IPod touch 5g won't sync with iTunes windows 8.1

I updated to iTunes 11.1.4.62 on windows 8.1. Now my iPod touch will not sync when it's plugged in to iTunes. I've been syncing with this pc since I got my iPod no problems until now it asked me wheather I trust this pc now I want this fixed.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features(Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (If this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

it doesn't matter anymore. for some bizzare reason, it just synced properly!!!!!!!! Try:
- Powering off and then back on your router.
- iTunes for Windows: iTunes cannot contact the iPhone, iPad, or iPod software update server
- Change the DNS to either Google's or Open DNS servers
Public DNS — Google Developers
OpenDNS IP Addresses
- Try on another computer/network
- Wait if it is an Apple problem
Then try restoring again.

Ive tried resetting it but doesnt seem to help.

Try rooboting the computer.
Try different cable and USB port
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

Tried to update to newest version. I got error because i didn't have this recovery program disc that was supposed to come with the purchase but it didn't and now my ipod touch 8gb won't connect with itunes and is stuck on a connection with itunes screen

oke i'm not done with the whole thing, but i'm doing that right now. Most of the advice I've already read didn't work and at a certain point it said something about shutting down programs then restart. but i notice that there are some pretty important system things in that list and i don't want to mess up my pc :s i'm not a pc genius... and because i'm dutch and my pc-language is in dutch I often have trouble translating and well... i don't always understand the technical stuff in all the articles -_-

Once the Device is asking to be Restored with iTunes... it is too late to save anything...
To minimise loss... Connect to iTunes on the computer you Usually Sync with and Restore from the most recent Backup...

Please just give me a clue! Is anyone else having the same problem as me. Ok, Dell XPS Laptop running windows 7 home premium, 2 Terabyte Drives, 8 Gigs Ram, all windows updates installed, AntiVirus up-to-date, and no new programs installed since buying my ipod touch. I have had it for 2 weeks with no problems at all, then 2 days ago my ipod stopped syncing with itunes. Note: When I installed my ipod I had version 4.3ios and after it stopped syncing I checked my device summary and I noticed my software version was 4.3.1ios. My main two questions are: 1. Is this a problem with 4.3.1? 2. Is there any fix or workaround that anyone might know about? Any answers would be better than none, please help or give a little insight as I am new to owning an ipod as this is my first.

Thanks "lllaass," But it seems as though many win7 64 bit users are and have been having the same problem for over a year. Microsoft and Apple have not as of yet taken steps for a fix as they have been investigating the issue for well over a year. I am so sorry I bought an iPOD at this point, all included it's been $400 dollars out of pocket and hours of frustration and searching forums for answers. Apple just sold me a headache wrapped in sales hype. This is disappointing and I truly doubt I'd buy another Apple product again without THOROUGHLY investigating forums about the item. IPod touch (1G) won't connect to iTunes Windows 7

iPod touch firmware is 3.1.3. iTunes is version 10.3.1.55. Windows 7 is Professional version, 64-bit.
I've found a number of web posts about this issue dating back to 2009, but none of those solve my issue or exactly describe it. I can put my iPod touch into Device Recovery Mode, connect to iTunes, and restore the iPod, but once that is done, I cannot connect the device to iTunes (Windows 7 64-bit mode). However, I can connect the iPod to my Vista laptop, and I can connect the iPod to my Windows 7 machine if I run iTunes in the XP Mode virtual machine (32 bit). I've gone through the steps looking for a conflicting USB service, and if there is one, it's part of Windows 7. This started after I updated iTunes recently, but I'm not sure that had anything to do with it since I had not connected it in a while, and the first thing I did was update iTunes. Any ideas? I own an iPod touch 1st generation and for some reason it won't sync music properly with the latest version of iTunes. This problem has been going on for about 6 months. I have found some way around it but it involves wiping the iPod entirely and then syncing it with my iTunes. This, however, is a very long process and I want to know if there is a solution. I do understand that this is a very old iPod (c. 2005) but I've had it from new and other than this problem it works perfectly fine and has a decent battery life. I don't really care much for apps I just want to be able to listen to my music on the train without having to fork out for a new iPod or iPhone.

Ok. I am going to make this quick. I just bought a new ipod off amazon from Apple. its a 35Gb 4th Generation ipod touch. I am able to sync my itunes library sometimes. Only SOMETIMES. I have about 1200 song on it now. But evertime i plug my ipod into my PC. iTunes comes up, but freezes up. itunes works fine when the ipod is not connected, but when it is, it freezes up. I can leave it for about 5 minuets and it will unfreeze and i will be able to use itnes, but itunes wont show my ipod is connected. AT ALL. I did the diagnostic, but that freezes up to. Only sometimes will it sync. I updated to the latest version. I think this is either a issue with itunes or the ipod. because my brother has the new nano, and his syncs perfectly fine everytime. Only on my account on windows 7 with MY $300.00 ipod touch will it not work. Anyone help me out here.
This is what i have done so far:
Reset ipod via sleep wake and home key while connected < no fix
Ended any process in the background of windows, that may affect itunes < No fix
updated to latest itunes version and ipod version < No fix
That's all i could think of. This evidently is sync issue.

IPod touch 4g will not sync with iTunes after ios6

I upgraded my iPod touch 4g to ios6, and I have iTunes 10.7.0.21 my iPod touch will not sync my music. When it starts I receive an error about a song, different each time I've tried it.
It gets stuck most times (Step 5 of 5) Waiting for changes to be applied. Never moves past and eventually the "sync" spinning circle on the iPod disappears, but iTunes still says it's "waiting".
It appears to have sync the apps, but NO MUSIC .... HELP!
I've already rebooted several times over the past few days, I even went as far as restoring my iPod but now all I have is a really shiny paper weight, not worth a damm penny now.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm on a Windows 7 machines, while I'm not very technicial, I can follow clear steps!

I am not trying to sync with mutlitple libraries. I did an iPod restore till it was back at configuration state, then attempted to sync it with the XP system. It failed to sync with any options.
I then did another restore to try again on the Windows 7 machine and it was successful.
