IPod Touch 4th Generation BATTERY / CONNECTIVITY. Help?
Hi, two weeks ago I got a 4th Generation, 32gb iPod Touch. I charged the battery for an entire day before I used the iPod and all was well for about three days. Now my iPod is connected to the computer and will not turn on. My iPod will not work unless plugged into the wall charger and even then it says the battery is 100%, however, as soon as I unplug the iPod it turns off. I don't want to lose all the things I bought from iTunes or my apps. So, what should I do? It won't turn on at all.
Try a hard reset and go from there.

IPod touch 4th generation battery
Hello,
I own an iPod touch 4th generation. It seems like my battery goes down very fast. I last charged today at 3:00 PM, which was half an hour ago. It already went down 25% when all I did was play a game like 5 times (Ice cream Jump). Is this normal?
I would appreciate if it was a good answer, not just like "look at this". I already read the Apples battery for iPod touch page ( help page and tells you to lower your brightness, etc...). It does not help.
Thanks!See the suggestionas included in the following for extending battery life. I place my iPod in airplane mode overnight. That helps a lot since when asleep the iPod is still try to connect to the internet for notifications and other things.

How can I get my ipod touch 4th generation to connect to the computer
hi, when I go to connect my ipod touch 4th generation to the computer an error sign come up which says either "this device is not recognised " or " there has been an error that has occured therefore ipod can not connect" this is problem 1.
problem 2. is that when my ipod does connect, if I bump the chord it logs out straight away and not knowing what is happening I have tried everything like blowing in the connection turning my ipod on and off and even restoring my ipod to its original settings.
Once I restored it a sign in itunes said that it has found an ipod in recovery and to be able to use the ipod with itunes I had to restore and update which I have done many times but nothing is working PLEASE HELP!!!

How do I fix the connection issues on my iPod Touch 4th generation to connect to iMessage?
I am getting very frustrated with this iPod Touch 4th generation. I have been using my 2nd generation iPod Touch to use iMessage to text people and use as a 'fake iPhone' because carrying around my cell phone and iPod is annoying.
Basically, I have tried multiple times to change the DNS on every network to the google public server (8.8.8.8) and this does not work.
I attempt to sign in to my Apple ID on iMessage and it says "iMessage Activation: Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." Even though it claims I cannot connect to the internet, I can connect and browse on Safari and other Apps, but iMessage (also Facetime) will never connect or let me sign in. I continually receive that error message that I need to check my network connection. I just don't understand why. iMessage will work on my iPad 3rd gen and my iPod Touch 2nd gen, but not my iPod Touch 4th gen.
I am using my college's WiFi network and it is hit and miss in my building, but both my iPod touch 2nd gen and iPad 3rd gen can receive iMessages and everything fine. I am starting to think that the 4th gen ipod touch just has a crappy wifi receiver or something.
PLEASE help me fix this. I don't know what else to do.
I just updated to iOS 6.1.2 and that did not fix it either.I know this question is no related directly to your topic, but I wanted to know how did you get imessage in ipod touch 2g. I have one but it doesn't have imessage. I will appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

My Ipod Touch 4th Generation wont connect to Itunes anymore
I have an Ipod touch 4th generation and suddenly it wont connect to my itunes anymore. It will connect to the computer but the device isnt shown on itunes. I cant sync my ipod up with any music or apps or even transfer pictures from my ipod to my computer. I have a Windows XP. Please help. I need my music. It used to connect automatically and with no problem.

See if placing the iPod in Recovery Mode will allow the restore. -
How much will it cost to have Apple replace my iPod Touch 4th Generation battery?
My iPod Touch 4th Generation dies very quickly. I can have it on the charger for hours and if i take it off the battery will drain very quickly. So I was wondering if i can take it into Apple Store and have them change the battery and how much it will cost for them to do that?

