IPod touch 5G release date

I want to buy an IPod but there have been some roumors around that a new iPod touch will be announced.But please tell the release date of the next gen ipod touch.
And what are possible updates for the new touch? And should I wait for 5th generation or buy the current 4th generation ipod?

Nobody knows (except for apple of course). All it says on the ipod touch page that it ships in October so it could be any date. I predict that it is in the first two weeks of October but when it says buy it now instead of pre-order you know its about to come out.

Hey Anniejan, "Tomorrow!!" No, not really, just screwing with you. As Niel stated this is the last place Apple will release information about release dates. If you need a new device, "urgent", then your looking at an iPhone or the latest iPad, otherwise it's a dated iPod 5. But the later in the year it gets the less likely there will be a release at all. If you need more information now, try goggle and see what the rumor mill has to say about a release, but there has been nothing official from Apple, in other words, "Your guess is as good as anyone else's." Well we don't know, we aren't Apple.
But i would say no. They just released the fifth generation in September last year which was a big update in comparision to the 4th gen one.
And they released a new 16 GB model like a month ago.

It shouldn't be. You can use multiple Apple ID's one one device. But keep in mind that purchases made under one ID are permanently tied to that ID. So if you need to update an app that was purchased with a certain Apple ID, it will needed to be updated with those Apple ID credentials.

Sorry, but as has been said in the many previous threads asking about availability and release dates, we are all just fellow users and have no more information about release of the iPod touch in your country than you do. You'll just have to wait for Apple to announce availability.

Unable to Sync iPod Touch using release 5.1.1 with iMac running IOS 10.7.4

My iPod Touch (release 5.1.1) refuses to sync with my iMac (release 10.7.4).. I have reset the iPod, Restored the iPod, plugged in into the iMac numberous times, told it to sync from both iTunes and from the iPod but it always refuses to sync and eventually gives the error message that states 'iPod could not be synced becasue the sync session failed to start'.

How to set up a new iPod Touch and transfer data from old IPod Touch

ok, it's Friday night, I finished the cheese and about 1/2 a bottle of wine (myself... not ideal for a smurf my size) and I still can't find the answer to my question after searching [to the best of my most current ability] all over the forums (I even searched long before I started drinking wine). I appologize right now for my ignorance and inability to find the answer on my own.... but could someone PLEASE, just tell me the best way to kill my daughter's Ipod Touch 2nd Gen (advertised as Gen 3, ha, ha, on me), and set up her new-(to-us) Ipod Touch Gen 4? I've already backed up her old device to my computer? (it's a PC - sorry, it's free from my husband's office)
Do I set up her new-ish Gen 4 as a "new device" or "restore from back up?" She's young enough (grade school - & why she gets old/cheaper HW) that we both still uses my iTunes acct for her device and mine so that I own & can monitor/manage the music that we both listen to... but this time I'll set up her own iCloud acct. Although the new device (let's call it device B) has been wiped clean from the last user, how do I set it up? New device or restore from bk up? Now that she saved up the $ I paid for it, to pay me, she's driving me crazy about getting it going for her. Her orig/current device, iPod Gen 2ish (we can refer to that as device A) has been backed up to my computer and I'd like to port all of her data (calendar, contacts, pictures/movies, etc) to her new device. Please help this old mom... my girl is driving me crazy... and I feel bad not delivering her goods. Many thanks.

Can you have 2 accounts for the one iPod touch without wiping data?

My daughter got an iPod touch for christmas, however she has bought some items from the store from her mums account. I do not want to use her mums account, that is for her own use. However if I want to make an account with only iTunes credit on it on the same iPod is this possible without wiping all the previously bought data?

An iPod can be synced to only one computer and one iTunes account. There's no way around that. Sorry.

IPod touch not getting data

Using WRT54G, version 1.0. I tried to upgrade the firmware, but it failed.
Ipod Touch works at hotspots, but not at home. It looks like it's on my network with a strong signal, but will not update any info or connect to anything.
I'm using MAC id's to only allow my laptop and the ipod on the network. Laptop has worked for 2 years, no problem.
Turned off mac enabling, still no connection. Tried the "forgrt this network" trick, reset ipod, unplugged router for 30 seconds, nothing changes. Any suggestions?

To upgrade your router's firmware you need to make sure that you have downloaded the correct firmware file...
Download the Firmware from here , make sure to select the correct version and then download the firmware...
Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware on the device : -
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on a computer hard wired to the router...
In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1...Leave the username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
Click on the 'Administration' tab- Then click on the 'Firmware Upgrade' sub tab- Here click on 'Browse' and browse the .bin firmware file and click on "Upgrade"...
Wait for few seconds until it shows that "Upgrade is successful" After the firmware upgrade, click on "Reboot" and you will be returned back to the same page OR it will say "Page cannot be displayed".
Now reset your router :
Press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
If the firmware upgrade fails, then reset your router for 30 seconds and retry...If it fails again then try to upgrade the firmware using the tftp utility...
Download TFTP Utility...This will act as a TFTP Utility...
Double click the tftp.exe file and click run :
For Server- Enter the IP Address of the router that you assigned. By default, the router is 192.168.1.1...
For Password- Enter the password you assigned the router. By default, the router’s password is “admin”.
For File- Click the triple “…” button and browse for the .bin firmware file...
Click Upgrade button to start upgrading. A progress bar should show up to show the progress.
Once the Upgrade is done press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds...Release the reset button...Unplug the power cable from your router, wait for 30 seconds and re-connect the power cable...Now re-configure your router...
Once your router is configured open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
Click on the Wireless tab
-Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
-Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
- Set the Wireless channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WEP, Encryption should be 64 bits.Leave the passphrase blank, don't type in anything...
Under WEP Key 1 type in any 10 numbers please(numbers only and no letters eg: your 10 digit phone number) and click on save settings...
Please make a note of WEP Key 1 as this is the Security Key for the Wireless Network...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

I have just downgraded my iPod touch 5th generation from ios 8 to ios 7.1.2 . after downgrading, all my data (apps, music, document) in the iPod touch were lost, but photos were manage to recover. when I connect to the computer, it show that others in the capacity column used up almost 18 GB of memory. What is in others? Why it used up so much memory? How can I recover my lost data?

You may not be able to restore the data since when you downgrade from a backup made with a new iOS version data does not transfer.
An "other" larger than about 1 1/2 GB indicates corrupted files.

Next, usually restoring from backup eliminated the corrupted files. However, sometimes restoring to factory settings/new iPod is required.

Again, Apple has not announced anything regarding any new versions of the iPod touch. If you want to guess March, you are certainly free can do so, though Apple has never released a new model of the iPod touch in any month other than September, as you yourself list.
