IPod touch 5 shuts down

My iPod touch 5 will freeze lately. When this happens I have to restart the iPod touch. This is starting to happen more and more. Especially when I play games or check my emails. My iPod touch 5 is over two years old and it has worked really good until recently.

Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

This has happened before so i know what to do, BUT, my main menu button has been broken for a month so I just shut down my iPod to get out of apps. But, now since it won't turn on and I can't reset it, how do I fix it?

If you still have the problem after restoring to factory defaults/new iPod you likely have a hardware and an appointment a the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

My 5th gen ipod touch dropped face down (with case) and now it will not turn on and is not recognized by my PC. Can anyone help me? I had alot of videos and pictures on it and don't want to loose them.

Last week my 5th generation ipod touch dropped face down onto the ground. When picked up the screen was black and did not turn back on. I tried to connect it to the laptop but it did not recognize the ipod. Also when it is plugged into the laptop the area by the camera gets warm like it is charging. But still has a black screen. I've tried to reset and count to 10, but nothing happends. Is there anything that can be done to fix this? Or is it completely dead? Somebody, anybody please help.

My brand new 6th gen ipod nano keeps shutting down after about 30 seconds?

My new 6th generation ipod nano keeps shutting down after 30 seconds. It has been registered with itunes and has about 200+ songs on it. I have not tried to reset it because i was not sure what this would do. Please help!

This is usually a sign that your headphones are not plugged all the way in. Make sure you cannot see any silver still showing from the headphone's plug. It may require a little extra force to get the headphones to become fully inserted. You should hear a sort of clicking noise indicating that they have been fully seated.
Also check the headphone port from a damage or debris.

Ipod touch will not down load my music

When I try to restore it comes up with an error message (there has been a range of numbers). The I touch works, just not with itunes.
Sometimes it recognises and tries to restore. Other times it does not recognise.
I have read on a forum to change the letter assigned to a drive but I cannot see a letter assigned in the disk manager to be able to reassign.
I have changed and reinstalled the Apple mobile device support .
The problem seem to start after an update.
I have spent hours trying to solve this, any advice would be great!

IPod 30g windows shuts down

As soon as iPod 30g is attached to Windows XP, iTunes does not recognise it and sends message "Windows has encountered a problem and must shut down" Have updated iTunes and Quicktime, but same problem occurs. Please help??
