can't get past the fort advertisement. Please help me. I tried deleting and re-downloading and it doesn't work. Every time I reboot it, it just does it again. I quit the apps and then reboot but I'm still encountering the same problems. HELP PLEASE.

Try to set it up as new device, explained in this article:

  • My iPod touch 4th gen keeps asking for my iCloud password and it won't backup to my iCloud anymore.

My iPod touch 4th gen 8gb started to ask me for my iCloud password multiple times even when I put the correct password multiple times. I also checked my iCloud on my iPod and said that the latest backup to iCloud is unknown and says that my iCloud storage details are currently unavailable. Try again later. My iphone 4 also backs up to my iCloud but works perfectly fine. I can't get my email anymore on my iPod either. This started like yesterday and was working fine for a long time.

  • No app store present on iPod Touch 4th gen and can't sync apps in iTunes, tried restoring/updating

I've tried everything I know to fix this problem with no luck so far, I'm hoping someone can help. Note that iTunes has been updated to the latest version (and my friend's computer is running Windows 7, if that helps at all).
My friend has an iPod Touch 4th generation. A while back he asked me to help him get apps onto the iPod, and I discovered that the App Store on the iPod itself was nowhere to be found, nor can he remember ever having one. In addition to this, he can't sync apps onto the iPod from within iTunes - the option to sync in the apps tab is greyed out. The music/movies/etc. sync just fine, however. At the time, his iPod had iOS 4.1.
After checking for parental restrictions in his iTunes and the iPod, I found that his iPod has a restrictions password set, which he doesn't know. His parents have no memory of setting restrictions and don't know the password, either.
I read online that the only way to remove the restrictions password is to restore the iPod, and since this seemed to be a good idea anyway due to the odd issue with iTunes refusing to sync apps, we restored the iPod and updated to iOS 5.1 today. Unfortunately, the App Store is still nowhere to be found, and we still can't sync apps in iTunes. The iPod still claims a restrictions password has been set as well.
I have checked and double-checked that no restrictions are set in iTunes preferences. My friend created a new iTunes account, so that shouldn't be the problem. While we're hoping to get both iTunes sync and the iPod App Store app working properly, right now he just wants to be able to get apps onto his iPod.
Does anyone have any ideas why his iPod didn't come with an App Store app, why it still doesn't have the Store after restoring, why iTunes won't sync apps, or why the restrictions password is still set after the restore? I've honestly run out of ideas as to how to fix this.
Before I posted this, I did a little more looking online about the restrictions password, which is apparently restored along with a backup. Neither of us were present during the restore (we had to leave for a couple of hours after the restore had been started), so I'm only asking this because I don't have his iPod or computer with me at the moment to test it myself - is there a way to manually cancel restoring from a backup during the process? If so, I need to restore the iPod a second time.
In the meantime, any ideas about my other three questions?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Edit: His iTunes account is authorized, by the way.

What exactly happmens when you try? Error message?

  • IPod Touch 4th gen keeps on rebooting

Hi everybody out there, I am posting this because I am having a serious problem with my iTouch 4th gen. The problem below:
I did a full+trickle charge like five days ago and everything was going fine, I was using my iTouch and left it in standby for like two days, I checked for its battery level yesterday and it was 4% so it was obvious it wasn't going to last much time, so I decided to leave it until the battery was totally drained. I plugged it using my iPad charger and original charger and it started to charge but as soon as I was going to grab it to unlock it started to reboot and kept on rebooting. I left it connected and it was 12% but after five reboots it was under 5% and the battery seemed to be hot, It is obvious it is not a software problem. Any idea how to fix this? Do I have to replace the battery? Thanks in advance.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store or Apple Authorized Service provider is in order.

If not within warranty you can also Google for a third-party repair place.
If it is confirmed that it is the battery, yo can purchase a replacement for about $10 and replace it yourself if yo are up to it.

  • My ipod touch 5th gen, keeps freezing whenever i put it on a dock

I recently bought the Ipod toouvh 5th gen. I got a dock for it but after about 5 minute of using it, it would make a weird noise and my screen would me frozen. This happened a couple times causing us to return the dock thinking that was the problem. I then bought another one and when I used it my ipod would freeze on a song that was playing for exactly 2 minutes and 30 seconds, but its working fine now. Should I be worried? What should I do?

