IPod touch 4th Gen terribly slow. Don't know why
So I was syncing my iPod 4th gen on iTunes. Then my laptop overheated and shut itself down during the sync. After that, my iPod has been extremely slow, I would try opening camera, it would crash about 5 times before it can open. Then it would crash again when you try to take a picture. Setting crashes alot too. safari crashes. Animation of icons are choppy, it takes forever to stand by and wake up. The iPod is also very hot. I tried resetting it, its a bit faster but its still alot slower than before and its still hot.

Well that depends, what are you going to keep on your iPod touch.
Keep in mind the 16 GB 5th gen model does not include a rear camera, so if that is a consideration you should get the 32 GB. Also if you plan on storing large apps like games, etc. on your iPod you will need the extra storage.

Lost iPod Touch 4th Gen, not allowed to use iCloud
Hi all,
I recently misplaced my iPod Touch 4th Gen, I have done this before and have successfully used find my iPhone to locate it. However, there appears to have been some sort of update, and Apple will no longer allow me access to iCloud unless I set it up on a OSX or IOS device, which, has been lost. (I do not have a MAC).
Does anyone know of anyway that I can still use iCloud?
Any help appreciated.

Since you have iOS 6.1.2, you should have iMessage, make sure your AppleID is entered in the Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Apple ID: field.
Check the Contacts to see the friends are entered, and in their iPhone number field, indicate that those are iPhones, one of the choices you can make for the type of mobile phone. -
Recently my iPod touch 4th gen. was stolen. I have had it for two years, so I don't have a warranty on it anymore. I reported it to the police, but what will apple do? This one kid reported to them that his was stolen and they gave him a new one. Will they do the same for me? Is there any other way I can get all my pictures from my iPod without iCloud set up? Would Apple be able to lock up my iPod so they cant use it at all? Please help me, thanks (:

IPod Touch 4th Gen 64Gb EXTREAMLY slow to sync
My iPod Touch 4th Gen seems to have, in recent weeks, slowed down syncing. I have made no changes, and only use it for music, yet when new music goes on, it takes around 1.5mins per track to sync. The files size per track is the 5MB (192kbps MP3). So I am a little stumped as to explain why it is being so slow, and I do not have time to restore if I am to get the tracks back onto the iPod before I go away on a 2 day course tomorrow.

I have an iPod Touch 4th Gen. I have had it for around 4 years now. It is getting slower by the day! I tried restoring it but it was a temporary solution! I have minimum apps but still it is very slow. Please Help!!
Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.

So i was updating my white ipod touch 4th gen and i restarted the ipod while it was half way done. Then after it restarted it would crash right after the apple sign...it would turn white, red,purple,green...any ideas of how to fix it??

After I updated my ipod touch 4th gen from 4.3.3 to 5.0.1, it doesn't show up on itunes even if i already connected it to my PC. ( i use windows XP). i recently purchased an in app purchase which is showing up on my itunes account as a purchased but has not shown up on my ipod touch 4th gen. (think it was due to losing my wifi connection during download).
i went into problem solving on the itunes store to rectify the issue to discover that i needed to go via my app store on my ipod to purchase history, which on the ipod touch 4th gen is supposidly at the bottom of downloads... after trying this i discovered that i have no option to go into purchases as this does not exist on my downloads options nor does it exist anywhere on my ipod version of the app store?? can someone please help?? im miffed. :sThanks King_Penguin for taking time to read and reply.
I just purchased this movie on Thursday, May 15, so just a few days ago. I have never had any trouble whatsoever since I have been in Vietnam. I have downloaded several movies and even music and they have all synced to my respected Apple products except for this purchase.

My iPod touch (4th gen) suddenly went blank, and I can't get it back on!
I was listening to music and downloading songs from the iTunes Store on my iPod touch (4th gen) when suddenly the screen went blank. The music I was listening to was still playing in my headphones. When I unplugged the headphones, the music oddly continued playing from the built-in speakers, instead of pausing like it normally does when you remove the headphones without pausing. I think the music finally stopped shortly after I plugged the headphones back in.
Since this happened, the iPod has not responded at all when I press or hold buttons. The screen has remained blank and turned off. Surprisingly, iTunes still recognizes the iPod when I connect it to my computer (Windows Vista laptop, if it matters) and tries to sync. Since iTunes is very poorly written, it almost always freezes at some point before I can successfully finish syncing, but this was happening before my iPod blank-screened, so it isn't related to the problem.

ive been trying to update since friday my internet is perfect [speedtest.net] itunes just wont get past [backing up ipod[ i hope they fix this soon and i just wanted to see if anybody else was also having this problem because i want the new features coming with ios but its just not working and it took all night just to get roughly to about 20% completion of backing up ipod then when i got home it said "could not restore ipod its still on firmware 4.3.3 so i dont know why it said could not restore i did click "update" but anyway im having this problem and wondering if anyone else is {i think everybodys having problems itunes10.5 right nowI am having the same problem (lost in back-up purgatory) on both my iPhone 4 and my iPad2. I have tried everything I've seen suggested on various support communities, with no success.
I have gotten used to having to find a windows workaround everytime Apple updates iTunes, and this time it is especially frustrating.
I don't have any solutions, and I am responding to all of these types of messages in hopes of finding something that will work for me.
One person was able to work through it by deleting all of the previous iTunes backup files. I'm trying that now. 4 hours into it, and it does not seem to be working......

Can I snap a full screen slideshow to browser?
I was successful in using 'Fullscreen" shideshow but the slideshow will not scroll with the browser. The other slideshows don't want to 'snap' to browser edge. I want a browser width slideshow that will scroll with the page. How do I do this? Th