New software update for iPod touch 4th generation? PLEASE HELP!!
Ok so here is the problem: I have the iPod touch 4th generation with software version 4.3 (I have had my iPod for about 7 months) and recently within the past week or so I have started experiencing multiple crashes with many different various apps and games. Just random games crashing and then I noticed it happening with the Facebook app and even Safari on my iPod! I had to get off of my iPod and come on the computer to type this message out because Safari would crash every single time I tried to type this on my iPod! So at first I figured it was the apps and games' problems, but then as more and more began to crash, like Facebook and Safari, I figured it is the Apple software version 4.3 acting up. So I was wondering, is Apple working on a new software update for iPod touch 4th gen.? Or is this a rare problem? Is there anyone out there having this same problem? Or anyone at all that can PLEASE help me?! MANY THANKS!

NEW IPOD Touch 4th Generation - Cannot connect Wi-Fi to Secured Network
Hi,
I'm having issues with connecting my IPOD Touch to my Linksys Secured WPA2 network.
My IPOD touch is 4th Generation.
OS = 4.2.1
It sees my Network and asks me to type in the password. The password is very long and after I type it in it states "Unable to join the network"
Can anyone help? Is there an App I can download to help?You do not need to input the MAC address into your router unless you have the router set to MAC address filtering (which I suggest you leave off).
Second, an overly long password just creates a host of problems and provides little, if any, extra protection. WPA2 has never been cracked and anything over 8-12 characters is going to take more computer horsepower than is available in the world today. So, shorten the password and log your touch onto your network. -
IPod touch 4th Generation Battery Life Is Too Short!
Ok whats going on is that after 10 to ll hours the battery is at 20%. I dont even use my iPod that MUCH thats right not that often. Only time I use it is to sometimes play a game for like 10 to 20 minutes at most. Maybe watch a video or two maybe three and listen to music. But I've notice that I dont use it much but the battery drains quickly and I just got it in late August (2012). I even set the brightnest to the lowest to give me maxium battery life nope that doesnt help too much just gives me an extra hour at most. Another thing I turn off my notifications so the screen doesnt keep turning on and off. I do the double tap home button to close the apps that resume after I left the app. All sounds are silent what else could I possibly do to save battery life turn it off completely. I'm charging this thing every night for crying out LOUD!!!

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar. The sidebar is where Devices appears. and Control+B to show the Menu bar

so this christmas that just assed i got a new ipod touch 4th generation! recently it has fallen and cracked and at the top left corner pieces came off, but after 2 days ago i couldnt get wifi at my house! i do not have a router but i always could get it perfectly in my room from my neighbor! but recently its been agravating me because i cant do anything about it, and at school id et wifi everywhere but now i only et it in one class!
and also i have the pinger textfree app and it wont let me get on it, it will sit there with the logo for 5 minutes and bring me back to my home on my ipod even without wifi, can someone explain to me why my ipod is acting all weird? i also resetted it 2 times and nothing happened i resetted my networks and nothing, someone please help me wiht my problem! ):Does the Ipod see the network?

As I've already mentioned, I can't connect to iTunes or the App Store, the same message appears every time: "Cannot connect to the iTunes Store". I downloaded a few apps before I connected my iPad Mini to my Computer. I started doing an update that was about 9 or 10 hours long, somewhere around that time, and I unplugged it about halfway through the update and since then I've not been able to get onto iTunes or the App Store. I checked to see if I could continue the update but when I looked on iTunes again, no updates appeared. On my iPod Touch 4th Generation, everything works absolutely fine and it is logged into the same Apple ID. I've tried resetting my Network Settings, logging into someone else's Apple ID, connecting to a different Wifi, changing the DNS settings to 8.8.8.8, rebooting my Computer and iPad and changing the HTTP Proxy to Auto. Is there anything else I could try or am I just overlooking something? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out here, thanks!
Can you connect to a wifi source on the device? Enable wifi in settings on the device itself. If you don't have wifi at home, there may be a local hotspot you can use for this.
The reason this happens is carriers don't want people downloading huge files that would slow their network as well as eat up your data plan. -
I just got a new iPod touch 4th generation and I'm trying to connect to my router and my iPod says, 'Cannont find network.' I don't know what to do! No other networks come up on the list so I can't 'tag' along with thier wifi. Please help. I need advice.
What type network is yu router set up for? The 4G iPod can only connect and see 2.4 GHZ networl like B, G and the 2,4 GHz N. There is also a 5 GHz N but the iPod will not even seethat network.