First let's find out whether the prob is with with the iOS or with the hardware itself.
Try a simple restart (Hold Power+Home for 10 secs till the logo appears)
If the above fails, try a full restore. (Make a backup)

  • My ipod touch 4th generation keeps lagging, all the apps crash, nothing will update and my home button no longer works?

my ipod touch will not stop crashing, its pretty much un usable now, is it worth resetting to default settings and clearing everything. Its about two years old and the screens been smashed twice and replaced, the home button no longer works, and now its slow and basically nothing even opens or updates. is it the end of my ipods life now ahah.

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. You can't do it
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

  • My iPod Touch 2nd gen keeps freezing up, how can I fix this? It will freeze for like a minute, then it goes back to normal, then in a few minutes it does it again.

    Question says it all.

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: How to back up
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
    -  Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

    CAUTION
Before you restore the iPod make sure that your iTunes library has the version of apps that are presently installed on your iPod. Many apps have been update and the update apps are not compatible with the 2G iPod. I would do that by deleting the apps from your iTunes library and then transfer them to iTunes. See:

  • HT201412 My iPod Touch 4th Gen keeps shutting off (like it's dying) and turns white and looks frozen...then an apple logo appears and takes a while to come back on. This only happens when I try to edit photos (cropping, especially)? Help me pleaseee!

When this happened the first time, I seriously thought it wouldn't come back on. I was trying to crop something out of the of a photo and it shut off like it was dying (it was fully charged) and then froze, turned white, then an apple logo appeared. Once it turned on i went back to do what i was doing and it did it again. The next time it turned on, I went to play Design this Home, and it didnt shut off..so my only reasoning is that this happens when i edit a photo...i haven't done anything abnormal with my iPod and don't understand why this is happening...please please help!

That is a known bug in iOS 5.1.1. The iPod "crashes" when editing photos. Just do not edit photos and wait for the next update. Most users have said it crashes when editing screen shots.

  • IPod touch 5th Gen keeps freezing

Yesterday I was using my iPod and it suddenly wouldn't turn on.  My Home button has been broken for at least 6 months, so I use the Sleep/Power button to turn the screen off and on.  Suddenly it wasn't responding.  Luckily, the iPod was almost dead so I let it die and that reset it.  Today, it has done it again.  I don't know where this is coming form but I use my iPod for most of my daily life, being on the movie most of my day and having to answer emails on the fly.  I do not know what to do to fix this.  I can't do a hard reset because of the lack of Home button.  This has happened once before, months ago.  Is it an iOS issue?  Or is it something else?  I can't afford to replace my iPod right now but it's well past the expiration date for the warranty.  Thank you!

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes and still the problem that indicates a hardware problem besides the Home button. Repair or replacement is required.
    If necessary
    Turn on without Home/Power Button

  • My iPod touch (4th gen) keeps crashing when I try to run my apps.

And that happens with EVERY app I try to launch, and they don't open past the loading interface. For example, if I select iBooks, it starts up and the initial loading empty bookshelf shows up but then after a couple of seconds the app crashes and I'm taken back to my home screen. What should I do?

    I had the same prob
Luckily i did not have much apps so i deletd all of them

  • IPod Touch 4th gen unable to install apps

Not sure where to start really. OK basically my iPod touch 4th gen is unable to download apps from the app store or any content from the iTunes app, the only way I can get new content on to my device is to sync it with iTunes on my mac (which isn't convenient for me)
after about 3 weeks of running my iPod without any problems, it starts out of nowhere and it doesn't matter what firmware I am running (it has happened on 4.1 and 4.2.1) the only way to fix it is a full DFU restore even more annoying than not being able to install apps without my mac.
Here is the message I get: http://i.min.us/ijfOIK.PNG
Anyone know what is up with my iPod? I have an old Touch 2G as well and its never done this to me.
Note: i am not jailbroken, but i have a few friends and family members that are jailbroken and have never had this problem.
if anyone knows anything i would appreciate it as i am now on my 13th DFU restore thanks to this problem
